Your Hazro product is designed and manufactured with high quality materials and components which
can be recycled and reused. In the European Union, the label to the left indicates that this product
should not be disposed of with household waste. It should be deposited at an appropriate facility to
enable recovery and recycling. In the EU, there are separate collection systems for used electrical and

Maintenance and Care
Ensure the monitor is switched off from the mains for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting to
clean the glass surface. Simply switching off the monitor from the OSD menu is not recommended and
should be avoided.
To avoid material degradation or screen coating degradation, observe the following precautions.
To remove dust from the screen surface/cabinet, wipe gently with a soft cloth. If dust is persistent, ▪
wipe with a soft cloth slightly moistened with a diluted mild detergent solution.
Never use any type of abrasive pad, alkaline/acid cleaner, scouring powder, or volatile solvent, such▪as alcohol, benzene, thinner or insecticide. Using such materials or maintaining prolonged contact
with rubber or vinyl materials may result in damage to the glass protection, screen surface and
cabinet material.
Periodic vacuuming of the ventilation openings is recommended to ensure to proper ventilation.▪When adjusting the angle of the monitor, move it slowly so as to prevent the monitor set from ▪
moving or slipping off from its table stand.
Image Persistence
Image persistence is when a residual or “ghost” image of a previous image remains visible on the
screen. Unlike CRT monitors, image persistence on LCD or LED displays is not permanent [although
constant images being displayed for a long period of time should be avoided]. To remedy image
persistence, turn off the monitor for as long as the previous image was displayed. For example, if an
image was displayed for one hour and a residual image remains, the monitor should be turned off for one
hour to erase the image.
NOTE: As with all personal display devices, Hazro recommends using a moving screen saver at regular
intervals whenever the screen is idle or turning off the monitor when not in use.
Recommended Use
Prior to installation, please ensure that the graphics card on your computer is set to the native resolution
of the monitor (2560x1440). Be aware that not all graphics cards provide this resolution. If this is the
case, check the graphics card manufacturer’s website for an updated driver. Software video drivers
are often updated and are made available for new hardware video resolutions. However, if no software
update is available, you may need to replace and update the graphics card in order to support the native
resolution of the monitor. If you select a resolution other than the native one, be aware that this causes
interpolation which results in the image becoming blurred and irregular in thickness. It is preferable to
adjust the image position, resolution and frequency via the graphics card software utility. Please ensure
that all adjustments are made after a warm-up period of at least 30 minutes.

Available Temperature & Humidity
Operating Temperature: 0 ~ 35°C Storage Temperature: -10 ~ 50°C
Operating Humidity: 10 ~ 90 % RH Storage Humidity: 40 ~ 70 % RH
For dot defect [dead pixel] of TFT
Hazro monitors are manufactured using high-end semiconductor technology with precision ratings of
99.9% and above. However, it may be the case that certain RGB and white pixels seem darker (or
entirely unlit i.e. black). Should such a situation occur, please refer to the warranty section for further
details.
PC system requirements
Adjust the computer resolution and screen refresh rate in the control panel of PC as described below to
obtain the best picture quality:
Resolution : 2560 x 1440 Refresh rate: 60 Hz
The HZ27WA/C monitors require a graphics card which features a Dual-Link DVI output
[DVI-D]. This term is not to be confused with graphics cards that have two DVI connectors as
it is possible that neither outputs would be Dual Link compatible. It is usual for twin DVI output
graphics cards to have one connector which is Dual Link compatible [DVI-D] and the other to be
single link [DVI]. Never use a Single Link DVI cable on a Dual-Link DVI device.
Macintosh system requirements
Please ensure that any embedded graphics controller is Dual Link compatible and it can support
resolutions up to 2560x1440. NOTE: Some resolutions e.g. 1920x1154 will not be interpolated and
cannot be mapped on Hazro monitors. Forcibly manipulating the monitor EDID values will void all
warranties.
Ergonomic Suggestions
The Hazro HZ27WA/C Widescreen LED monitors have been designed and optimised for use indoors.
The correct combination of resolution, brightness and ergonomics ensures minimal eye strain and other
symptoms associated with prolonged viewing of monitors. However, to further protect against these
symptoms, do not operate the monitor against a bright background in a dark room. For optimal viewing
comfort, the monitor should be just below eye level and 45-70 cm (18-28 inches) away from your eyes.
When using the monitor over a prolonged time period, a ten minute break every hour is recommended.
Other Suggestions
- Shoulders relaxed
- Forearms and hands in a straight line
- Forearms level or tilted up slightly
- Lower back supported
- Top of screen at or slightly below eye level
- Thighs horizontal
- Screen positioned to avoid reective glare
- Feet at on oor

Consider keeping the packaging in storage for use in the future when you may need to transport the
monitor. The tted foam packing is ideal for protecting the monitor during transport. Hazro may offer
replacement packaging for a fee [note: this service maybe withdrawn].
This User’s Guide contains detailed information on the Hazro HZ27WA & HZ27WC monitors. Please
make sure the following items are included with your monitor. If any items are missing or damaged,
contact your dealer or place of purchase.
1.1 : Product Parts
24V DC Adapter
In order to reduce the size of the packaging carton, the base on both the HZ27WA and HZ27WC models
comes detached. Please follow the instructions below for attaching the base to the monitor:
Place the monitor on its back [i.e. glass front facing up and towards you] on a clean, dry and at 1.
surface. Ideally, the surface should be lined with a clean uniform cloth [e.g. dry towel] to ensure no
damage to the plastic enclosure. Alternatively, an assistant can hold the monitor [mid-air] whilst the
base is being attached.
If possible, the end of the monitor should be placed on the edge of a table so the base attachment 2.
can be held in one hand whilst screwing. If a table is not available, the packaging box can be used
so as long as it is not worn [you may wish to line the box with a clean towel].
Using a Philips-head [cross-head] screwdriver [not supplied], screw in the base to the bottom of the 3.
monitor ensuring the screws are not overly tightened as this will damage the base. Note: the base
can only be attached in one direction.
