Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Der Reflexlichttaster erfaßt berührungslos Gegenstände und Materialien und meldet
sie durch ein Schaltsignal.
Tastweite (r): siehe Typenschild (Wert bezogen auf weißes Papier 200mm x 200mm).
Sollen sehr kleine Objekte erfaßt werden, müssen sich diese im Fokus (= maximale
Tastweite) befinden.
Sichtbares Laserlicht; Laserschutzklasse 2.
Nicht in den Laserstrahl blicken!
Die beigelegten Aufkleber (Warnhinweis Laser) müssen in unmittelbarer
Nähe des Geräts angebracht werden.
Elektrischer Anschluß
Schalten Sie die Anlage spannungsfrei. Schließen Sie das Gerät an (s. Seite 13
oder Typenschild).
Belastung des Funktionskontroll-Ausgangs (fc-output): max. 10mA.
Montage
Richten Sie den Reflexlichttaster auf das zu erfassende Objekt aus und montieren Sie
ihn mit Hilfe einer Montagehalterung.
Die maximale Tastweite wird nur bei genauer Ausrichtung erreicht.
Justierhilfe:
Im Programmiermodus (s."Einstellen der Schaltschwelle") ist eine Justierhilfe inte-
griert. Nach Schritt 1 wird die Intensität des Sendelichts erhöht, so daß der Sende-
lichtfleck deutlich sichtbar ist. Nach Schritt 3 wird das Sendelicht auf normale Inten-
sität gesetzt.
Befestigen Sie das Gerät so, daß sich die Einbaulage nicht verändern kann (ver-
meiden Sie insbesondere starke Vibrationen!).
Die Geräte mit Lichtfleck-Duchmesser < 1mm sind stark fokussiert; eine Verän-
derung der Einbaulage führt zu Dejustage.

Einstellen der Schaltschwelle (dynamischer Betrieb)
• Objekte bewegen sich durch den Erfassungsbereich der Optik
Das Gerät erfaßt Eingangssignale verschiedener Intensität in beliebiger Reihenfolge
und berechnet die optimale Schaltschwelle.
Ist die Einstellung der Schaltschwelle nicht möglich (z.B. Hellsignal und
Dunkelsignal sind annähernd gleich stark) blinkt die rote LED nach Schritt 3.
Danach geht das Gerät mit unveränderter Schaltschwelle in den Betriebsmodus
über.
Wird die Programmiertaste während der Programmierung 15 Minuten lang
nicht betätigt, geht das Gerät automatisch mit unveränderter Schaltschwelle in
den Betriebsmodus über.
Einstellung maximaler Empfindlichkeit:
• Gehen Sie in den Programmiermodus (Schritt 1).
• Richten Sie das Gerät so aus, daß kein Licht reflektiert wird.
• Drücken Sie 2 mal die Einstelltaste (s. Schritte 2 und 3).

Einstellen der Schaltschwelle (statischer Betrieb)
• Statische Objekte
Das Gerät erfaßt Eingangssignale verschiedener Intensität in beliebiger Reihenfolge
und berechnet die optimale Schaltschwelle.
*Sie können auch in umgekehrter Reihenfolge vorgehen: Zuerst ohne Objekt mes-
sen, dann mit Objekt.
Ist die Einstellung der Schaltschwelle nicht möglich (z.B. Hellsignal und
Dunkelsignal sind annähernd gleich stark) blinkt die rote LED nach Schritt 3.
Danach geht das Gerät mit unveränderter Schaltschwelle in den Betriebsmodus
über.
Wird die Programmiertaste während der Programmierung 15 Minuten lang

Programmieren der Ausgangsfunktion
Betrieb
Prüfen Sie, ob das Gerät sicher funktioniert. Anzeige durch LED und durch Funk-
tionskontroll-Ausgang.
Funktionskontroll-Ausgang, gesetzt bei:
●Kurzschluß des Schaltausgangs; zurückgesetzt ca. 2s nach Beseitigung der Störung
●Störung der Objekterfassung (mangelhafte Objekterkennung, Dejustierung, Ver-
schmutzung der Linsen); zurückgesetzt, wenn Objekt wieder eindeutig erfaßt wird
●interner Störung
Wartung
Halten Sie die Kunststofflinsen des Gerätes von Verschmutzung frei.
Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung keine Lösungsmittel oder Reiniger, die die Kunststoff-
linsen beschädigen könnten.

