1.3.1 Intended use
• The WS 1 is an accessory for measuring
microphones.
• It serves solely to protect the measuring
microphones against gentle weather conditions
(drizzle, light wind, fog, etc.) for outside use
within a temporary limit of 24 hours.
• The product is designed for outside use.

the WS 1.
• Do not use the WS 1 in case of thunderstorm,
storm, heavy rain or other extreme weather
conditions.
1.3.2 Unauthorised person
• This product may not be used by children or
persons with impaired physical, sensory or
mental abilities, or by persons who do have
a lack of experience, unless they are being
supervised.

Warning!
• Arrange all cables so that they do not cause the
risk of tripping.
• Set up the microphone so that it causes no risk
by falling over.
!
Caution!
• Do not use the measuring microphone capsules
with a laterally placed capillary.
• Only touch the weatherproof pipe at the
rubberized toroidal rings intended for this
purpose.
• Exclusively use the WS 1 with 1/2“ measuring
microphones.
• Repairs should only be carried out by service
personnel of the Microtech Gefell GmbH.

Caution!
Always use the TA 202 dehumidier
offered by Microtech Gefell GmbH for
measurements with the WS 1 to avoid
penetration of air humidity into the
measuring microphone. Air humidity
can cause damage to the measuring
microphone capsule.
Danger!
Take care to prevent water getting into
the interior of the measuring microphone.
Penetration of water into the microphone
may cause an electric shock, which at
worst leads to health damage.
Caution!
Only touch the weatherproof pipe at the
rubberized toroidal rings intended for this
purpose.
To much force effect on the weatherproof
pipe can cause damage or breakage to the
material.

During measurements with following measuring
microphone capsule by Microtech Gefell GmbH, class 1
tolerance elds are met according DIN EN 61672-1 for
horizontal sound incidence:
• MK 221, MK 222, MK 223 (suituable for microphone
amp MV 203, MV 203.3)
• MK 222 E, MK 222 BE, MK 250, MK 250 B, MK 255
(suituable for microphone amp MV 204, MV 204.3,
MV 210, MV 220)
Microtech Gefell assumes no further warranties, as no
values for measurements with measuring microphone
capsules by other manufacturers exist.
