SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite
accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as
in the presence of ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power
tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2. Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense
when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you
are tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection.
Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes,
hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the
off-position before inserting the battery, picking up or carrying the
tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or plugging
in power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power
tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the
power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing, neckties, or jewelry
that can get caught and draw you into moving parts. Rubber gloves
and nonskid footwear are recommended when working outdoors.
Also wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
3. Operator Safety
a) Do not start the tool when it is upside down or when it is not
in the operating position.
b) Switch the motor off and remove the plug when the tool is not
being used, left unattended, being cleaned, being moved from
one place to another or when the extension cord is entangled
or damaged.
c) Do not operate the tool near people, especially children or
pets. Turn it off if they get too close. Maintain a safe distance of at
least 5m from other people when using the tool.
d) Never direct the blower tube towards bystanders or pets.
Never blow debris in the direction of bystanders or pets. The
operator is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other

people or their property.
e) Do not handle the battery pack or the tool with wet hands and
do not use the tool in the rain.
f) Keep all the air intakes and the blower tube free of dust, lint,
hair and other material that may cause a reduction in air ow.
g) Keep a balanced and stable stance while using the tool.
h) Do not switch on the tool in enclosed or poorly ventilated
spaces or in the presence of inammable and /or explosive
substance such as liquids, gases and powders.
i) Do not get distracted and always focus on what you are doing.
Use common sense. Never operate the tool when you are tired,
sick or under the inuence of alcohol or other drugs.
j) Do not operate this appliance with long loose hair or loose
tting jewellery. Tie long loose hair back and remove loose tting
jewellery.
k) Only operate the tool during broad daylight or with adequate
articial light.
l) When the tool is not in use, store it in a dry place and out of
reach of children.
m) After use, remove battery from the tool and check for damage.
If you have the slightest doubts, contract an authorized service
center.
n) Only use the tool according to the instructions given in this
manual.
o) Check regularly that screws are tight.
p) Use only spare parts and accessories recommended by the
manufacturer.
q ) Do not try to repair the tool or access internal parts. For
repairs, contact authorized service centers only
4. Battery Safety Rules
a) Do not charge battery in rain or in wet locations.
b) Do not use battery-powered appliance in the rain.
c) Remove or disconnected the battery before servicing,
cleaning or removing material from the gardening appliance.
d) Do not dispose of the battery in a re, The cell may explode.
Check with local codes for possible special disposal instructions.
e) Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte is
corrosive and may cause damage to the eyes or skin. It may be
toxic if swallowed.
f) Exercise care in handling batteries. Not to short the battery with
conducting materials such as rings, bracelets and keys. The
battery or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
g) Be aware of your working environment. Batteries can explode
in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light. To
reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless
product in the presence of open ame. An exploded battery
can propel debris and chemicals. If exposed, ush with water
immediately.
h) Do not crush, drop or damage battery pack. Do not use a

battery pack or charger that has been dropped or received a sharp
blow. A damaged battery is subject to explosion. Properly dispose
of a dropped or damaged battery immediately.
i) Proper charging temperature. For best results, your battery pack
should be charged in a location where the temperature is between
41°F and 104°F(5°C to 40°C). Charging time will be increased if
the battery is charged in lower or higher temperature.
j) Pay attention to battery leakage. Under extreme usage or
temperature conditions, battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes
in contact with your skin, wash immediately with soap and water,
then neutralize with lemon juice or vinegar. If liquid gets into your
eyes, ush them with clean water for at least 10 minutes, then,
seek immediate medical attention. Following this rule will reduce
the risk of serious personal injury.
5. Charger Safety Rules
a) Do not place any object on top of charger or place the charger
on a soft surface that might block the ventilation slots and
result in excessive internal heat. Place the charger in a position
away from any heat source. The charger is ventilated through slots
in the top and the bottom of the housing.
b) Do not mount charger on wall or permanently afx charger to
any surface. The charger is intended to use on a at, stable
surface (i.e., table top, bench top).
c) Do not operate charger with damaged cord or plug —have
them replaced immediately.
d) Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp blow,
been dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way. Take it to an
authorized service center.
e) Do not disassemble charger; take it to an authorized service
center when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly
may result in a risk of electric shock, electrocution or re.
f) Disconnect the charger from the outlet before attempting any
cleaning. This will reduce the risk of electric shock. Removing the
battery pack will not reduce this risk.
g) NEVER attempt to connect 2 chargers together.
h) The charger is designed to operate on standard house hold
electrical power (120 Volts). Do not attempt to use it on any other
voltage.

