OCTO PurePlace uses the advanced AFLPCO®* Photocatalytic Oxidation method to
sanitise surfaces and clean the air. Both effective and harmless, OCTO PurePlace is
derived from enhanced aerospace technology (NASA patent released on public
domain) and can eliminate viruses, bacteria, fungi as well as odours and volatile
organic compounds.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
While operating any electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be
followed for safety.
RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY
>Do not use outdoors, in moist areas or on wet surfaces.
>Do not allow any foreign objects to enter the air intake or outlet.
>Do not place any object over the air intake or outlet.
>Do not attempt to service or repair the unit yourself. Any a tempt to repair the
unit yourself will void the warranty.
>Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
>Do not pull on power cord to unplug. To unplug grasp the power adapter
close to the wall, not the cord.
>Do not use with damaged power cord or plug. If appliance is not working
properly, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water,
contact your local AFL Dealer or a customer service representative at

This appliance contains a UV-C emitter.
WARNING: UV LIGHT HAZARD. Harmful to skin and eyes. Can cause
temporary or permanent loss of vision. Never look at the lamp while
illuminated. To prevent exposure to ultraviolet light, be sure the power is
disconnected before servicing. AFLPCO®cell has been designed to minimize
exposure to UV light.
UV lamp contains Hg (Mercury) and should be disposed of according to local
disposal laws.
UV lamp may be hot and could cause serious burns. Allow lamp to cool before
removing AFLPCO®Cell from appliance. Never touch UV lamp. Oils from your
skin can cause UV lamp to break when lamp is illuminated.
WARNING: UV radiation is dangerous for the eyes and skin. Do not operate
the UV-C emitter outside the appliance.
Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the housing may result in the
escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation may, even in little doses,
cause harm to the eyes and skin.
Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be operated.
Read the maintenance instructions before opening the appliance;
The appliance must be disconnected from the supply before replacing the UV-
C emitter.

OCTO is proud to unveil the second generation of OCTO PurePlace Mini with
AFL’s proprietary NASA Developed AFLPCO®Technology that destroys
germs by sanitising both the air and surfaces in rooms by up to 330 square
foot areas.
Standard air filters, (including HEPA filters), fail to eliminate many bacteria,
viruses, and other dangerous particulates in the air such as:PM2.5 and smoke

The OCTO PurePlace Mini was created specifically to help you effectively
combat a large number and variety of contaminants. The advanced nano
AFLPCO®Technology provides a blanket of protection by sanitising the air
and surfaces around you.
How does the OCTO PurePlace Mini Work?
Air purifiers have a fundamental flaw. They rely on air being pulled through
the machine in order to clean it. This creates an ineffective, high energy,
high cost air purifier.
The OCTO PurePlace Mini uses multiple technologies in one compact unit.
As the air passes through the washable stainless steel dust guard, larger
particulates are removed. As the air passes through the machine,

a germicidal UVC lamp deactivates the DNA of any bacteria, viruses and
other pathogens destroying their ability to multiply and cause disease.
Photons created by the germicidal UVC lamp react with metal AFLPCO®
catalyst to create a plethora of human friendly negative ions that clean the
air of bacteria, mould, viruses, VOC’s and bad o dours. These ions also
sterilise any surfaces they come into contact with such as on countertops,
tabletops, walls, floors and ceilings.
The OCTO PurePlace Mini uses state of the art, nano metal AFLPCO®
catalyst which is the most advanced PCO catalyst in the world today in
terms of safety and the number of human friendly ions created from this
NASA Developed nano technology.
By utilizing a broad spectrum 253.7nm UV light we achieve the same
oxidising and ionising benefits found in nature created by the sun. By
combining this frequency of UV light with nano metal AFLPCO®catalyst we
achieve unparalleled results.
The AFL PLASMA®technology also generates and abundance of human
friendly ions through and advanced cold plasma ionisation technology to
help eliminate the fine particles in the air.

OCTO PurePlace Mini Warranty
OCTO gives you the following warranty for this product only if it was
originally purchased directly from OCTO.
OCTO will repair or replace, free of charge to the original purchaser, any
part that is found to be defective in material or workmanship within one (1)
year of the date of purchase.
This warranty does not apply to any part subjected to accident, abuse,
alteration, misuse, lack of reasonable care, the affixing of any attachment
not provided with the product, loss of parts, damage caused by acts of God
or the use of voltages other than indicated on the label displayed on this
product or service of this product by anyone other than OCTO, its
authorised dealer or appointed representative.
OCTO does not authorise any person to assume or grant any other
warranty obligation on its behalf in connection with the sale of this product.
All express and implied warranties for this product, including iImplied
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are
limited in duration to the warranty period, and no warranties, whether
express or implied, will apply after this period.

Mounting Directions and Operation
The OCTO PurePlace Mini is intended for spaces up to 30 square meters.
For best results the unit should be placed in an elevated area.
