HH Simonsen® has designed these irresistible Rod styling irons with a number
of leading stylists specialising in updos for long hair. The design of these eight
Rods is unique and gives creativity a boost, making it fun to design different types
of curls – and textures. The ceramic teflon coating ensures that the hair does not
stick to the surface during use, even when hairspray has been sprayed on the hair.
The hair is le so and shiny thanks to the ionic effect of the tourmaline.

Divide the hair from ear to ear. Secure the rest
with clips.

Curl the hair from the nape. Place the hair over the
barrel and spin.

Create a similar parting and repeat the method all
the way up the rear portion of the hair.

Once the back part is finished, do the sides the same
manner. Make sure your styler is pointing away from
the face.

Make a parting across the top and backcomb well
at the scalp. Create a parting behind the first and
backcomb the hair in the same direction. Repeat
this to the nape area.

When you’ve finished backcombing the top section,
backcomb gently on each side.

Comb the hair gently through by letting the brush
“teeth” point 45º to the hair.

Curling Iron Tips: Creating Waves
If you want big, bouncy wave, use a curling iron with a
very wide diameter. For tighter curls, use one that has a
narrower diameter .Here’s how to choose the right curling
iron for the type of look you’re aer.
Big Waves
A curling iron that is 2 inches in diameter will create large,
loose waves in longer hair, or help smooth short hair.
TIP: Wrap large sections around iron to smooth, warp
small sections to create waves.
Slight Waves
A curling iron about o1.5 inches in diameter will create
nice, so waves.
TIP: Curl small section of hair with the curling iron, then
clip each section to head. When cool, release pins and run
fingers through hair.
Big Curls
The size used to create large curls is usually threequarters
to one inch in diameter.
TIP: Sprits small sections with mousse, then warp them
around iron and hold for five seconds. Release curling iron,
let hair cool, then use fingers to separate curls.
Tight Curls
The size used to create tight curls is usually only three-
eighths in diameter, these narrow curling irons produce a
ringlet effect.
TIP: Wrap small sections from ends to roots in a spiral.
Hold five seconds. Release curl, then let cool sprits with
hair spray, but do not touch!
Instructions For Use
1. Insert the plug into electrical outlet, ensuring that the
supply voltage matches the rated voltage stated on the
label
2. Press the OF/OFF to turn the appliance on. The default
temperature setting is 180 ˚C.
3. Press the OF/OFF to set the temperature for 120˚C,
160˚C and 200˚C as you like
4. Press the ON/OFF to turn it off aer you finish the
treatment
5. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply
6. Allow the appliance cool down completely before storing
