5.0 Definition of Controls
Main Screen - HMI Operation
Recipe Number: This is a particular combination of the parameters of
heat and speed used to weld different types of fabric. This shows which
recipe you’re currently using on the machine. 0 - 24 Available recipe
settings. In order to change recipes the heat on/off switch must be in the
off position.
Machine Speed: This is the speed of the Weld Roller. The speed can be
adjusted by pressing the up or down arrows. Each push of the button
increases or decreases the speed by .01 m/min. If you hold the buttons
for 1 second, it will increase or decrease the speed by .1 m/min.
Actual Temperature: This is how hot the machine is currently.
Temperature Set Point: This is how hot you want the machine to be for
the purpose of welding your thermal plastics.
Heat Switch: This is for turning the Temperature Controller ON/OFF.
Heat Swing Button: Turns the Heat Swing ON/OFF. The swing-arm will
not swing in when this is set to OFF.
Puller Switch: Turns the Out Board Puller ON/OFF. The puller will remain
in the up position and will not turn when in the off position.
Menu Screen - Welding Functions
This screen (fig.03) is to adjust the speed percentages of the Upper Roller
and Puller Roller. When all of the rollers are in sync, the speed shows
100.0%. Adjust the percentages to change the speeds of each individual
roller. The actual speed of the roller can be checked at the Machine
Speed Display Screen.
Auto-Reverse: This adjusts the reverse speed of the rollers when the
machine stops welding. This function is to minimize missed welding and
make a perfect product. The UP and DOWN arrows increase and de-
crease the reverse speed.
ON/OFF Switches: The Drive FWD/REV, Drive System ON/OFF, and Foot
Pedal Override ON/OFF switches are used to turn the functions ON/OFF.
