Für die Lokalbahnstrecken in Bayern beschaffte
die Königlich Bayerische Staatsbahn (K.Bay.Sts.B.)
ab 1908 kleine, zweiachsige Tenderlokomotiven
der Gattung PtL 2/2, nachdem bereits 1905 und
1906 von Krauss die ersten Probeloks geliefert
worden waren. Die Maschinen waren für den Ein-
mannbetrieb mit halbselbsttätiger Schüttfeuerung
ausgerüstet.
1911 lieferte Krauss 13 Stück der knapp sieben
Meter langen Lokomotiven in einer zweiten Serie
ohne Blindwelle. Bei einem Gewicht von 22,1 t
leisteten sie 210 PS und waren 50 km/h schnell.
Die Deutsche Reichsbahn (DRG) reihte sie als
BR 983 in den Fahrzeugbestand ein.
Die letzten Loks kamen noch zur Deutschen
Bundesbahn (DB), wo sie Anfang der sechziger
Jahre ausgemustert wurden.
In 1908, the Royal Bavarian State Railway (K.Bay.
Sts.B.) started purchasing small, two-axle tank
locomotives, type PtL 2/2, for the branch lines
in Bavaria, after the first test units had been
delivered in 1905 and 1906 by Krauss. These lo-
comotives were equipped with semi-independent,
self-feeding fire-boxes for one-man operation.
In 1911 Krauss delivered 13 of these nearly seven
meter (23 feet) long locomotives in a second
mass production model without jack-shafts. With
a weight of approximately 22.1 tons, it produced
210 horsepower and had a maximum speed of 50
km/h (31.25 m.p.h.). The German State Railroad
(DRG) classified it as the 983. The last of these
locomotives were also acquired by the German
Federal Railroad (DB), where they were retired
from service at the start of the 1960’s.

A partir de ans1908, les chemins de fer royaux
bavarois (K.Bay.Sts.B.) ont doté les réseaux régi-
onaux de Bavière de locomotives à tender à deux
axes du modèle PtL 2/2, après que Krauss avaient
fourni les premières locomotives d’essai. Les
machines avaient été conçues pour être exploitées
par un seul homme et étaient
équipées d’un foyer d’alimentation semi-auto-
matique.
De 1911, Krauss a livré 13 exemplaires de cette
locomotive qui, en deuxième série, mesurait ne
pas plus de sept mètres de long et n‘était équipée
d’un arbre de second renvoi. Avec un polds de
22,1 Mp, la locomotive fournissait 210 PS et
atteignait une vitesse de pointe de 50 kilomètres
par heure. Les chemins de fer du Reich (DRG)
ont classé ce type de locomotive dan le parc des
locomotives sous la désignation BR 983; les tou-
tes dernières locomotives de ce type ont encore
été exploitées sur les chemins de fer fédéraux
(DB). Elles ont été réformées au début des années
soixante.

dienst gesteld werden.

Die bei normalem Betrieb anfallenden Wartungs-
arbeiten sind nachfolgend beschrieben. Für
Reparaturen oder Ersatzteile wenden Sie sich bitte
an Ihren Märklin-Fachhändler.
Prinzipbedingt ist die Zugkraft dieses Modells ein-
geschränkt. Die maximal befahrbare Steigung mit
2 bis 3 zweiachsigen Güterwagen liegt bei ca. 3%.
Jegliche Garantie-, Gewährleistungs- und Schadensersatzan-
sprüche sind ausgeschlossen, wenn in Märklin-Produkten nicht
von Märklin freigegebene Fremdteile eingebaut werden und /
oder Märklin-Produkte umgebaut werden und die eingebauten
Fremdteile bzw. der Umbau für sodann aufgetretene Mängel und
/ oder Schäden ursächlich war. Die Darlegungs- und Beweislast
dafür, dass der Einbau von Fremdteilen oder der Umbau in bzw.
von Märklin-Produkten für aufgetretene Mängel und / oder Schäden
nicht ursächlich war, trägt die für den Ein- und / oder Umbau ver-
antwortliche Person und / oder Firma bzw. der Kunde.
Sicherheitshinweise
• Die Lok darf nur mit einem dafür bestimmten
Betriebssystem (Märklin Wechselstrom-Transfor-
mator 6647, Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital oder
Märklin Systems) eingesetzt werden.
• Die Lok darf nur aus einer Leistungsquelle
gleichzeitig versorgt werden.
• Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise
in der Gebrauchsanleitung zu Ihrem Betriebs-
system.

In principle the pulling power for this model is
limited. The maximum grade it can negotiate with
2 to 3 twoaxle freight cars is about 3%.

been converted in such a way that the non-Märklin parts or the

locomotive peut grimper avec 2 à 3 wagons à

wanneer in Märklin-producten niet door Märklin vrijgegeven vreem-
de onderdelen ingebouwd en / of Märklin-producten omgebouwd
worden en de ingebouwde vreemde onderdelen resp. de ombouw
oorzaak van nadien opgetreden defecten en / of schade was. De
aantoonplicht en de bewijslijst daaromtrent, dat de inbouw van
vreemde onderdelen in Märklin-producten of de ombouw van
Märklin-producten niet de oorzaak van opgetreden defecten en /
of schade is geweest, berust bij de voor de inbouw en/of ombouw
verantwoordelijke persoon en / of firma danwel bij de klant.
Veiligheidsvoorschriften
• De loc mag alleen met een daarvoor bestemd
bedrjfssysteem (Märklin wisselstroom transfor-
mator 6647, Märklin Delta, Märklin digitaal of
Märklin Systems) gebruikt worden.
• De loc mag niet vanuit meer dan één stroom-
voorziening gelijktijdig gevoed worden.
• Lees ook aandachtig de veiligheidsvoorschriften
in de gebruiksaanwijzing van uw

teem.
