9.Becarefulnottodroporstrikebattery

1.Beforeusingbatterycartridge,readallinstructionsandcautionarymarkingson(1)batterycharger,(2)battery,

and(3)productsusingbattery.

2.CAUTION:Toreduceriskofinjury,chargeonlythelithium-ionbatterywiththiskit.Othertypesofbatteriesmay

burst,causingpersonalinjuryanddamage.

3.Non-rechargeablebatteriescannotbechargedwiththisbatterycharger.

4.Useapowersourcewiththevoltagespeciﬁedonthenameplateofthecharger.

5.Donotchargethebatterycartridgeinpresenceofﬂammableliquidsorgases.

6.Donotexposechargertorainorsnow.

7.Nevercarrychargerbycordofyankittodisconnectfromreceptacle.

8.Afterchargingorbeforeattemptinganymaintenanceorcleaning,unplugthechargerfromthepowersource.

functiononthetool.

.Alwaysswitchoﬀthetoolbeforeinsertionorremovalofthebatterycartridge.

.Toremovethebatterycartridge,withdrawitfromthetoolwhilepressingthebuttonsonbothsidesofthecartridge.

.Toinsertthebatterycartridge,alignthetongueonthebatterycartridgewiththegrooveinthehousingandslip

itintoplace.Alwaysinsertitallthewayuntilitlocksinplacewithalittleclick.Ifnot,itmayaccidentallyfalloutof

thetool,causinginjurytoyouorsomeonearoundyou.

.Donotuseforcewheninsertingthebatterycartridge.Ifthecartridgedoesnotslideineasily,itisbeinginserted

correctly.

      

.Beforeinsertingthebatterycartridgeintothetool,alwayschecktoseethattheswitchtriggeractuates

properlyandreturnstothe“OFF”positionwhenreleased.

Tostartthetool,simplypulltheswitchtrigger.Toolspeedisincreasedbyincreasingpressureontheswitchtrigger.

Releasetheswitchtriggertostop.

       

.Thistoolisequippedwithanelectricbrake.Ifthetool

consistentlyfailstoquicklystopafterswitchtrigger

release,havetoolservicedataservicecenter.

                

.Thistoolhasareversingswitchtochangethedirectionofrotation.Depressthereversingswitchlever

fromtheRsideforclockwiseorfromtheLsideforneutralposition,theswitchtriggercannotbepulled.

     

.Alwayscheckthedirectionofrotationbeforeoperation.

.Usethereversingswitchonlyafterthetoolcomestoacompletestop.Changingthedirectionofrotation

ofbeforethetoolstopsmaydamagethetool.

Thefasteningtorquecanbeadjustedin19stepsbyturning

theadjustingringsothatitsgraduationsarealignedwiththe

pointeronthetoolbody.Thefasteningtorqueisminimum

whenthenumber1isalignedwiththepointer,andmaximum

whenthemarkingisalignedwiththepointer.Theclutchwill

slipatvarioustorquelevelswhensetatthenumber1to18.

Theclutchisdesignednottoslipatthemarking.

Beforeactualoperation,driveatrialscrewintoyourmaterial

orapieceofduplicatematerialtodeterminewhichtorque

levelisrequiredforaparticularapplication.

    

.Theadjustingringdoesnotlockwhenthepointerispositionedonlyhalfwaybetweenthegraduations.

.Donotoperatethetoolwiththeadjustingringsetbetweenthenumber18andthe

marking.Thetoolmaybedamaged.

      

..Alwaysbesurethatthetoolisswitchedoﬀandthebatterycartridgeisremovedbeforecarryingout

anyworkonthetool.

                       

.Holdtheringandturnthesleevecounterclockwisetoopenthechuckjaws.placethebitinthechuckasfarasit

willgo.Holdtheringﬁrmlyandturnthesleeveclockwisetotightenthechuck.

Toremovethebit,holdtheringandturnthesleevecounter-clockwise.

Placethepointofthedriverbitinthescrewheadandapplypressuretothetool.Startthetoolslowlyandthen

increasethespeedgradually.Releasetheswitchtriggerassoonastheclutchcutsin.

                       

Placethepointofthedriverbitinthescrewheadandapply

pressuretothetool.Startthetoolslowlyandthenincrease

thespeedgradually.Releasetheswitchtriggerassoonas

theclutchcutsin.

      

.Makesurethatthedriverbitisinsertedstraightinthescrew

Whendrillinginwood,thebestresultsareobtainedwithwood

drillsequippedwithaguidescrew.Theguidescrewmakes

drillingeasierbypullingthebitintotheworkpiece.

        

Topreventthebitfromslippingwhenstartingahole,makean

indentationwithacenter-punchandhammeratthepointto

bedrilled.

Placethepointofthebitintheindentationandstartdrilling.

Useacuttinglubricantwhendrillingmetals.Theexceptions

areironandbrasswhichshouldbedrilleddry.

      

.pressingexcessivelyonthetoolwillnotspeedupthedrilling.Infact,thisexcessivepressurewillonlyserveto

damagethetipofyourbit,decreasethetoolperformanceandshortentheservicelifeofthetool.

.Thereisatremendousforceexertedonthetool/bitatthetimeofholebreakthrough.Holdthetoolﬁrmlyandexert

carewhenthebitbeginstobreakthroughtheworkpiece.

.Astuckbitcanberemovedsimplybysettingthereversingswitchtoreverserotationinordertobackout.However,

thetoolmaybackoutabruptlyifyoudonotholeitﬁrmly.

Alwayssecuresmallworkpiecesinaviseorsimilarholddowndevice.

.Ifthetoolisoperatedcontinuouslyuntilthecatterycartridgehasdischarged,allowthetooltorestfor

15minutesbeforeproceedingwithafreshbattery.

      

1.PlugthebatterychargerintotheproperACvoltagesource.Thecharginglightwilllighteningreencolor.

2.Insertthechargerplugintothebattery.,thecharginglightwillturnredifthebatteryrunslow.

3.Whenthecharginglightturnsredtogreen,thechargingcycleiscomplete.

4.Aftercharging,unplugthechargerfromthepowersource.

      

Thebatterychargerisforchargingthelithium-ionbatterywiththiskit.Neveruseitforotherpurposesorforother

manufacturerʼsbatteries.

.Whenyouchargeabatterycartridgewhichisneworhasnotbeenusedforalongperiodoftime,itmaynot

acceptafullchargeuntilafterdischargingitcompletelyandrechargingacoupleoftimes.

.Ifyouchargeabatteryfromajustoperatedtoolorabatterywhichhasbeenexposedtodirectsunlightorheat

foralongtime,thecharginglightmaylighteninredcolor.Ifthisoccurs,waitforawhile.Chargingwillbegin

afterthebatterycools.

         

      

.Alwaysbesurethatthetoolisswitchedoﬀandthebatterycartridgeisremovedbefore

attempttoperforminspectionormaintenance.

TomaintainproductSAFETYandRELIABLITY,repairs,anyothermaintenanceoradjustment

shouldbeperformedbyProfessionalServiceCenter,alwaysusingourreplacementparts.
