mission,RemoteKeylessEntryandImmobilizer.

WinFobikbasedvehicles,thesalescodemustbeaddedtothedatabaseandtheRestoreVehicleConﬁguration

(usingadiagnosticscantool)mustbeperformedpriortoinstallingthenewWINmodule.Failuretodosowill

rendertheWINmodule’sremotestartfunctioninoperative.

Thetechnicianshouldwait1/2hourbetweenaddingXBMsalescodeinDealerConnectbeforeinstallingtheWIN

module&restoringvehicleconﬁguration.Intheinterim,thetechniciancaninstallallothercomponentsexcept

theWINmodule.

NOTE:Priortoinstallation,obtainthefourdigitPINfromthedealership'spartsdepartment.

RESTOREVEHICLECONFIGURATION

NOTE:ThewiTECHsoftwarelevelmustbeatthelatestreleasetoperformthisprocedure.

1.VINmustbeupdatedwiththesalescodeoftheaddedaccessoryinordertoenablesystemfunctionality.Usingthe

DealerCONNECTwebsiteandthewiTECHdiagnosticapplication,completethevehicleconﬁguration.

2.Logontohttps://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.

3.Inthe"VehicleOption"screenunderthe"GlobalClaimsSystem"categoryinthe"Service"tab,enterthevehicle

VIN,fourdigitpinnumberobtainedfromthedealershippartsdepartmentandaddsalescode(s)notedbelowasa

"DealerInstalledOption".

4.ConﬁrmthatthenewsalescodehasbeensuccessfullyaddedtotheVIN.

5.WiththewiTECHdiagnosticapplication,performthefollowingstepsformtheInitialStartUpScreen:

•Selectthe"DIAGNOSTICPROCEDURES"tab

•Highlight"RESTOREVEHICLECONFIGURATION"

•Selectthe"RunDiagnostic"button

•Select"CONTINUE"

•VerifythatthevehicleVINnumberiscorrect

•Onceveriﬁed,selectthe"CorrectVIN"button

•NoteOnScreeninstructionsandselectthe"Close"button

HOODSWITCHANDHARNESSINSTALLATION

1.Disconnectandisolatethenegativebatterycable.

Ifequippedwithanauxiliarybattery,disconnect

andisolatetheauxiliarybattery'snegativecable

aswell.

NOTE:Engineremovedfromgraphicforclarity.

2.Removethepushpinretainers(2)andtheupperra

diatorseal/shroud(1).

3.Usingagreasepencilorequivalent,marktheposition

ofthehoodlatch(1)ontheupperradiatorcrossmem

ber.

4.Removethetwobolts(3)thatsecurethehoodlatch

totheupperradiatorcrossmember.

5.Disconnectthehoodlatchcable(1)fromthehood

latch(5)andremovethelatch.

6.Connectthehoodlatchcabletothehoodlatchassem

bly(1).

7.Positionthehoodlatchassembly(1)totheupperra

diatorcrossmemberandlooselyinstallthetwobolts

thatsecurethelatchtothecrossmember.

8.Alignthehoodlatchassembly(1)totheupperradiator

crossmemberusingthereferencemarksmadeduring

theremovalprocedureandtightentheboltsto11N∙m

(8ft.lbs.).

NOTE:Theremaybeanususedfactoryinstalled

hoodswitchharnesstapedbackontheexisting

vehicleharnesslocatedbehindtheradiatorjust

belowtheupperradiatorcrossmember.Ifpresent,

detachit,routeitundertheradiatorcrossmember

throughtothehoodlatchassemblyandconnect.

Ifthefactoryhoodswitchharnessisnotpresent,

followsteps932.

9.Usingthesuppliedwiringharnessinthekit,connect

thehoodswitchharness(1)tothehoodlatchassem

bly(2).

10.Routethehoodswitchharness(2)undertheupper

radiatorcrossmembertowardstheleftsideoftheve

hicle.

11.Securethehoodswitchharness(2)asnecessaryto

theexistingvehicleharnessusingthetiestraps(1)in

cludedinthekit.

12.Routethehoodswitchharness(1)undertheradiator

mountingbrackettowardstheinnerleftfender.

Securethehoodswitchharness(2)asnecessaryto

theexistingvehicleharnessusingthetiestraps(1)

includedinthekit.

13.Removethegroundretainer(1)fromtheinnerleft

fender(3).

14.RemovetheB+terminalnut(1)fromtheTotallyInte

gratedPowerModule(3)(TIPM)B+terminal.Remove

theB+cable(2)fromtheTIPM.

15.Usingasuitableﬂatbladetool,disengagetheTIPM

upperretainingtabsfromthebatterytraybracket.

16.GrasptheTIPM(1)androtatetheassemblyuptofree

itfromitsmountingbracket(3).Positiontheassem

blyupsidedowntoaccesstheelectricalconnectors

locatedonthebottomoftheunit.

17.DisconnecttheconnectorC4,letterDlabeledonthe

bottomoftheTIPM.Releasebydepressingthelock

ingtabandrotatingtheconnectorarmoutboard,until

theconnectorisfreefromtheTIPMassembly(1).Be

certaintopulltheconnectorstraightoff.

18.RoutethepigtailwiresdowntheharnesstotheTIPM

andsecurewherenecessary.

19.Removethe“SecondaryLock”fromtherearofthe

connector.

20.Removetheweathersealfromtherearoftheconnec

tor.

21.Removethefrontportionoftheconnectorfromthe

connectorhousing.Thisportionoftheconnector

alignstheterminalsproperlywithintheconnector

housing.

22.Locateterminal3(G70circuit)slot/cavity(3)ofthe

connectorhousing'smatingside.

23.RoutethePurple/Whitewire(1)fromthehoodswitch

harnessthroughthesecondarylock,throughthe

weathersealandintotheterminal3(G70circuit)slot

oftheconnectorhousing'swiringside.

24.Reinstallthefrontportionoftheconnector,making

surethatallterminalsareseatedcorrectlyandarein

therightdirection.Reinstalltheweathersealandthe

secondarylock.

NOTE:TotallyIntegratedpowermoduleelectricalcon

nectorsarecolorcodedtoeaselocationreference.

25.Connecttheelectricalconnectorbypushingstraight

onandrotatingtheconnectorarminboard,untilthe

connectorisﬁrmlylockedinplaceontheTIPMas

sembly.

26.TurntheTIPMsothattheconnectorsideisfacing

down.InstalltheassemblyontotheTIPMbatterytray

bracketmakingsuretolineupthelowerretainingtab

withtheretainingslotinthetray.

27.PushtheTIPM(1)downwardtolocktheupperretain

ingclipsintothebracket(2).

28.InstalltheB+terminalcable(2)andnut(1)ontheB+

terminaloftheTIPM(3).

29.Fromthetopofthemountingbracket,pressthe

switchdownwardintothemountingholeuntilthe

integralswitchlatchtabslockitintoplace.

30.Installthegroundfromthepigtailharness(2),tothe

fenderunderthebodyground(4).

32.Connectthenegativebatterycable.

WIRELESSIGNITIONMODULE(WIN)MODULEREMOVAL

1.UsingatrimstickC4755orequivalent,disengagethe

retainerclipthatsecuresthehoodreleasetothesteer

ingcolumnopeningcover,andremovethehoodre

leasehandlefromthecover.

2.Removethetwofasteners(2)thatsecurethebottom

ofthesteeringcolumnopeningcover(1)totheinstru

mentpanel.
