What is MoCA®
In short, MoCA® is connecting internet devices via the (existing) coax net-
work.
MoCA® adapters ensure that the (existing) coax cable is suitable for watching
TV and at the same time an Ethernet connection is made between your cable
modem and your network equipment. This is possible because separate fre-
quencies are used for the TV and the internet, so that no mutual interference
occurs.
What do you need for the MoCA® connection
For a network with MoCA® adapters you need at least 2 MoCA® adapters.
The 1st MoCA® adapter is connected to your cable modem. The 2nd MoCA®
adapter is connected to your Media box via the coax network.
Here we describe how to connect 2 MoCA® adapters in a coax network and
how to test the connection.
Mouting your 1st MoCA® adapter (to your cable modem)
• Connect a coaxial connection cable between the output of the splitter
mounted on the Isolator and the “IN OUT” connector of the MoCA® adapt-
er.
• Connect one of the available LAN ports of your cable modem to the LAN1
or LAN2 port of the 1st MoCA® adapter with a network cable.
For Subscribers connected to a Coax network

• Find and label the coaxial cable that will connect (with or without passive
products) to the connector on your 2nd MoCA® adapter. Mount that coax-
ial cable to the “MOCA” connector of your 1st MoCA® adapter.
• Connect your 1st MoCA® adapter to the power adapter and press the
“ON/OFF” button. After a few seconds, the PWR LED on the MoCA®
adapter will illuminate.
Mounting your 2nd MoCA® adapter
• Connect your 2nd MoCA® adapter to your 1st MoCA® adapter by mount-
ing the coaxial cable coming from your 1st MoCA® adapter to the “MOCA”
connector of your 2nd MoCA® adapter.

• Connect a Fmale-IECmale coaxial connection cable to the coaxial input
connector of your media box or television and the “IN-OUT” connector of
your 2nd MoCA® adapter (if necessary use the supplied coaxial cable and
the Ffemale/IECmale adapter).
• Connect one or two of your internet devices (for example a WiFi access
point, Sonos speaker, Apple TV, Ikea bridge, etc.) to LAN1 or/and LAN2.
You can use both LAN ports simultaneously.
• Only for subscribers with a media box that require both a coax and
Ethernet signal: connect a network cable (UTP) to the LAN1 or LAN2 and
connect it to the network input of your media box.
• Connect your MoCA® adapter to the power adapter and press the “ON/
OFF” button. After a few seconds, the PWR LED on your MoCA® adapter
will light up.

As soon as data is sent LAN1 LED or LAN2 LED ashes irregularly.
Mounting MoCA® adapter(s) in combination with a TV amplier.
• The diagram above gives an example of an indoor installation with a TV
amplier. MoCA® communication is only possible via the amplier outputs.
So all MoCA® adapters are connected behind the amplier of the coax
network.
The way of connecting the MoCA® adapters as described earlier does not
change.
Test your connection
The MoCA® adapters are already paired. To check whether they also send
and receive data, you can perform the following test.
• Connect one of the MoCA® adapters via its LAN1 or LAN2 to a LAN port
of your cable modem
• Connect a laptop to LAN1 or LAN2 from your other MoCA® adapter.
• Do a speed test and compare the result with the speed of your internet
subscription
