3.Safety
3.1Authorizeduse
Thissanderisdesignedforsandingwoodandsimilar
materialsonly.Sandingofothermaterialsisnot
permittedandmaybecarriedoutinspecificcases
onlyafterconsultingwiththemanufacturer.
Themachineisnotsuitableforwetsanding.
Theproperusealsoincludescompliancewiththe
operatingandmaintenanceinstructionsgiveninthis
manual.
Themachinemustbeoperatedonlybypersons
familiarwithitsoperationandmaintenanceandwho
arefamiliarwithitshazards.
Therequiredminimumagemustbeobserved.
Themachinemustonlybeusedinatechnically
perfectcondition.
Whenworkingonthemachine,allsafetymechanisms
andcoversmustbemounted.
Inadditiontothesafetyrequirementscontainedin
theseoperatinginstructionsandyourcountry’s
applicableregulations,youshouldobservethe
generallyrecognizedtechnicalrulesconcerningthe

3.2Generalsafetynotes
Woodworkingmachinescanbedangerousifnotused
properly.Thereforetheappropriategeneraltechnical
rulesaswellasthefollowingnotesmustbeobserved.
Readandunderstandtheentireinstructionmanual
beforeattemptingassemblyoroperation.
Keepthisoperatinginstructionclosebythemachine,
protectedfromdirtandhumidity,andpassitovertothe
newownerifyoupartwiththetool.
Nochangestothemachinemaybemade.
Dailyinspectthefunctionandexistenceofthesafety
appliancesbeforeyoustartthemachine.
Donotattemptanyoperationinthiscase;protectthe
machinebyunpluggingthepowercord.
Beforeoperatingthemachine,removetie,rings,
watches,otherjewellery,androllupsleevesabovethe
elbows.
Removealllooseclothingandconfinelonghair.
Wearsafetyshoes;neverwearleisureshoesorsandals.

Itisrecommendedthatthesanderbeconnectedtoa

beltsanding:
1. Loosenthenut(63,Fig.8‐1)andbringthebelt
arm(G)inverticalposition.Installthesanding
table.Seta90°anglebetweenthesanding
tableandbeltarm.Lockthebeltarminplaceby
tighteningthenut(63).

severaltimesandobservebelttracking.Readjustif
necessary.

Disconnectthemachinefromthepowersource(pull
mainsplug).
Removethetableassembly.
Removethelowerdiscguard(D,Abb.6‐4).
Removetheoldsandingdisc.
Makesurethediscplateiscleanbeforeyouattach
thenewsandingdisc.
8.5Tableadjustment
Disconnectthemachinefromthepowersource(pull
mainsplug).
Useasquareonthesandingdisctoexactlyalignthe
tableto90°.
Movethemitregaugeandinspecttheparallelismof
themovementinregardstothesandingdisc.
Ifthemitreguidanceisnotparallelloosenthescrew
(78,Fig.8‐5)andadjust.

Before using your sander, review the previous
sections on initial set‐up and adjustment. Before
operating,makesureaproperdustcollectionsystem
isconnected.

fingersclosetogether.Keepmovingthe

ofthemovingsandingbeltordisc.
Whenworkingcomplexshapes,makejigsandguides
toguidetheworkpieceproperlyandsafely.
Supportlongworkpieceswithhelpingrollerstands.

Beforeinitialoperation,themachinemustbe
connectedtoadustcollector.
