SST-DN4-PCU Hardware Reference Guide
Purpose of this Guide
This guide contains technical and product-related information on the SST-DN4-PCU
network interface card.
The SST-DN4-PCU consists of a single independent DeviceNet network interface (or channel),
controlled by an embedded CPU. The CPU executes downloadable application firmware
modules,
which enable application-level product behavior. For more details, refer to relevant
firmware documentation.
Note
In this manual, the SST-DN4-PCU will be referred to as the card.
Using this Guide
If you are running a 3rd party application or writing your own application using the card’s DLL
calls, the sections of interest in this guide will be “Card Overview”, “Installation” and potentially
“Troubleshooting”. If you are writing your own application in a non-Windows environment
(interfacing directly with the card’s memory registers), we recommend that you read the whole
guide.
