1. Introduction
KDCSLED-HF
KDCSLED-HF is a communication module which includes NFC module which is reading
from and writing to the RFID(NFC) tag. It confirms to various industry standard RF
protocols of NFC. When it is connected to KDC Sled model(as like KDC470), it enables
user to collect data with NFC Tag.

1.3 Installation
•Align KDCSLED-HF screw holes to screw holes on KDC SLED.(As like KDC470)
•Use 4 screws to fasten KDCSLED-HF to KDC SLED.

2. Operating your KDCSLED-HF
2.1 Configuration
NFC Power
Turning NFC Power on or off
Options: Enable/Disable
Data Format
Options: Data only/Packet data.
UID Only
Enable or Disable UID Only menu
The KDC only sends UID data to the host device when the KDC is in UID Only
mode.

2.3 How to read NFC Tags
1. Enable the NFC Power option in the NFC Config menu.
2. Touch the NFC tag to the back of the KDCSLED-HF case and make sure the tag and
case are within 5cm of each other.

3. The KDC will show the NFC tag UID and the user will hear a short beep if it has
been read successfully.
