THE. NEW. STANDARD.
Bass is part of the Laney DNA. Founded in 1967 by Lyndon Laney – a bass player - the
business was born with a bass in its hand.
The DIGBETH bass range is a celebration of this fact. Designed with a vintage aesthetic,
harking back to the looks and sounds of the 60’s & 70’s, the DIGBETH takes vintage tone
and looks, and combines it with ultra-modern functionality and British design and
engineering.
Created for the bass player seeking a range of FET & TUBE tones not previously available
in a compact, powerful and portable bass amp.

1 - FET VOLUME – Controls the level of the FET Channel. This channel offers a clean, fast
response which is articulate & punchy in the low end
2 - FET/TUBE SWITCH – Changes the selected channel between FET & TUBE.
3 - TUBE DRIVE – Sets the amount of pre-gain to the TUBE channel. At low settings the
TUBE channel will have subtle amount of overdrive adding a characteristic warm sound.
At higher settings the preamp into the TUBE channel is pushed harder, giving you more
growl and distortion.
4 - TUBE VOLUME – Controls the post-gain level of the TUBE channel. Use it in
conjunction with the TUBE drive control to get the perfect overdrive tone at the right
volume. The TUBE Volume control can also be pulled to allow MIX both the TUBE &
FET channel. This allows blending if the sonic benets of both channels. Great for a
clean tone with a small bit of grit or a distorted tone with super punchy bass!
5 - BASS – Increasing this control adds move low frequencies to the sound, great for
increasing the sub. Decreasing this control cuts back low frequencies, useful to help
reign in low end feedback or clean up a muddy sound. Set to 5 this control is by
passed and doesn’t affect sound.

6 - MID MODE - A 4-position rotary switch – each position applies one of four
different pre-shaped EQ sounds. The position selected works in conjunction with the
MIDS PRESHAPE LEVEL (7) control.
Position 1 -> A narrow lower mid cut which is great for giving more denition to your
bass when playing with a drummer. Pull it back to give space to the kick & snare, bring
it up to push your bass in front of the drums.
Position 2 -> A wider mid-range control is great for bringing out the growl of you bass,
very useful to give more bite to your distorted tones, or for cutting back and increasing
mid-range clarity.
Position 3 -> A narrow mid-range setting, like in position 2, though more rened and
less aggressive, good for scooping out your bass for a slap tone or increasing denition
when playing distorted guitars.
Position 4 -> A upper mid setting, great to honing in on the pop of a bass or to cut
back on fret noise.
7 - MID LEVEL – This control works in conjunction with the MID MODE control.
Increasing the control boosts the set MID band, decreasing the control cuts the set MID
band. Set to 5 this bypasses the mid control irrespective of the MID MODE setting.
8 - TREBLE - Boost the higher frequenciesgiving more top end clarity to the sound.
Decrease the control to remove higher frequencies, good for a subby mellow sound.

9 - TILT - Works like an overall balance control of the tone. Turning toward the TREBLE
clef will decrease lower frequencies and boost higher frequencies. Turning towards
the BASS clef does the opposite. This control is perfect for ne tuning your overall
tone and making sure your tone works in any situation.
10 - STANDYBY SWITCH – Works in conjunction with the power switch and switches the
amp out of stand-by (MUTE) and into active mode (RUN). In stand-by (MUTE) mode
the LED pulses to give you a visual reference that the amp is in stand-by (MUTE)
mode.
