(1) May I use this same TV tuner card worldwide?
This TV tuner stick supports worldwide analog TV system, which means
you can carry this TV tuner stick anywhere to watch the local Analog TV.
As for Digital TV, this tuner only supports the DVB-T system, therefore, it
will only work in countries that uses Digital DVB-T system.
(2) If I want to use Windows Vista Media Center to watch TV with the
remote control, what should I do?
Before you begin, please confirm the Windows Vista you are currently
using is Vista Home Premium and Ultimate.
i. Please install the MCE Encoder provided in the KWorld PlusTV
Installation CD (as shown below). After you have completed the
installation, please restart the computer.
ii. Please right-click on the Remote Control icon on Windows task bar, and
select Setting. (shown below)
iii. As shown below, please change the remote-control setting to Media
Center Edition. If your setting is not shown as below (HyperMedia
Center only), please download the latest driver and remote utility from
KWorld’s Support website.

(3) After plugging the TV tuner into the USB port, my computer detects
the device, but I cannot install the driver. (Doesn’t appear in Device
Manager!) What should I do?
Device Manager can be opened via the steps given in Question Number 5.
iv. Please check the hardware connection first: is it connected properly on to
your USB stick?
v. If you have connected more than 1 device to the USB port on your
computer, please remove them since they may cause power shortage
and therefore cannot properly detect setting.
This should solve the problem, and please proceed with installation using
the instructions given in the Quick Installation Guide.
(4) If my remote control cannot work or is not working properly, what
should I do?
Before you begin, please make sure you have installed the Remote Control
Utility via the Quick Installation CD provided along with the device. If not,
please do so to continue to step 1.
vi. Please right-click on the Remote Control icon on Windows task bar, and
select Setting. (shown below)
If the print screen from step 1 is different with the picture shown above,
please select Exit to close the Remote Control icon. Afterward, please
go to Windows Start Menu, Programs, KWorld Multimedia, EM_USB
Device Utilities, and Remote Control to restart the Remote Control utility.
Then, repeat step 1.

(5) How do I make sure the driver is installed correctly?
vii. Please go to Windows Start Menu, right-click on My Computer, and select
“Manage”. The Computer Management screen will be as shown below:
If the device is installed properly on your computer, in the middle panel
above, there shouldn’t be any “?” or “!” beside the『USB DVB-T Hybrid
Device』.
(6) How do I know which driver version I am currently using?
viii. Please go to Windows Start Menu, right-click on My Computer, and select
“Manage”. The Computer Management screen will be as shown below:

ix. In the left panel, please select “Device Manager”; in the middle panel,
please expand the “Sound, Video, Game Controllers”, right-click on “USB
PVR-TV Device” and select “Properties”. As shown below, you will find
the driver version under Driver, and Driver Version.
(7) What can I do to make sure my TV tuner and software was installed
correctly?
x. Please check the hardware connection first: is it connected properly on to
your USB stick?
xi. Please download the diagnostic tool AMCAP from the link below to help
to check the problem.

xii. Please close all other applications, including HyperMedia Center. After
downloading, please extract the file and launch AMCAP. (The window will
be shown as below.)

If the AMCAP window is not shown as above, rather than below, please
confirm setting in a few places.
xiii. If your USB Stick is installed correctly, you will see “USB 2883 Device”
under the Devices menu.
xiv. Please click on Options and select Preview if it hasn’t been selected
already.

xv. Please click on Options and select TV Tuner, than you will see the main
window as shown below:
If you can’t see the window as shown in the above, it means the USB
stick is malfunctioning. Or, if you can see this window but in the boxed
area, status is shown as “unlocked”, please click-on AutoTune on the left
side of the TVTuner Property Page to scan the channels. Afterward, if
the status is still shown as unlocked, it means the USB stick is
malfunctioning and hasn’t been installed properly.
xvi. Please restart the system and replug the USB stick into the same slot
again. Please repeat from Step iii, if problem persist, please proceed to
the next step.
xvii. Please unplug the USB stick, remove the driver and reboot the PC. Try
to install everything using a different USB slot.

xviii. If this still does not work, please download the GETSYSINFO tool from
the link below:

xix. After download is completed, please extract and run the program to
generate the file “systeminfo.ini” under the root folder in C Drive (as
shown below). This file tells us the exact built of your computer.
xx. Along with your personal information and product purchased, please
resolve your problem using the information you have provided and
provide you with the proper solution.
(8) When I switch over to the Digital network, why can’t I get any
channel reception? What can I do?
DVB-T is a terrestrial signal system, if it’s wave frequency has been
blocked buildings or jammed by other signals, the reception for your TV
shows will be almost none existent. Depending on the different locations
of your antenna, the reception will be different. Therefore, relocate your
antenna will help to improve your signal reception. If this situation does
not improve significantly, we would advice you to install a rooftop antenna,
instead of the bundled antenna if you want to use the product in UK (when
installing rooftop antenna, please note your antenna should point to the
direction of the transmitter.) Another option is to purchase an indoor
signal amplifier to improve reception quality.

(9) I would receive an Error Message “Cannot set capture device (1000)”
whenever I execute HyperMedia Center. What should I do?
xxi. Please check the hardware connection first: is it connected properly on to
your USB stick? (Please make sure you are using the same USB slot that
you had used during installation.)
xxii. Please make sure you have updated the drivers for your Graphic Card,
Sound Card, and the TV tuner.
xxiii. If you have already completed the first 2 steps, you please try to reinstall
the software application HyperMedia Center. Before doing so, please
make sure you have completely uninstalled the program and restarted the
computer.
(10) When I execute HyperMedia Center, I would receive an Error
Message “Cannot render MPEG2 Demix filter…” What should I do?
xxiv. Please check if the mother board on your computer supports USB 2.0.
(This device only supports USB 2.0.) softwares. Please go to
Windows Start Menu, right-click on My Computer, and select “Manage”.
