1 System Installation
1.1 Installation Precautions
1.1.1 Installation Requirements
Installation Precautions
● Before installing the unit, place it in a dry, rainproof, reproof, and
anticorrosive environment.
● Protect the product during delivery. Do not step on or damage vulnerable
parts such as fan guards or air lters.
● Ensure that the bottom of the unit is completely placed on the ground or the
unit is supported at six points when it is being installed.
● Do not damage the materials used for protecting the unit during
transportation before hoisting it.
● If the unit will be stored for more than three months, place it in an area with
a ceiling or protect it with a tarpaulin.
● If you need to place the unit outdoors, ensure that it is free from dirt, rain,
snow, or animal intrusion, and that the protective lm on the surface is intact.
● Do not expose the unit to strong sunlight in summer. Otherwise, the thermal
insulation panels may be deformed.
● Do not stack whole units together.
● Check the unit periodically.
Checking the Drainage Capacity
There should be drainage ditches with sucient drainage capacity.

NO TICE
● The design and installation of a condensate water trap must meet the
requirements specied in Figure 1-1.
● The layout and installation of pipes should facilitate the maintenance of the
unit.
Figure 1-1 Water trap installation
NO TE
● When the device is under negative pressure: H1 = H2 ≥ P/10 + 20 mm.
● P: absolute value of the static pressure at the water pan drain port, measured in Pa.
Checking Electrical Access for Auxiliaries
NO TICE
The modular indirect evaporative cooling system is an important air handling unit
(AHU). You need to strictly follow the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning
(HVAC) construction requirements. To ensure proper operation of the unit, protect
it against dust, dirt, corrosive gas, and high humidity. Do not use the indoor unit in
open air.
Connection Engineering Precautions
● Air duct installation: A exible connector should be installed between the unit
and air duct. The air duct should not bear the weight of the unit. Install a
support for an air duct, and ensure that the joint between an air duct and the
unit is not exposed to stress.
● Pipe thermal insulation: Take thermal insulation measures for all inlet pipes
and drainpipes of the unit. Reserve sucient space for maintenance and
operations when installing thermal insulation foam for valves and connectors.
At low temperatures, take thermal insulation measures to prevent water pipes
from freezing.
