LOCAL CONTROL BUTTONS
These two momentary push buttons (SYSTEM UP and DOWN) provide local control
of sequencer and are positioned for easy system testing. Pressing these buttons are
functionally equivalent to a closure on the remote control terminal block.

REMOTE CONTROL TERMINAL BLOCK
This three position terminal block is for the connection of customer provided remote
control wiring and switching devices. The three terminals are designated UP, COMMON
and DOWN. A momentary switch closure between UP and COMMON will initiate system
sequence UP. Output control relays, the contacts of which are connected to 6 output
terminal blocks 1 through 6 will CLOSE in numerical order. A Momentary Contact
Switch closure between DOWN and COMMON will initiate system sequence DOWN, turning
outputs off (contacts OPEN), in reverse order (6 through 1).
CHANNEL STATUS LEDs
These six yellow LEDs are adjacent to each channel terminal block and indicate the
status of the output relay contacts. An illuminated LED indicates that the output
contact is closed.
To be used indoors in dry location only.

MASTER POWER SWITCH
This switch turns the sequencer on and off. While in the ON position the MPR-SEQ will
accept and process control signals. In the OFF position, control signals will not be
processed and all output contacts will remain OPEN. Turning this switch OFF with
control channels activated will turn all output channels off simultaneously.
LED POWER INDICATOR
This green LED will be illuminated whenever the master power switch is on and AC power
is applied to the controller.

POWER CONNECTORS
Two parallel 30 Amp genderless power connectors are provided, and accept standard MPR
J-Series jumpers and T-Series tails. These connectors are for 120V AC (main) power.
NOTE: The MPR-SEQ-1CA receives power via power cord.
NOTE: MPR-SEQ-1CA has a integrated bonding stud.
FUNCTIONS
INTERVAL TIME
Control channel #1 will come ON immediately upon system activation. Subsequent
channels will be activated with a 2 second interval between each sequence step
(1 through 6). Total elapsed time for activation of all channels is 10 seconds. The
two second interval timing also applies to the sequence DOWN operation
(6 through 1). Interval time is not adjustable.
POWER FAILURE RESTART
The MPR-SEQA/MPR-SEQ-1CA will remember the status of the control channels after
a power failure.
Upon the reapplication of AC power, the following scenarios will apply:
A) If all channels are ON prior to power failure, the MPR-SEQA/MPR-SEQ-1CA
will sequence UP from the beginning (channels 1 through 6).
B) If the MPR-SEQA/MPR-SEQ-1CA was sequencing UP/DOWN or was OFF
during a power failure, the control channels will remain off.
OUTPUT CONTROL TERMINAL BLOCKS
Six, two pole terminal blocks are included (one for each control channel) and provide
dry contact output. These terminal blocks are for the connection of the MPR-SEQ to
(corresponding) RLM modules. The RLM modules will turn ON and OFF sequentially
as instructed by the MPR-SEQ.

2) The mounting hole pattern on the mounting bracket allows the module to mount any EIA compliant
rackrail.
It is recommended that a 10 - 100 Ω resistor be installed in series with the dry contact.
Select an appropriate power rating for the load current.
EXAMPLE:
100mA Load - 10 Ω Resistor
Power = 10 Ω • (100mA²) = 100mW (R • I²)
Use a resistor with a power rating AT LEAST twice the anticipated power. In this example a 10 Ω, ¼W
resistor is sufficient and commonly available.

MPR-SEQA
1) Refer to instruction sheet # I-00544, provided with the MPR raceway.