APPLICATION
Read all safety warnings and instructuions.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric
shock. re and /or serious injury.
Intended Use
The HAUSSMANN cordless blower is intended for blowing leaves and
garden debris.
Check the box contents
Carefully remove the machine from its packaging and check the
following parts are present:
-- 18V blower
-- Blower tube
- 18V Battery (in tool kit)
- 18 V charger (in tool kit)
If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact Customer Service
at 1-866-206-0888.

ASSEMBLY
WARNING! To avoid injury and to reduce the risk of electrical shock or
re:
• Replace the battery pack or charger immediately if the battery case
or charger cord is damaged.
• Always make sure the string trimmer switch is OFF before inserting
or removing the battery pack.
• Always make sure the battery pack is removed and the switch is
OFF, before assembling, inspecting, adjusting, or maintaining any
other part of the grass trimmer.
• Read, understand, and follow the Battery Charger instructions.
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove the machine and accessory from the box. Make sure
that all items listed on previous page are included. Inspect the machine
carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during
shipping. Keep the packing material until you have carefully inspected
and satisfactorily operated the machine.
2. Charge the battery
WARNING: Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If
battery pack case is cracked or damaged, do not insert into charger. Do
not crush, drop or damage battery pack.
Do not use a battery pack or charger that has received a sharp blow,
been dropped, run over or damaged in any way (i.e., pierced with a
nail, hit with a hammer, stepped on). Damaged battery packs should be
returned to service center for recycling.
WARNING: Fire hazard. Do not store or carry battery so that metal
objects can contact exposed battery terminals. For example, do not
place battery in aprons, pockets, tool boxes, product kit boxes, drawers,
etc., with loose nails, screws, keys, etc.

Use the charger in normal room temperature whenever possible. To
prevent overheating, do not cover the charger and do not charge battery
pack in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Always unplug the charger from the power supply when there is no
battery pack in the cavity.
• Plug the adapter into an appropriate AC power outlet. The green
LED light comes on indicating the adapter is ready for use.
• Connect the plug wire to the charger.
• Insert the battery pack into the charger, the green LED light will
change to red to indicate charge. The battery pack will only t into
the charger one way. Do not force the battery pack. Be sure that
the battery pack is fully seated in the charger.
• The battery pack will be fully charged after about 1 hour, and the
red LED light will change to green continuously. Unplug the adapter
and remove the battery pack.
• The adapter, charger and battery pack can be left connected with
the green LED indenitely. The charger will keep the battery pack
fresh and fully charged.
• The best storage place is one that is cool and dry away from direct
sunlight and excess heat or cold.
Note: The battery pack needs to be charged before rst use and
whenever it fails to produce sufcient power on jobs that were
easily done before. Recharge discharged batteries as soon as
possible after use or battery life may be greatly diminished
For best results, your battery pack should be charged in a location

The adapter, charger and battery pack maybe become warm when
charging which is a normal condition.

3. Assemble the blow tube (Fig. 3)
WARNING! Remove the battery pack before attempting to assemble the
blow tube.
• Line up the blow tube with the blower housing, push the blow tube
into the blower housing until you hear it “snap” into place
• Make sure the lock button engages the lock hole on the blow tube.

4. Install and remove the battery (Fig.4)
WARNING! Make certain the lock-off button is engaged to prevent
switch actuation before removing or installing battery.
• To install battery pack, push the battery pack into the handle of
the blower, slide the battery pack until fully seated with an audible
click.
• To remove battery pack, depress the battery pack release button
in the back of the battery pack, slide the battery pack backwards to
stop position and pull it out of the blower.
