DO NOT REMOVE COVER. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED

All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the unit is operated.

•Refer all work related to the installation of this product to qualified service personnel or system installers.

•Do not block the ventilation opening or slots on the cover.

•Do not drop metallic parts through slots. This could permanently damage the appliance. Turn the power

off immediately and contact qualified personnel for service.

•Do not attempt to disassemble the appliance. To prevent electric shock, do not remove screws or covers.

There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Contact qualified service personnel for maintenance. Handle

the appliance with care. Do not strike or shake, as this may damage the appliance.

•Do not expose the appliance to water or moisture, nor try to operate it in wet areas. Do not take

immediate action if the appliance become wet. Turn the power off and refer servicing to qualified service

personnel. Moisture may damage the appliance and also cause electric shock.

1.3. Front Panel View and Keypads

1. POWER LED: DVR power indicator.

2. REC LED: Recording indicator.

3. PLAYBACK LED: Playback mode indicator. A green light will be on when you play a recorded file back.

4. NET LED: Network connection indicator. A green light will be on when the DVR is connected to the network.

5. USB 2.0 Port: Connect USB mouse or USB memory device for file backup or firmware upgrade.

6. IR REMOTE CONTROL SENSOR: Receives all incoming signals from the remote control.

7. JOG/SHUTTLE: Let’s you fast forward or rewind by manual turning the joggle.

8. INFO: Display system information. Press the key to turn on/off (exit).

9. REC:: Start/Stop manual recording.

10. PROTECT: You can protect recorded data from HDD overwriting.

11. CAPTURE: You can capture video image either in Playback Mode or Live Mode

12. AUDIO: Turn audio on or off.

13. FREEZE: Will temporarily pause live feeds.

14. MODE: Press to change the display type from various split screen mode.

15. SEARCH: To search video/audio files.

16. MENU: Press to pop up main menu window.

17. KEYLOCK: Locks any keys from functioning.

18. PTZ: Control PTZ camera(s) connected to your DVR

19. TELE: Zooms in on a specific area when using the PTZ function.

20. WIDE: Zooms out of that specific area when using the PTZ function.

21. ALARM: Set up Alarm.

22. ZOOM: To enlarge desired area.

23. PIP: Will display a picture with the main picture.

24. BACKUP: Backups up desired data.

25. RETURN: Redirects to Search Menu.

26. CHANNELS/CAMERAS: Channels and Cameras

27. REWIND KEY: Rewind the video during playback.

28. PLAY KEY: Playback the recorded video and audio files.

29. PAUSE KEY: Pause the recorded video and audio files.

30. STOP KEY: Stop playback.

31. FAST FORWARD KEY: Fast forward the video during playback.

32. LEFT ARROW KEY: Move to the left when navigate through menus.

33. ENTER KEY: Select items shown on the display when navigating through menus.

34. UP BUTTON KEY: Go up when navigate through menus.

35. RIGHT ARROW KEY: Move to the right when navigate through menus.

36. DOWN ARROW KEY: Go down when navigate through menus.

37. CD/DVD Burner: To backup video/audio files in a blank CD or DVD. (Some models do not come with DVR burner)

1.5. IR Remote Control

1. REC (Record): Start/stop manual recording.

2. Remote Control Setting Indicator

3. Number Buttons:Select camera (channel) number.

4. ID: Displays current ID.

5. ID SEL: Allows you to select ID setting.

6.Audio: ON/ OFF function.

7. Return: Directs you back to the previous menu. In Live Mode, this

Button will log you out.

8. Navigate Buttons: ◀Left ▲Up ▶Right ▼Down :

9. Enter : To select and save the menu and parameter change.

10. Freeze: Freezes images. (Only in Live Mode).

11. Mode: Change the display mode to 1/4/8/16/32 split screen.

12. Alarm: Turns the Alarm off.

13. Zoom: Zoom in/out the video when the channel is in full display mode.

14. Menu: Enter or exit the menu.

VCR-like functions

15. Search :Go to recorded file search menu.

16. ■Stop: Stop playback.

17. REW: Rewind (select a speed from 1, 2, 3 and 4 for faster rewind).

18. FF: Fast forward (select a speed from FF1, 2, 3 and 4.)

19. ▶Play: Play a recorded file.

20. Pause: Pause a video during playback mode.

Backup functions

21. Backup: Will direct you to the file backup window.

22. PTZ Control: Will be able to control the camera with remote control.

23. : Allows you to Zoom Out in PTZ Mode.

24. : Allows you to Zoom In in PTZ Mode.

1. Remove the battery cover by

sliding in the direction of the

arrow.

3. Replace the battery cover by

sliding in the direction of the arrow.

2. Insert two AAA batteries

according to directions provided.

Installing batteries

ID Setting Instruction:

1) Press down ID SEL button for 2 seconds to start the ID Setting Mode

2) LED will be flashing when it is in ID Setting Mode.

3) Input any 2 digits to set ID.

4) Once the 2 digits are selected, press enter.

* If no action is taken within the 2 second allowed time period, it will

automatically exit you from the ID Setting.
