Important

◗Check whether the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds

to the mains voltage in your home before you connect the

appliance.

◗If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged,it must only be

replaced by Philips or their service representative,as special tools

and/or parts are required.

◗Never use accessories or parts made by other manufacturers or

that are not specifically recommended by Philips.Your guarantee

will become invalid if you use such parts or accessories.

◗Check the sieve every time you want to use the appliance.If you

detect any cracks or damage,do not use the appliance and contact

the nearest Philips Service Centre.

Preparing the appliance for use

Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and do not let it run

unattended.

C1Put the jug in place and turn the handle in the direction of the

arrow until the jug will not go any further.

C2Put the pulp container on the jug.

Make sure that the recesses of the pulp container cover the projections

on the jug.

C3Place the sieve in the middle of the pulp container.

C4Put the lid on the jug and turn it in the direction of the arrow until

it will not go any further.

The projection of the lid now covers the handle of the jug.

C5You can put the chute on the lid.

6Put the plug in the wall socket.

Ingredients and tips

- Use fresh fruit and vegetables;they contain more juice.Particularly

suitable for processing in the juice extractor are pineapples,

beetroots,celery stalks,apples,cucumbers, carrots,spinach,melons,

tomatoes,oranges and grapes.

- You don’t have to remove thin peels or skins.Only thick peels,e.g.

those of oranges,pineapples and uncooked beetroots need to be

removed.Also remove the white pith of citrus fruits because it has a

bitter taste.

- When preparing apple juice,remember that the thickness of the

apple juice depends on the kind of apple you are using.Some kinds

of apples are more juicy, while others produce a thicker juice. Choose

a kind of apple that produces the type of juice you prefer.

- Apple juice turns brown very quickly.You can slow down this process

by adding a few drops of lemon juice.

- Fruits that contain starch, such as bananas,papayas,avocados,figs and

mangoes are not suitable for processing in the juice extractor.Use a

food processor,blender or bar blender to process these fruits.

- Leaves and leafstalks of e.g. lettuce can also be processed in the juice

extractor.

- Drink the juice immediately after you have extracted it. If it is

exposed to air for some time,the juice will lose its taste and

nutritional value.

How to use the appliance

1Wash the fruit and/or vegetables and cut them into pieces that fit

into the chute.

2Switch the appliance on by pressing the on/off switch.

The appliance will only function if the jug and the lid have been

properly mounted onto the motor unit.

C3Put the pieces in the chute and press them gently down with the

pusher.

Do not exert too much pressure on the pusher;this could affect the

quality of the end result and it could even cause the sieve to come to a

halt.

Never put an object or your fingers in the chute.

4When the flow of juice into the jug has stopped,switch the

appliance off and wait until the sieve has stopped rotating

completely.

Do not fill the jug beyond the MAX indication to prevent juice from

being spilt.If you want to extract a large quantity of juice,empty the jug

at a certain point during the process.

Do not let the appliance run continuously for more than two minutes.If

you have not finished extracting juice, switch the appliance off and allow

it to cool down for two minutes before you continue.

C5Pour out the juice.

It is not necessary to disassemble the juice extractor.

If the pulp container is full:

1Switch the appliance off and wait until the sieve has stopped

rotating completely.

2Empty the pulp container.

3Reassemble the juice extractor and continue.

Cleaning

◗Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the wall socket

before you start cleaning the appliance.

◗Do not use abrasive cleaning agents,scourers,wire wool,acetone,

alcohol etc.

1Remove the parts from the motor unit.

2Clean the parts that have been in contact with food in hot soapy

water immediately after use and rinse them with hot water.

Do not put any of the parts in the dishwasher.

C3To clean the sieve,use the soft brush supplied.

4Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth.

If necessary,you can use some cleaning agent.

Never immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap.

◗Prüfen Sie,bevor Sie das Gerät in Gebrauch nehmen,ob die

Spannungsangabe auf dem Gerät mit der örtlichen Netzspannung

übereinstimmt.

◗Wenn das Netzkabel defekt oder beschädigt ist,muß es von einer

durch Philips autorisiertenWerkstatt ersetzt werden,da für die

Reparatur Spezial-Werkzeug und/oder spezielleTeile benötigt

werden.

◗Verwenden Sie keine Zusatzteile oder –geräte,die von Philips nicht

ausdrücklich empfohlen worden sind.Anderenfalls erlischt die

Garantie.

