Tools and Materials
Before you Begin
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power before
servicing.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. The amplifier is rated to
operate in temperatures up to 104°F (40°C). Do not install near heat
sources (such as radiators or heat registers) or in any location where
the temperature may exceed 104°F (40°C).
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. A network cable is provided
with this product. For all bath installations with combined user
experiences, you must use the supplied cable in place of the cable
shipped with the bath. Failure to do so may cause irreparable
damage to the amplifier.

Before you Begin (cont.)
NOTICE: This product is not water-resistant. Do not install in a
location where excessive moisture, high humidity levels, or
condensation are present.
NOTICE: Follow all electrical and building codes.
NOTICE: Provide unrestricted service access to the amplifier.
NOTICE: Provide a minimum of 6″(152 mm) of space around the
amplifier for proper air flow.
Determine amplifier and speaker locations before beginning
installation. Test the BLUETOOTH
®
range between the amplifier
and your wireless device when determining amplifier location.
Under normal conditions, the maximum range is 30’ (9.14 m).
The amplifier can be mounted in any orientation. Use the
supplied brackets or rubber feet to accommodate your mounting
configuration.
Locate the amplifier within close proximity to a 15 A 120 V
electrical outlet. Install a GFCI or RCD electrical outlet within the
stud framing and within 24″(610 mm) of the amplifier.
A qualified electrician should install an electrical outlet.
Install the electrical outlet prior to installing the amplifier.
This amplifier complies with CE, FCC, IC, and RoHS.

1. Preparation
NOTE: To play your personal music files, a wireless BLUETOOTH
device or a device with a 3.5 mm stereo cable connection is required.
Plan the location of the amplifier to allow access to the front and
back ports.
Allow adequate reach for wires between the bath and the
amplifier.
Make sure the status LED will be visible after installation.
NOTICE: The circular auxiliary-in port is not an Ethernet
communication port. Do not connect an Ethernet network to the
auxiliary-in port. Use the auxiliary-in port only for a standard
accessory.

2. Installation
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. The amplifier is rated to
operate in temperatures up to 104°F (40°C). Do not install near heat
sources (such as radiators or heat registers) or in any location where
the temperature may exceed 104°F (40°C).
NOTICE: Mount the amplifier in a dry location, and provide a
minimum of 6″(152 mm) of space for proper air flow.
NOTE: Choose the mounting location to best suit the location of the
incoming transducer wires and other cables.
NOTE: Make sure the status LED will be visible after installation.

3. Amplifier Connection
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Use the network cable
provided with the amplifier for installation with baths having more
than one user experience (whirlpool, vibracoustic, air bath, etc.). For
these installations, remove and discard the network cable assembled
to the bath, and replace it with the new network cable. Failure to
replace the network cable may cause irreparable damage to the
amplifier.
IMPORTANT! A network cable is provided with this product.
Depending upon the type of bath product being installed, use this
cable to connect the amplifier and user interface, or to connect the
bath and user interface. Refer to the bath Homeowners Guide or the
bath product page on kohler.com to determine the bath type being
installed.
NOTE: The transducer terminals and wires are numbered to
identify the correct connections. When required, the amplifier can be
removed to aid in the wire connection process.
NOTICE: The circular auxiliary-in port is not an Ethernet
communication port. Do not connect an Ethernet network to the
auxiliary-in port. Use the auxiliary-in port only for a standard
accessory.
Disconnect the power from the amplifier.
If equipped, connect the chromatherapy connector from the bath
to the chromatherapy connection on the amplifier.

Amplifier Connection (cont.)
Connect the transducer wires to the transducer terminals on the
amplifier. The white wires with black stripes are connected to the
positive (+) terminals, and the solid white wires are connected to
the negative (-) terminals.
Connect the clear connector of the user interface cable to the
amplifier user interface connection.
If used, connect the auxiliary-in cable to the auxiliary-in port on
the amplifier.
Reconnect the power to the amplifier.
Verify that the status LED turns on.

4. Operation
When using the auxiliary-in, set your music device to midrange
volume after connecting to the amplifier, but before sending an
audio signal from the device.
To listen to a BLUETOOTH source, go to the AUX screen of the
user interface. Activate by pressing the AUX icon.
A wireless BLUETOOTH source will override an auxiliary-in
source.
When listening to an auxiliary-in source, a tone will be heard
when a BLUETOOTH device is paired with the amplifier. The
tone indicates that the auxiliary-in source is no longer active.
To listen to an auxiliary-in source, the BLUETOOTH source must
be un-paired from the amplifier.
When listening to a BLUETOOTH device which is paired with the
amplifier, a tone will be heard when the BLUETOOTH device has
unpaired from the amplifier and is no longer active.
Status LED Light
Yellow blink = Amplifier error: Contact the Customer Care
Center.
Blue blink = Stand-by mode: Normal operation - No
BLUETOOTH connection.
Blue solid = Normal operation: BLUETOOTH receiver is paired
with a device.
Green blink = User interface error - For example, loose or
disconnected cable.
