1 General
This operating manual explains how to install and operate the Command
Touch operating unit (order no. LRT 923).
The Command Touch operating unit ensures user-friendly operation of your
LAUDA constant temperature equipment. All operating functions can be
accessed easily by tapping, dragging or swiping the high-resolution multi-
touch screen with your finger.
The touch display is connected to the constant temperature equipment via a
LiBus cable. Remote operation is also possible: for example, you can connect
the operating unit directly to the control station PC (maximum permitted
cable length: 50 m). The magnets integrated into the back of the casing
prevent the operating unit from slipping when placed on a ferromagnetic
surface, thus facilitating use of the touch display.
This operating manual presents the basic operating concept of the
Command Touch operating unit and provides examples of some
of the most popular operating functions. Detailed information on
how to handle your constant temperature equipment and a descrip-
tion of the functions specific to your device can be found in the
operating manual for your constant temperature equipment. This
includes, in particular, process technology and safety- and liability-
related information.
1.1 Intended use
The Command Touch operating unit is an accessory which extends the oper-
ating possibilities of the LAUDA constant temperature equipment. After

The operating unit may only be operated with constant temperature equip-
ment that supports the functions provided. A list of compatible product lines
can be found in the “Compatibility” section in this operating manual.
The operating unit should only be operated as intended and under the condi-
tions specified in this operating manual. The instructions in the connected
constant temperature equipment’s operating manual apply to every inter-
action. This is particularly true of the safety instructions contained in the
manual.
