MachMotion X15-250 Manuale utente

The primary way t o power the control is with t he key.
Figure 1 – Keys
Place one key int o t he keyhole at t he back right hand side of the cont rol as pict ured below. Turn on the cont rol by
rotat ing the key and then quickly releasing it .

Figure 2 – PC Start
There is also a small black backup power on button near t he power plug behind the back panel of the cont rol. See Figure
15 - Cont rol Port Diagram.
2.1 Operator Panel (X15-10-01)
On the right hand side of your control there is the operat or panel wit h jog buttons, select or knobs, and a few but tons
(See Figure 3).
Figure 3 – Operator Panel
The jog buttons can be used to move the axes manually. Use the Axis Select or to choose which axis to jog. If the Axis
Select or is in the off posit ion, the jog buttons are disabled (See Figure 4).
Figure 4 – Jog But tons and Axis Select or
Note: If the jog buttons do not work, make sure that the Axis Selector on the optional pendant is turned off.
To change t he jogging speed or the jog increment s adjust t he Jog Selector. The selections labeled St ep Jog cont rol
which predefined step or increment the system moves each time a jog key is pressed. The syst em can jog 1 through
10,000 10,000t hs of a unit by selecting X1 through X10,000. See Figure 5 below.
2 Control Components

Figure 5 – Jog Select or
To jog cont inuously rather than increment ally, turn the Jog Selector over into the Co ntinuous Jog section. The machine
can jog at the full jog rate (100%) or slow it down t o 2%.
The Feedrate Select or can adjust t he feed rat e override from 0% all t he way to 130%. It can be used to slow t he
machine while running a program. Also, in st ep jog mode the speed of the axis is regulat ed by the feed rat e Select or.
Figure 6 - Feedrate Selector
The green button is a cycle start but t on which st art s a file and t he small red but t on is a feed hold which pauses the file.
Figure 7 - Cycle Start and Feed Hold Buttons
The red E-Stop button stops the whole syst em and prevent s any movement.
2.2 Pendant (X15-20-01, Optional)
The pendant is mounted on the right side of the cont rol near the operat or panel. See Figure 8 below.
Figure 8 - Pendent
To use the pendant switch the Axis Select or (3) to the desired axis. The pendant will not work if the Axis Select or is in

the OFF position. While holding down t he enable button (see Figure 9, 1), rot at e the hand wheel (2, also called the MPG)
and t he selected axis will move. Change axes by swit ching the Axis Select or to a different axis. The speed can be
adjust ed using the Jog Select or (4).
Figure 9 - Axis Select or
The Jog Select or on the pendant switches between eit her 0.0001 or 0.001 unit increment s. Each click of the MPG will
move the select ed increment . However, if the Jog Select or is on V t hen t he MPG is in velocity mode. In velocity mode
the axis moves as long as the MPG is t urning and t he speed of the axis is regulat ed by the speed of the hand wheel. In
other words, t urning the hand wheel very fast will make the axis move very quickly.
Figure 10 - Jog Select or
When the pendant is not in use, make sure to turn the Axis Select or to OFF. Otherwise the operat or panel jog
functionalit y will be disabled.
2.3 Mouse
Below t he operat or panel is a ball mouse. Use this for navigating around on the cont rol.
Figure 11 - Mouse
2.4 Keyboard
The keyboard is located at the bottom of the control in a flip-out t ray. For security and safet y reasons there is a lock
hole in t he back left hand side of the keyboard tray to prevent the tray from opening. The lock is not supplied with the
cont rol.
Figure 12 - Keyboard
2.5 External USB Port
On the right side of the keyboard there is a USB port. Use this for transferring programs, files, or any ot her dat a to and

from the cont rol.
Figure 13 - USB Port
Below is a diagram of all the different ports on the cont rol with a brief descript ion of each.

1. Po wer Board
Three power supplies (24VDC, 12VDC, & 5VDC) for low power applications.
2. Po wer Cable
110VAC-220VAC power for the cont rol.
3. PC Start
To remotely start t he control connect t hese two pins together wit h a moment ary push button swit ch.
4. PS2 Port with USB Converter
This is used for the mouse.
5. Parallel Ports (Optional)
These are used to communicate with some breakout boards
6. Ethernet Po rts
These ports are used to connect t o local Et hernet net works and motion cont rollers.
7. Serial Po rt
This can be used for any application. Many of our systems use it t o communicate wit h a PLC.
8. VGA Monitor Connector
This is used to connect t he control to a monitor wit h a st andard VGA cable.
9. Audio
These are the standard audio input s and out put s.
10. USB Po rts
These ports are used for the keyboard, mouse, operator panel, file transfer, and more.
11. Fan Connecto rs
These connect ors supply 12VDC for two small fans.
12. USB 3.0 Po rts
These ports can be used like all t he other USB port s. They are higher performance and have a much higher dat a
transfer speed.
