2) SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the “Digital balance scale” (hereinafter referred to as ‘device’, the following
basic precautions must always be taken:
Important general information
• Read the instructions for use carefully and keep them safe. If you give this device to other
people, please also pass on this manual.
• Only use this device in accordance with the instructions in this user manual.
• The guarantee will expire immediately if damage has been caused by failing to comply
with this user manual. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by non-
compliance with the user manual, negligent use or use which does not comply with
conditions in this user manual.
• This device is intended for domestic or similar use, not for professional use.
• WARNING! Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may
become dangerous playing material for children. Risk of suffocation!

General safety information and instructions
• Only use the device for its intended use.
• Improper use of the device could damage the product.
• WARNING: The glass platform may be slippery when wet.
• WARNING: People with a pacemaker should not use the device.
• Do not jump or stomp on the device.
• Handle carefully when moving preventing breaking of the glass plate.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Keep children under strict supervision to prevent them from using the device as a toy.
• Do not allow unsupervised children to clean or maintain this device.
• Never allow children to use domestic appliances as toys or without supervision. Children
are unable to judge the hazards associated with incorrectly using electric appliances.
• Prior to use, check the device for visible external damage. Never operate the device if it is
damaged.
• Do not place the device under any mechanical stress.
• Please handle the device carefully. Jolts, impacts or falls, even from a low height, can
damage the device.
• Do not use or store the device in an environment subject to strong static electricity or
magnetic elds.
• Do not use the device in the vicinity of ammable materials.
• Do not use the device in the immediate vicinity of heat sources like naked ames (such as
hobs).
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight, heat sources, excessive humidity or corrosive
environments.
• Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid, to avoid the risk of electric shocks.
Do not touch the device if it has fallen into water, and do not use it again.
• The device must be serviced if it has been damaged in any way, i.e.: objects have fallen
into it; it has been exposed to rain or moisture; it has been dropped or does not operate
properly.
• The guarantee will expire immediately if the device is damaged as a result of not
observing this user manual. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by
non-compliance with the user manual, negligent use or use which does not comply with the
conditions of this user manual.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the device.
• Do not use foreign objects to clean the device.
• Do not use the device if there are visible signs of damage.
• Do not use the device if it has been dropped or does not operate normally.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device or modify it in any manner.
• The device does not contain any parts which can be serviced by the user.
• Only allow repairs to be carried out by a qualied service centre. Qualied service centre:
after-sales department of the manufacturer or store, which is recognised and authorised
to carry out such repairs, so that potential hazards can be prevented. If problems are
encountered with the device, please return it to this department.
• WARNING! Damaging the casing and/or piercing the device, can lead to explosion
or re!
• WARNING! Do not throw the device into a re because it may explode!

Batteries, electricity & heat
• Make sure the battery compartment is closed securely.
• Only use AAA Alkaline batteries
• Only use a set of 2 of the same brand of AAA Alkaline batteries and do not mix.
• Do not mix Alkaline, standard batteries (carbon zinc) or rechargeable batteries (nickel
hydride)
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Correctly insert (polarity) batteries into the battery compartment.
• Replace the full set of 2 AAA Alkaline batteries at any one time.
• To prevent battery leakage, remove batteries from the appliance if it is not used for a long
period of time.
• Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If the liquid gets on the
skin, wash it immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, ush them
immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Non-rechargeable AAA batteries should not be recharged.
• Rechargeable AAA batteries can be used in this device. Rechargeable batteries must be
removed from the appliance before being charged.
• Only charge rechargeable batteries with the charger that comes with these batteries and
follow the instructions in the manufacturer’s manual.
• Rechargeable batteries should only be recharged under adult supervision.
• Do not short circuit the contacts inside the battery compartment or any batteries.
• Never damage rechargeable batteries. Damaging the casing of the device and/or piercing
rechargeable batteries might lead to explosion or re!
• Flat AAA Alkaline batteries must be removed and disposed of in a safe and environment-
friendly manner.
• Do not crush, puncture or dismantle the device; this might damage the batteries.
• Do not throw batteries into a re because they may explode!
• Do not expose the device and batteries to excessive heat sources like re or direct
sunlight.
• Do not dispose of batteries in your household waste. To dispose of the batteries, take
them to your local recycling station. Contact your local government ofces for details.
3) USING THE DEVICE
Before use
Open the packaging carefully before taking out the device. Make sure the device is
complete and undamaged. If any components are missing or damaged, contact the vendor
and do not use the product. Retain the packaging or recycle it in accordance with local
regulations.
Batteries
The device operates by 2 pcs of AAA batteries.
Open the battery compartment by removing its cover F
Correctly insert 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment, respecting the polarity
marked in the compartment.
Place the battery cover back on the compartment.
If the battery level is low, the LCD display Awill indicate “LO”.
Replace the batteries as described above.

