GUIDELINE FOR QUICK START —
START YOUR CAR!
BEFORE STARTING YOUR CAR WITH A STARTER
• This device is provided ONLY for cars with car-system voltage equal to 12V! Do not use it for other
car-system voltages (6V, 24V etc.)
• Read the Transport Vehicle User’s Manual: manufacturer of a car can include specific warnings
and instructions regarding starting engine from starters that you should know.
• For cars fitted with automatic transmission — move the transmission control lever into “PARK-
ING” position and raise a parking brake up. For cars with manual transmission - move the lever
into neutral position and raise a parking brake up.
• To provide optimum operation of “JIC” device and secure vehicle electronics, one should switch
off all electronic equipment of a car (an air conditioner, heating, radio, lighting, charge devic-
es etc.).
• Disconnect all USB-devices and/or equipment intended for charging that is connected to “JIC”.
• Make sure that there is no humidity on the accumulator terminals of a car, on connecting wires of
“JIC” starter as well as on the device itself.

START OF CAR ENGINE FROM EXTERNAL STARTER
Make sure that the ignition key is in “OFF” position (OFF). When using
a starter for cars fitted with an intelligent start button (engine is started
with a button), prior to starting make sure that a car is completely shut
down.
Determine positive and negative accumulator terminals of a car. As usual,
positive terminal is marked with (+) symbol and/or colored in red.
1. Before connecting terminals to “JIC” device one should thoroughly
connect red clamp to positive (+) accumulator terminal and black clamp
- to its negative (-) terminal.
Make sure that clamps are in MAXIMUM contact with both accumulator
terminals. Terminal connection should be of as high quality as possible;
bad or low-quality connection will not enable starting.
2. Make sure that “JIC” device is off. Thoroughly insert connector in the
“JIC” device. Check the security of connection between terminals and
clamps as well as between connector and “JIC” device. Check state of
indicators on the connector:
a. IF RED INDICATOR LIGHTS AND AUDIO SIGNAL IS HEARD: con-
nection of connectors to terminals is confused. Read item 1
over again and perform actions described in it. DO NOT PRESS
“BOOST” BUTTON (START)!
b. IF GREEN INDICATOR LIGHTS: accumulator is quite serviceable. DO
NOT PRESS “BOOST” BUTTON (START)! Try to start the engine.
c. IF GREEN INDICATOR LIGHTS AND AUDIO SIGNAL IS HEARD:
accumulator is discharged and cannot be used. Press “BOOST”
BUTTON (START), wait when the green indicator and within
30 seconds start the engine.
d. IF NONE INDICATOR LIGHTS: low quality of electrical connection
or accumulator is heavy discharged. Check all connections. If
there is still no indication, press “BOOST” BUTTON (START).
Position “JIC” device at safe location to prevent from its falling when
engine starting.
3. Activate “JIC” device.
4. Start engine of a car.
a. If engine is not started within 3 seconds, one should move ignition
key in “OFF” position (OFF).
b. Disconnect “JIC” device from the connector. Wait for 60 seconds
and repeat steps 1-4 over again. If the problem still exists, go to
chapter “Troubleshooting” of the User’s Manual for “JIC” device to
determine other possible causes of its occurrence.
After successful start of the car engine one should immediately discon-
nect “JIC” device from a connector.
5. Disconnect clamps from accumulator terminals: at first black clamp
(-), then red clamp (+).
Now the car is ready for operation. Before shutting down the engine, let
it work not less than 15 minutes.
Do not make more than 3 attempts to start, it may cause damage to the
starting device.

INDICATORS
Starter JIC-18 is fitted with 4 indicators to determine residual power.
• Full charge lasts about 8 hours.
• Press power button to activate indicators.
• During device charging the indicators will flash one after another.
• All indicators will stop lighting if charging is suspended or stopped.

put connector of “JIC” starter and start charging!

