[C]SlingInstallation
Due care should be taken to assess the suitability of the anchor strop and associated
xings for the intended application. The viability of any installation should be veried by
a suitably qualied person. If the sling is to be used to anchor a fall arrest system then
the user should be equipped with a means of limiting the impact of a fall to less than
6kN should a fall occur.
1. Beware of creating a sharp angle around the anchor point as this may damage the
wire. Use an appropriate length of sling so that when the eyes meet in the connector,
the angle is less than 90°
2. Slings can be used in either a straight conguration or a basket conguration. Chok-
ing a strop around an anchor point may reduce the performance
3. It is essential for the user to consider the location of the anchor point to be used to
ensure that the chance of a fall occurring are kept to a minimum and that there is suf-
cient free space below so that in the event of a fall, there is no impact with the ground
or other obstacles. The risk of a pendulum effect should also be kept to a minimum

The whole sling should be checked by a visual and tactile in-
spection for any signs of corrosion, permanent signs of deforma-
tion or any other damage. pay special attention to;
1. Ferrules - these should be tight with no signs of movement of the
wire within the ferruleand there should be no cracks in the ferrules
2. Eyes - There should be no deformation of the eye or thimbles (where tted)
3. Wire - There should be no kinks or broken strands. If broken strands
are found, then the unit should be retired from use immediately
There is a protective sleeve tted to the sling. This is to reduce the wear on the
wire cable. The protective sleeve is not safety critical, therefore a degree of wear is
permissible . Thorough inspection by a competent person will determine if the unit is
t to remain in service. ISC recommends that the unit is labelled with either the date
of the last inspection or the date of the next inspection in line with local legislation

[C]Uchycenísmyčky
Před použitím kotvicího popruhu a souvisejícího příslušenství by mělo být důkladně
prověřeno, zda jsou tyto pro daný účel opravdu vhodné. Vhodnost uchycení by měla
být posouzena osobou s odpovídající kvalikací. Má-li být smyčka použita pro ukotvení
systému pro zábranu pádu, uživatel by měl být pro případ možného pádu vybaven pros-
tředky pro omezení rázu při dopadu na méně než 6kN.
1. Při upevňování smyčky dbejte, aby se v kotvicím bodu smyčka nikde neopírala o ostré
hrany, neboť by tím mohlo dojít k poškození drátů. Použijte smyčku vhodné délky, tedy
takovou, aby úhel svíraný konci smyčky v bodě styku ok byl menší než 90°
2. Smyčky pro EN795: B lze použít buďto v rovné konguraci, nebo v košové kongu-
raci. Utažení řemene kolem kotvicího bodu může snížit funkčnost
3. Je zásadní, aby uživatel dobře uvážil umístění kotvicího bodu, který má být využit,
aby se minimalizovala pravděpodobnost pádu a aby v případě pádu pod kotvícím bodem
byl dostatek volného prostoru a nedošlo ke střetu se zemí nebo jinými překážkami.
Rovněž je nutno minimalizovat možný kyvadlový efekt
[D]Kontrolasmyčky
Celá smyčka by měla být vizuálně a pohmatem zkontrolována, zda se na ní nevyskytují
stopy koroze, trvalých deformací či jakéhokoliv jiného poškození. Zvláštní pozornost
věnujte;
1. Kování – to by mělo být bez jakýchkoliv známek vůle drátů uvnitř kování a na kování
by se neměly vyskytovat žádné trhlinky
2. Oka – Na okách ani na očnicích (jsou-li nasazeny) by neměla být patrná žádná
deformace
3. Lano - Nepřekroucené a bez přetržených pramenů. Jsou-li zjištěny přetržené pra-

Smyčka je opatřena ochranným pláštěm. Ten brání opotřebení drátů lana. Ochranný
plášť nemá na bezpečnost zásadní vliv, tudíž lze smyčku použít i v případě, že je plášť

částečně opotřebený To, zda má být smyčka nadále využívána, či nikoliv, nechte po-
soudit kompetentní osobu. Společnost ISC doporučuje, aby byla smyčka v souladu s
místními předpisy označena štítkem buďto s datem poslední kontroly, nebo s datem
kontroly nadcházející. Maximální životnost lana je XX let. Maximální životnost textilního
výrobku je XX let.
A. Tkanina – zkontrolujte, zda se ve tkaném vzoru nevyskytují uvolněná, opotřebená
nebo znečištěná vlákna
B. Lano – Lano by mělo být bez zářezů, nalomení, přetržených pramenů, zeskelnatění,
opálení a znečištění. U lana je rovněž nutno zkontrolovat, že není nadměrně odřené
C. Štítek výrobku – Zkontrolujte, zda jsou přítomny všechny značky. Sériové číslo by
mělo být čitelné. Nejste-li si jisti, výrobek vyřaďte
D. Tkaný řemen – měl by být bez zářezů, nalomení, přetržených pramenů, zeskel-
natění, opálení a znečištění.
