Microinverter SUN series.

4. safety instructions before installation
•When you receive the inverter, check whether any damage occurred during transportation.
Contact the transport company or our company in time if there are any problems.
•When placing or moving the inverter, you must follow the instructions in the manual.
•When installing the inverter, you must evaluate whether the work area presents an arcing
hazard.
•The inverter must be connected to a battery. It is recommended that the minimum capacity
(Ah) of the battery is five times the current equal to the rated output power of the inverter
divided by the battery voltage.
•Keep the inverter away from children and do not let them play near it.
•This inverter is an off-grid type. It is strictly forbidden to connect the inverter to the grid,
otherwise it will be damaged.
•This inverter is approved for stand-alone operation only. It is forbidden to connect several
units in parallel or in series; otherwise the inverter will be damaged.
5. safety instructions for mechanical assembly
•Before installation, make sure that the inverter does not have an electrical connection.
•Before installation, ensure that there is sufficient space for heat dissipation from the inverter. Do
not install the inverter in a harsh environment, such as a humid, greasy, flammable or explosive
environment, or an environment where dust accumulates.

6. safety instructions for electrical connection
•Check that all wiring connections are tight to avoid the risk of heat build-up from loose
connections.
•Protective grounding must be connected to the ground. The cross-section of the wire should
not be less than 4mm2.
•The DC input voltage must correspond exactly to the parameter table. A DC input voltage
that is too high or too low will affect the normal operation of the inverter and may even
damage it
•It is recommended that the length of the connection between the battery and the inverter is
less than 3 meters. If the length is more than 3 meters, the current density of the connection
line should be reduced.
•A fuse or breaker should be used between the battery and the inverter; The rated current of
the fuse or breaker should be twice the inverter input current.
•DO NOT install the inverter near the flooded lead-acid battery, as the flying sparks from the
terminals may ignite the hydrogen released from the battery.
•The AC output terminal is only for connecting the load. DO NOT connect it to other power
sources or the utility grid, otherwise the inverter will be damaged. Switch off the inverter
before connecting loads.
•Do not connect battery chargers or other similar products to the input terminal of the
inverter; otherwise, the inverter will be damaged.
7. safety instructions for the operation of the inverter
•When the inverter is in operation, it generates waste heat and can thus heat up the surface.
The temperature may become very high; do not touch the enclosure.
•When the inverter is in operation, please do not open the enclosure.
•The AC output of the inverter is under high voltage, do not touch the cable terminal to avoid
electric shock.

8. hazardous operations that can cause arcing, fire or explosion.
•Touching the end of the cable that has not been insulated and may be live.
•Touching the copper wire, terminals, or internal modules of the inverter, which may be
energized.
•The power cord connection is loose.
•Screw or other spare parts accidentally fall into the inverter.
•Improper operation by untrained non-professional or technical personnel.
When an accident has occurred, it must be handled by professional and technical
personnel. Improper operation would cause further serious accidents.
9. Safety instructions for decommissioning the inverter
•If the inverter has not been in operation for five minutes, the conductive modules may be
touched.
•The inverter may be restarted after eliminating the faults that affected the safety
performance.
•There are no parts inside that require maintenance.
DO NOT touch or open the enclosure after the inverter has been turned off within ten
minutes.
10. safety instructions for the maintenance of inverters
•It is recommended to check the inverter with a test device to ensure that it is free of
voltage and current.
•When performing electrical connection and maintenance work, put up a temporary
warning sign or erect barriers to prevent uninvolved personnel from entering the electrical
connection or maintenance area.
•Improper operation of the inverter can cause personal injury or equipment damage.
•To avoid static damage, please wear an anti-static wrist strap or avoid unnecessary
contact with the circuit board.

After the start-up and test procedure (about 15 seconds), the inverter starts feeding, provided
that the PV module generates the start-up voltage of 20V required by the inverter (under load!).

Microinverter PV Module Solarman App
Installation and configuration
Install the microinverter and the PV module.
Screw the WiFi antenna to the microinverter.
Start up the microinverter by connecting the PV module and the AC connection cable.
The status LED signals the start-up of the microinverter.
-Start procedure: 3-fold fast red flashing intervals
-Test procedure: 2-fold slow red flashing intervals
-Feeding process: blue flashing intervals (slow = low output power / fast = high output
power)

2) Start the smartphone app and create a new profile by selecting „Register a
new account“.
3) Enter your email address and press the
"Send" button under Verification Code.
You will now find a message with a 6-digit
code in your e-mail inbox. Enter this code
in the app under "Verification Code".
Then enter a password and click on
"Done".
4) Now press the "Add Now" button and
select "Yes" for the O&M request. Then
click on "Create Plant By Myself".
5) The Solarman Smart App will automatically detect your location. Then press the "Next" button.

6) Now fill in all information of your PV system and press "Done":
-Plant Name
-Time Zone
-Plant Type
-System Type: PV plant type
-All on Grid: the generated power is fed directly
into the public power grid.
-Self-consumption: the generated power is used by
yourself and a surplus is fed into the public power
grid.
-Storage System: the PV system can store the
generated energy (batteries).
-Installed Capacity (kWp): Max. total capacity
(Decimal numbers are indicated with a dot!)
-Operating Date: Installation date
-Currency:
-Unit Price (EUR/kWh): Savings / kWh of your
energy supplier
-Total Cost (EUR): Assets Acquisition cost
The setup of your PV system in the Solarman Smart App is now complete.
7) Press the "Go to Add" button to add the WiFi interface (logger) of the inverter (not the serial
number of the inverter!). The WiFi serial number can be entered manually or scanned with the
smartphone camera.
