Setting up the Ingenico 3070 Pinpad
via USB Connection
The following documentation will provide instructions for configuring Ingenico 3070 Pinpad with
CRE/RPE, using a USB connection.
Note: To use Ingenico 3070 Pinpad you must be using version 12.0 or above.
Note: The pinpad MUST have the RBA application (version 2.4.0.4) running.
Note: You MUST use the following cable to connect the 3070 via USB:

Configuring the 3070 for a USB Connection
1. Reboot the i3070 by unplugging and then re-plugging in the connector.
2. Hold down the Clear key (yellow button) while the unit reboots. You'll be presented
with the SSA System Menu.
3. Scroll down using the arrow key (CHQ or SAV/EP) and select Extended Menu. Press
Enter.
4. In the Extended menu, Scroll down to select Supervisor Menu. Press Enter.
5. Enter 2634 when prompted for Password. Press Enter.
6. In the Supervisor Menu, Scroll down to select Sys Parameters. Press Enter.
7. Select Download port. Press Enter.
8. Select Port2. Press Enter.
9. In Sys Parameters, Select Setup Port. Press Enter.
10. Select Host Port. Press Enter.
11. Select COM2. Press Enter.
12. Go back to Setup Port by pressing the Cancel key.
13. Select Port 1.
14. In Port 1, interface type select RS232, press Enter.
15. For Baud Rate select 19200 press Enter and then Cancel (Red Button).
16. For DataBits select 8and press Enter and then hit Cancel (Red Button) twice (2x).
17. Select Port 2.
18. In Port 2, interface type select RS232, press Enter.
19. For Baud Rate select 19200 press Enter and then Cancel (Red Button).
20. For DataBits select 8and press Enter and then hit Cancel (Red Button).
21. Hit Cancel Button (Red Button) until Device Reboots.

Installing the USB Driver
Note: You can download the USB cable driver for Windows XP from:
http://download2.pcamerica.com/drivers/Pinpad/Ingenico/3070_USB_XP.zip
Note: You can download the USB cable driver for Windows Vista from:
http://download2.pcamerica.com/drivers/Pinpad/Ingenico/3070_USB_Vista.zip
1. After the files have been extracted, run the
Installer.
2. Select Install.
3. Select OK.
At this point of the installation plug in the USB cable and then wait for the device to be installed.

Determining which COM port is being used by the USB cable
Even when the USB cable is used, the computer thinks the 3070 is connected to a COM port. To
find out which COM port the computer has assigned to the 3070, follow these steps.
1. Select Start.
2. Select My Computer.
3. Select View system information.
4. Select the Hardware tab.
5. Select Device Manager.
6. Expand Ports (COM & LPT).
7. Make a note of the COM port being used by the
CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM12).

Setting up CRE/RPE for the Ingenico 3070 Pinpad
In order for the Ingenico 3070 pinpad to be setup correctly, a payment processor must be setup
in the Setup Screen.
1. Open CRE/RPE.
2. Select the Manager or Options button.
3. Enter the administrator password (default: admin)
where applicable.
4. Select Setup then, Setup Screen.
1. While at the setup screen we will need to go to the Hardware tab.
2. Under PinPad Port select Other then type in 12.
3. Under PinPad Type select Ingenico3070.
4. Under PinPad Connection select USB.
5. Select Update to save your changes.
6. At this point we will need to completely exit the software.

Initialize PinPad for Use with CRE/RPE
1. We will then want to open CRE/RPE after logging
in, the screen Please slide card should be displayed
on the pinpad (pictured left).
2. At this point in the installation you should login
and perform a test transaction to verify that you
are able accept credit cards and debit cards using
the processor you selected.
