Intended use
Thedevicesareintendedto
assistchildrenthatcannotstand
ormaintainastandingposition
independentlyaspartofasupported
weightbearingprogram.
Indications for use
Pronestanderhasbeendesignedfor
useathomeorschool.Therange
ofproneanglesavailableallowthe
gradualincreasesofweightbearing
astoleranceincreases.Pronestander
isintendedforchildrenfromtheages
1-17years.Suitablefor:
• Childrenwithdisabilitiessuchas
CerebralPalsy,traumaticbrain
injuries,musculardystrophyand
otherconditionswheresupported
standingprogramsareencouraged.
• Childrenpresentingwith
developmentaldelaywhoare
currentlynon-ambulating.
• Childrenwhereearlyinterventionis
indicated.

WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
1) WARNING TOPPLING HAZARD
•Neverusetheproductonasloping
surfacegreaterthan5degrees.
•Alwayscheckoperationoflineardrives,
gasstruts,andmotordrivesbeforeuse.
•Whenadjustingthestanderangle
ensurethereisadequateaccessspace
onallsidesoftheproduct.
•Alwayslockcastersfacingoutwards
beforeplacingtheuserintheproduct.
2) WARNING FINGER TRAP HAZARD
•Ensurethattheuserorcarerdoes
nottouchanymovingjointorpivot
thatisnotlocked.
•Whiletheuserisintheproduct,the
carershouldstrivetokeepproduct
adjustmentstoaminimum.
3) WARNING OCCUPANT SECURITY
•Usertransfersinandoutof
theproductmustbedonewith
appropriateequipmentand
personnel.
•Whentransferringtheuserintothe
product,rstusethepelvicbandto
securetheuser.
•Ensurethatallharnesses,sandal
strapsandchestpadaresecurely
applied.
•Iftheuserexhibitsanyformof
distress,removefromtheproductas
quicklyasissafelypossible.
4) CAUTION FINGER PINCH HAZARD
•Whiletheuserisintheproduct,the
carershouldstrivetokeepproduct
adjustmentstoaminimum.
•Takecarewhenassemblingor
adjustingthepositionofthestander
componentsthatyourngersdo
notgetpinchedwhenpositioning
standercomponentsandtightening
mountings.
•Duringproductassemblyand
adjustment,thecarershouldavoid
ngerpinchingriskoftheproduct’s
jointsorpivots.
•Duringtransfersandadjustments,
thecarershouldavoidthenger
pinchingriskofover-centrebuckles
andlatches.
5) CAUTION DAILY CHECKS
•Thestanderistobechecked
dailybeforeusetoensurethatall
harnessesandstandercomponents
aresecurelyattached.
•Alwayscheckoperationoflinear
drives,gasstruts,andmotordrives
beforeuse.
6) CAUTION TRIP HAZARD WITH
POWERED CHASSIS
•Beforemovingapoweredstander
ensurethatbatterycharging
connectionisremoved.
7) CAUTION CLEANING
•Cleanthestanderregularlyto
preventthebuild-upofdirt.

beboxedandpackedat.Thetray
willbeinaseparateparcel.The
Pronestanderwillcomeasstandard
withchestplateincludingexible
laterals,kneeplate,pelvicplate
includingbelt,hingedfootplate,
sandalsandactivitytrayincluding
bowl.
Assembling the Pronestander
ToassemblethePronestander,
twopeopleshouldrstlyliftthe
Pronestanderoutofitsboxor
alternativelyremovethepackaging
andwheelthePronestanderouton
itscastors.Thecastorsshouldthen
belockedintoposition,facingoutof
theframeat45degrees.
9.1 SETTING THE
ANGLE
InordertoxthePronestanderat
thedesiredangle,youshouldrstly
holdthechestplateandgently
swingthemainframeofthestander
upright.Thenloosenthethreebolts
asshownandtheangleadjuster
bar canthenbepositionedto
thedesiredangle.Theplateshould
thenbeplacedbackintopositionand
thethreebolts re-attachedand
tightenedsecurely.
Neverattempttoadjustthe
angleofthePronestander
whentheframeisinuse.