CAR ENGINE STARTING
Step-by-step regulation describing the procedure of a car
engine starting, see in the Quick Starting Guidelines for “JIC” device.
To start a car engine you just need to have “JIC” starter. There is no longer need to wait for help -
“JIC” will save the situation!
Be careful and perform a series of precautionary measures before car engine starting;
• First of all, read the Transport Vehicle User’s Manual since the manufacturer can provide specific
actions and precautionary measures referring to your car.
• Carefully observe the instructions contained in the Quick starting Guidelines for
“JIC” device and look through User’s Manual for “JIC” device.
• Before starting engine make sure that all car electronic equipment is off (radio, lighting etc.).
• Make sure that you are in a dry and well ventilated zone. Do not start car engine in the enclosed
space.

• Remove all traces of moisture from “JIC” device, accessories as well as from the car accumulator.
BY NO MEANS start the car engine if there is humidity in these areas.
• Make sure that the car accumulator terminals are clean (to provide better electrical contact).
• Prior to clamps connecting one should correctly determine positive (+, red) and negative (-, black)
terminals of the car accumulator.
• While handling the terminals take care to ensure that metal teeth do NOT touch teeth of a red
clamp.
• When using clamps DO NOT connect RED clamp to negative (-) terminal of the car accumulator
and BLACK clamp - to positive (+) accumulator terminal.
• When connecting “JIC” device clamps to the accumulator terminals make sure that metal teeth
of each side are in good contact with a terminal. The better this contact the easier the car engine
will start.
NOTE: when fastening clamps on the terminals make sure that “JIC” device is disconnected. It will
enable to eliminate moderate sparking.
General recommendations: conformity of “JIC” device model to engine capacity
“JIC” starter can be used for the following gasoline and diesel engines:
• Model JIC-18: gasoline engines with capacity up to 7 liters, diesel engines with capacity up to
4 liter (engine capacities are just approximately specified; power requirements for each car differ).
NOTE: extremely low temperatures influence the accumulator power capacity. If for some period
of time you use our equipment in similar conditions, you should choose more powerful model of
“JIC” device.
CHARGING OF PHONE, TABLET PC AND OTHER USB-DEVICES
JIC-18 starter is fitted with two charging USB-ports located at its front side.
• Connect USB-cable to USB-port of “JIC” starter.
• Connect the second end of USB-cable to a smart
phone, tablet PC or other USB-device to be
charged. Using USB-connector adapter one can charge
up to two devices at a time.
• Activate ‘JIC” device and start charging process!
Some phones, tablet PCs etc. can be charged only by
means of an original cable.
FLASHLIGHT
“JIC” started is completed with LED- flashlight having several models of operation.
• To switch on a flashlight one should press and hold power button within 3 seconds. Following
LED-flashlight operation models are provided:
1st pressing: normal mode
2nd pressing: stroboscope mode
3rd pressing: SOS mode
4th pressing: switched off

LAPTOP CHARGING
“JIC” starter is completed with 9 connector adaptors and an adaptor to charge a range of popular
laptops, including but not limited to: Acer, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Samsung, Sony and
Toshiba.
To charge laptops “JIC” device is fitted with two
outputs (12V and 19V). To determine what voltage
is required to charge your laptop (12V or 19V),
check rated voltage of the laptop charging device
(it is specified on the reverse side of a charging
device) or find this information in the Laptop Us-
er’s Manual. As soon as you determine this volt-
age, select the most appropriate value required for
your laptop from possible output voltage values of
“JIC” device.
• Pick up a connector adaptor suitable for your lap-
top.
• Connect adaptor cable to output connector 19V or 12V.
• Activate “JIC” device and start charging process!
AFTERSALE SERVICE OF EQUIPMENT OR SPARE
PARTS FOR YOUR JIC-18 DEVICE
Should there be any questions regarding operation or use of “JIC” device
as well as regarding replacement of spare parts, first of all you should contact at the address:
jic.energy/support. Do not bring this device back to the store!
If this device requires the plant services or replacement of parts, toy should address directly to
“JIC”. This method of interaction will be the quickest one.

