FX2N SIMULATION INPUT SWITCHES

USER’S GUIDE

Introduction

Simulation switches are a convenient method of forcing inputs ON and OFF during program

development.

The table below shows the range of simulation switches, along with their relevant controllers.

* : R or T (Relay or Transistor) models

Connections

Connect the simulation switches as shown below. Note that these switches use SINK type

input switching. For correct operation the PLC must be configured to use SINK inputs. To

achieve this, connect a link wire between the S/S and 24V terminals as shown.

Single board configuration

The example above shows an FX2N-32SW fitted to an FX2N-32M*(E*). All other switch and

MPU types use similar connections.

Two board configuration

The example above shows an FX2N-128SW fitted to an FX2N-128M*. All other

switch and MPU types use similar connections.

Points to note:

1. The J1 and J2 terminals must be connected prior to operation.

2. The right hand board, marked 1 on the diagram, must be connected before

board 2, on the left.
