1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. General information:
Industrial PELEMAX model boilers consist of 5-6 horizontal heat
exchangers resulting in a very high heat exchanger surface area,
allowing to reach burning eciency of over 90%. PELEMAX boilers
can be used in fully automatic mode to burn pellet fuel or can be
used in semi-automatic mode with non-pellet fuel.
Before connecting the boiler to the heating system carefully read
the WHOLE instruction manual and make sure all of the boiler
components and equipment are working as intended.
PELEMAX boilers are designed for industrial use in various buildings.
The boiler belongs to the low-temperature boiler class in which the
average temperature of the heat carrier must not exceed 90°C and
the maximum operating pressure is 0,15 MPa.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make minor changes which
have no signicant eect on the quality of the combustion process
and operation of the boiler.
1.2. Standards and rules:
The boiler must be installed and operated in accordance with
the legislation requirements of the country in which it is supplied
to. The boiler must be installed in accordance with the instruction
manual otherwise the manufacturer takes no responsibility and does
not guarantee the proper operation of the boiler.

3. STRUCTURE
3.2. Boiler:
Boiler consist of 3 main zones. In top door zone there is 5-6
horizontal heat exchangers(2). The top door(3) is used to access
the heat exchanger for cleaning. Middle door(4) zone is used to load
and burn non-pellet fuel. Middle and bottom door zones are divided
by cast iron grates(6). The rotational burner(8) is xed inside the
bottom door(19) and it can be used to access ash tray(10). The
bottom door zone is where the pellet burning happens and there is
a stainless steel ame deector(7) at the back side of the chamber,
which in addition works as a catalyst. Boiler heat exchanger is made
from bent and welded heat resistant steel plates while exterior is
made from powder painted tin-plates. Beneath the tin-plates there is
an insulating glass wool layer which prevent heat loss through the
exterior. The doors also have insulating material in the middle and
are painted with heat resistant paint. The gas created through the
burning process is exhausted through the chimney(1) at the top of
the boiler. All sensors involved in controlling the burning and heating
of the building are connected to the boiler controller which is placed
on the side of the boiler. Thermal fuse (STB) is located on top of the
controller. If the boiler overheats it triggers a thermal fuse which in
turn stalls the boiler.
STB can only be reenabled by hand once the boiler is
safe to use.

3.3. Pellet container:
Pellet container is used to store and automatically feed pellets into
the rotational burner. Pellet container and feeding system can be
on either side of the boiler Fixation points change depending on
the side of the container. Pellet container can also be installed in a
dierent place however it is required to ensure that pellets drop into
the burner using gravity without getting stuck. Pellet container is
lled through the top by opening top cover. Pellets drop down to the
bottom of the container where a spiral feeds it through the exible
hose into the burner. Pellet container also has a maintenance cover
at the bottom which is used to clean dust and debris from the feeding
mechanism to ensure the consistency of feeding mechanism.
3.4. Rotational burner:
PELEMAX boilers use „KIPI” rotational pellet burners which allow
burning of medium quality pellets. This new generation rotational
burner is long-lasting with automatic ignition. Burner has a self-
cleaning functionality due to rotating combustion chamber which
prevents slag formation and helps to get rid of ash. Burner can
control primary and secondary air ratio which allows to reach high
combustion eciency. High burner build quality and ceramic spark
plug ensures consistent ignition and longer lifetime. More information
is provided in the burner manual.

3.5. Controller
Boilers are equipped with the newest generation „PLUM” controllers.
Controller is an electronic device responsible for maintaining boiler
and building functions. Controller takes information about the burning
process through various sensors such as optical ame sensor, and
temperature sensors. Controller is compact and easy to install. This
device can control central heating and hot water and up to 5 heating
circuit systems Heating system temperature can be adjusted
depending on the main temperature sensor or based on separate
temperature sensors for separate heating circuits. Controller has a
capability to turn on backup boilers. Controller can work based on
predened logic or according to „Fuzzy“ logic principals. Controller
can be equipped with an additional panel which allows remote
connection via the internet. In addition, lambda λ probe can be
connected to the controller.
User interface panel connected to the controller allows easy and
simple use and conguration.