PRECAUTION INFORMATION
WARNING: prior to using this device read al instructions and warnings carefully. Improper use of
this device can result in its damage, overheating, toxic gas emissions, burning or explosion; “JIC”
is not responsible for the above-mentioned situations.
• This product is provided ONLY for cars with car-system voltage equal to 12V. Use of this product
for cars with other car-system voltage is dangerous for the user, device itself and a car.
• Before using “JIC” starter you should carefully read all instructions.
• Prevent from immersion of “JIC” starter under water, be caught in the rain or other moisture
influence.
• Do not open and dismantle “JIC” starter since it can result in cancellation of warranty for it.
• Protect “JIC” starter from impact of fire, powerful heating or ingress of flammable liquids.
• Device is to be charged only at temperatures within the range from 0 °C up to + 46 °C
• Keep this device away from children.
• Do not insert foreign items in ANY inputs or outputs of the device.
• Do not use this device in places where inflammable vapors, gases and dust are available.
• This device is to be used only in well-ventilated areas.
• When connecting “JIC” device take care to ensure that metal teeth of red clamp DO NOT touch
teeth of a black clamp.
• When connecting “JIC” device do not connect a black clamp to positive (+) terminal of the car
accumulator and, vice versa, do not connect red clamp to negative (-) accumulator terminal.
• Do not open “JIC” device to replace internal battery. There are no parts in the device which can
be replaced by the user himself.
• Do not keep “JIC” device at temperatures over +30 °C or lower –20 °C for a long period of time
since it can reduce battery capacity.
• Keep “JIC” device out of temperatures exceeding +60 °C since it can be dangerous for safety.
• After use of “JIC” device one should always disconnect booster cables and keep them aside.
• Do not strike, pierce or insert anything in “JIC” device since it can be dangerous for safety.
• In the event of rare occurrence of aggressive liquid leakage from “JIC” device one should stop its
operation. If this liquid contacts skin and eyes one should immediately flush it away with a stream
of running water and consult a doctor.
• When “JIC” device becomes unfit for use it should be disposed in a proper way. Lithium-polymer
battery of the device is to be disposed in the appropriate local plant.

Question: My car is not started. How can I check if it is the accumulator’s fault?
Answer: When ignition is off you should switch on the head lights and interior lighting.
• Start up the ignition. If after ignition start-up the head lights pale, then it means that accumulator
is discharged and you need a starter to start the engine.
• Start up the ignition. Switch on the wind shield wiper blades. If they move slower than usual, then
it means that accumulator is discharged and you need a starter to start the engine.
Question: How can I switch “JIC” starter off?
Answer: If “JIC” device is not used then it is switched off automatically.
Question: How many starting attempts can I perform on a single charge?
Answer: On full charge you can perform several starting attempts (up to 30 times) but exact quan-
tity of these attempts depends upon several factors:
• Engine capacity, its type and condition;
• Residual charge of the car accumulator;
• Air temperature (hard frost will reduce any battery capacity);
• Type of used JIC –18 device.
Question: How many times “JIC” device can charge a cell phone, tablet PC or other mobile device?
How much time will it take?
Answer: These parameters will be different for each mobile device since batteries of these devices
are characterized by different power and capacity. In the average, this device can charge cell phone
from 6 to 12 times. The total charging time the device approximately one hour.
Question: What is the service life of “JIC” device?
Answer: Under ideal conditions “JIC” device can be fully charged and discharged up to 1000 times.
As a rule, “JIC” device remains serviceable within several years (3-5 years); in case of not full
charge-discharge cycles its service life is reduced.
Question: How long does “JIC” device retain the charge when it is not used?
Answer: Our batteries lose not more than 2–5% of charge per month, that is why if you do not use
the device within a year, however, it will retain charge; yet to guarantee the “JIC” starter efficiency
at any moment you need it we recommend to recharge it every three months. Moreover, we recom-
mend keeping the non-used “JIC” device charged not for 100%, but for 40-60%.