Operation
• Place the device on a hard at and stable and non-slippery surface.
• Warning! The device glass plate may be slippery when wet. Make sure the
glass plate is dry before use.
• Warning! Make sure your feet are dry and non-slippery before stepping on the
device.
• To ensure accurate operation, it is advised to take measurements daily at a xed time in
the morning or evening (i.e. 07h00 – 09h00 / 19h00 – 21h00).
• Warning! People with a pacemaker should not use the device.
• People with metal implants will be unable to obtain an accurate measurement.
Weight only
The device has an auto ON/OFF function & overload protection.
Make sure the platform and your feet are dry and non-slippery before stepping on the
device.

Step on the device evenly near the center and keep your body still and erect until the
device stabiles your weight.
When the weight has been correctly measured, the weight will appear on the LCD display
A , ash 3 times indicating correct measuring.
Or you can press the “SET” button Eon the device and wait until once the LCD display A
shows “0.0” indicating it is ready for use.
When the LCD display Ashows “Err”, it is indicating the device is in overload protection.
The device will automatically switch off after ± 10 seconds.
Weight – body fat – hydration – muscle bone & kcal percentage
The device is equipped with a BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) technology, to
measure body fat, hydration, muscle and bone percentage, by sending a (safe) low tension
current through the body. The difference of electrical conductive property of body fat from
other tissues is analyzed and processed and results are displayed on the LCD screen.
Setting your personal data
Press the SET key Eto set your personal data.
With the ▲ C or ▼ Dbutton you can select the desired number or selection.
Program number
The device can store maximum 10 personal programs.
Press the SET key E
On the LCD screen A “P0” will ash. Press ▲ C or ▼ Dthe select the desired program
number (P0 – P9) to store your personal data. Once the desired program number appear,
press SET E to conrm.
Gender
When the LCD screen A ashes or press ▲ C or ▼ Dto select the gender. Once
the correct gender has been selected, press SET E to conrm.
Age
When the LCD screen A shows “00” and “age” are blinking, press ▲ C or ▼ Dthe set
the age (18 - 100). Once the desired program number appears, press SET E to conrm.
Length
When the LCD screen A shows “100” and “cm” are blinking, press ▲ C or ▼ Dthe set
the length (100 – 220 cm). Once the desired program number appears, press SET Eto
conrm.
Just select your program code when you use the device again and your information will be
displayed, so there is no need to set them again.

Record your personal data
• Press the “SET” button Eon the device.
• The LCD screen A “Px” will ash. (Last selected program number will appear)
• Press ▲ C or ▼ Dto select your personal program (P0 – P9) with your stored personal
data.
• Wait till the selected program number stops ashing.
• Step on the device and keep your bare feet in touch with the electrodes B.
• Stand still and erect, to get your weight measured and displayed.
• Stay standing still as now your body fat, hydration, muscle and bone percentages are
measured
• The progress of these are indicated as below.
• Once all the blocks have disappeared, measurement has been completed.
• When measuring is nished, the results will be repeated two times and then it will
automatically switch off.
DO NOT touch the buttons of the device with your feet while weighing, the device will not
work.
Body fat – hydration – muscle rates measured are for reference.
Consult a doctor when you undertake a diet or exercise program.

The energy needed to maintain basic living activities such as breathing, control body
temperature etc., take up to 75% of the daily energy consumption.
If the metabolism is higher, increase of weight is not likely.

Cleaning
The device can be cleaned with a damp cloth. In case of stain marks, glass cleaner can be
used.

Do not use any soaps, chemicals, solvents, petrol, or similar products.
Do not use very hot or cold water on the glass plate.
Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning materials or sharp objects like hard brushes or
knives.
Keep the device away from water, heat and extreme coldness.