Drücken Sie 10s lang.
Die rote LED beginnt nach 2s schnell zu

Functions and features
The diffuse reflection sensor detects objects and materials without contact and indi-
cates their presence by a switched signal.
Range (r): see type label (value referred to white paper 200mm x 200mm)
If very small objects are to be detected they must be located in the focus (= max.
range).
Laser radiation; laser protection class 2.
Do not look directly into the beam!
The enclosed labels (warning laser) must be applied in close proximity to the
unit.
Electrical connection
Isolate power, then connect unit (see page 13 or type label).
Load of the function check output (fc output): max. 10mA.
Installation
Align the photocell and fasten it to a mounting bracket.
Maximum range is only possible with precise alignment.
Adjustment aid:
In the programming mode (see"Setting the switching threshold") an adjustment aid
is integrated. After step 1 the intensity of the transmitted light is increased so that
the transmitted light spot is clearly visible. After step 3 the transmitted light is set to
normal intensity.
Mount the unit so that the mounting position cannot change (in particular
avoid high vibrations!).
The units with a light spot diameter of < 1mm are highly focussed; a change
in the mounting position will result in misalignment.

Setting the switching threshold (dynamic operation)
• Moving objects in the detection area
The unit detects input signals of various intensity in any sequence and calculates the
optimum switching threshold.
If the setting of the switching threshold is not possible (e.g. object signal and
background signal are about the same), the red LED flashes after step 3. The
unit then passes into the operating mode with the switching signal being un-
changed.
If the programming button is not activated for 15 minutes during the pro-
gramming process, the unit passes automatically into the operating mode with
the switching threshold being unchanged.
Setting of the maximum sensitivity:
• Go into the programming mode (step 1).
• Align the unit so that no light is reflected.
• Press the setting button twice (see steps 2 and 3).

• Stationary objects
The unit detects input signals of various intensity in any sequence and calculates the

*You can also proceed in reverse order: first setting without the object, then with
the object.
If the setting of the switching threshold is not possible (e.g. object signal and
background signal are about the same), the red LED flashes after step 3. The
unit then passes into the operating mode with the switching signal being un-
changed.

Programming the output function
Operation
Check the safe functioning of the diffuse reflection sensor. Display by LED’s and by
the function check output.
Function check output set in the event of:
●Short-circuit of the switching output; reset approx. 2s after elimination of the error.
●Wrong object detection (maladjustment, soiling of the lenses); reset when object
is again clearly detected.
●Internal error.
Maintenance
Keep the plastic lenses of the sensor free from soiling.
For cleaning do not use any solvents or cleaning agents which could damage the
plastic lenses.

Fonctionnement et caractéristiques
Le système réflexion directe détecte des objets et matières sans contact et indique
leur présence par un signal de commutation.
Portée (r): voir l'étiquette (valeur sur du papier blanc 200mm x 200mm).
Si de très petits objets sont à détecter, ceux-ci doivent se trouver dans le foyer
(= portée maxi).
Rayonnement laser; laser de classe 2.
Ne pas regarder dans l’axe de la source lumineuse!
Les étiquettes jointes (avertissement: laser) doivent être appliquées tout pro-
che de la cellule.
Raccordement électrique
Mettre l'installation hors tension avant le raccordement de la cellule optoélec-
tronique.
Raccordement: voir page 13 ou l'étiquette de la cellule.
Charge de la sortie diagnostique (fc output): 10mA maxi.
Montage
Orienter le système réflexion directe en direction de l'objet à détecter et le fixer avec
une équerre de fixation.
Portée optimale seulement avec orientation précise.
Aide au réglage:
Dans le mode de programmation (voir"Réglage du seuil de commutation") une aide
de réglage est intégrée. Après l’étage de réglage no. 1 l’intensité de la lumière émise
est augmentée jusqu’à ce que le spot lumière émis soit clairement visible. Après
l’étage de réglage no. 3 la lumière émise est réglée à l’intensité normale.
Monter la cellule afin que sa position de montage ne puisse pas changer (évi-
ter surtout des vibrations de forte intensité!). Les cellules avec un spot lumineux
< 1 mm sont fortement focalisées; un changement de la position de montage
peut provoquer un mauvais alignement.
