Cautionary statements
1. The radio in the iAssign Beacon has been assessed and found to be below the allowed exposure limits for placement within
a 5mm distance from the human body as defined in FCC; Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada; and
Radio Equipment Directive 2014/35/EU requirements for human exposure to electromagnetic fields.
2. This radio has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 B and C of
the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the
equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area may cause interference in which case the user will be
required to correct the interference at their expense.
The instrument complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
•This device may not cause harmful interference.
•This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Modifications made to this radio are not approved by the manufacturer and will void the user’s authority to operate the
equipment.
3. This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including
interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

4. The iAssign Beacon contains 1 radio communication module that generates radio frequency energy. The frequency and

•2402 to 2480 MHz
•4 dBm (2.5 mW) (Maximum Radiated Transmit Power)
5. Industrial Scientific recommends persons with a pacemaker or implantable cardio defibrillator (ICD) should maintain a
minimum separation distance of 15 cm (6 in) between the pacemaker or ICD and a wireless-enabled instrument. Please
consult your physician or pacemaker or ICD manufacturer for additional guidance and recommendations.