◗Prüfen Sie vor jedem Gebrauch das Raspelsieb.Verwenden Sie das

Gerät nicht,wenn es in irgendeiner Hinsicht beschädigt ist oder

einen Sprung aufweist,sondern wenden Sie sich an das Philips

Service Center in Ihrem Lande.

Vorbereitung zum Gebrauch

Halten Sie Kinder vom Gerät fern.Betreiben Sie es auch nicht

unbeaufsichtigt.

C1Stellen Sie die Saftkanne an ihren Platz,und drehen Sie den Griff bis

zumAnschlag in Pfeilrichtung.

C2Setzen Sie denTresterbehälter auf den Krug.

Achten Sie darauf,daßTresterbehälter und Saftkanne exakt

ineinandergreifen.

C3Setzen Sie das Raspelsieb mitten auf denTresterbehälter.

C4Setzen Sie den Deckel auf die Saftkanne und drehen Sie ihn bis zum

Anschlag in Pfeilrichtung.

DerVorsprung auf dem Deckel befindet sich jetzt genau über dem Griff

der Saftkanne.

C5Sie können den Einfüllstutzen auf dem Deckel anbringen.

6Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.

Zutaten und Hinweise

- Verwenden Sie nur frisches Obst bzw.Gemüse. Besonders zu

empfehlen sindAnanas,Äpfel,Melonen,Orangen und Grapefruit bzw.

Möhren,rote Rüben,Tomaten,Gurken und Spinat.

- Sie brauchen nur Früchte mit dicken oder harten Schalen zu schälen,

z.B.Ananas,Äpfel,Melonen,Apfelsinen,Grapefruit und rohe rote

Rüben.Entfernen Sie auch die weißen Reste der Schalen von

Zitrusfrüchten, denn sie verursachen sonst einen bitteren

Beigeschmack.

- Wenn Sie Apfelsaft zubereiten,so denken Sie bitte daran, daß

manche Äpfel einen klaren,andere einen trüben,eher dickflüssigen

Saft ergeben.Wählen Sie also eine Apfelsorte,die den von Ihnen

bevorzugten Saft liefert.

- Apfelsaft wird schnell braun.Sie können diesenVorgang verzögern,

indem Sie einigeTropfen Zitronensaft hinzufügen.

- Stärkehaltige Früchte, z.B.Bananen,Papaya,Avocado,Mango und

Feigen,sollten mit diesem Gerät nicht entsaftet werden.Verwenden

Sie für solche Früchte eine Küchenmaschine,Mixer oder einen

Stabmixer.

- Blätter und Strünke (z.B. von Kopfsalat) können in diesem Gerät

mitverarbeitet werden.

- Trinken Sie den Saft sofort nach der Herstellung.Die Säfte verlieren

an Geschmack und Nährwert, wenn sie einige Zeit an der Luft

stehen.

Der Gebrauch des Entsafters

1Waschen Sie das Obst/Gemüse und schneiden Sie es in Stücke,die

in die Einfüllöffnung passen.

2Drücken Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter,um das Gerät einzuschalten.

Das Gerät arbeitet nur,wenn die Kanne und der Deckel korrekt auf die

Motoreinheit aufgesetzt sind.

C3Stecken Sie die vorgeschnittenen Stücke Obst/Gemüse in die

Einfüllöffnung und drücken Sie mit dem Stopfer leicht nach.

Drücken Sie nicht zu stark;damit könnten Sie das Ergebnis

beeinträchtigen,und das Raspelsieb könnte angehalten werden.

Stecken Sie niemals irgendeinen Gegenstand oder Ihre Finger in die

Einfüllöffnung.

4Wenn kein Saft mehr herauskommt,schalten Sie das Gerät aus und

warten,bis das Raspelsieb völlig zum Stillstand gekommen ist.

Füllen Sie die Saftkanne nicht höher als bis zur Markierung MAX,um

Spritzer zu vermeiden.Wollen Sie größere Mengen Saft breiten,so

füllen Sie den Saft in ein entsprechend großes Gefäß um.

Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht länger als zwei Minuten ohne Unterbrechung

laufen.Wollen Sie es weiter benutzen,so schalten Sie das Gerät aus,

und lassen Sie es zwei Minuten abkühlen,bevor Sie mit der Zubereitung

von Saft fortfahren.

C5Entnehmen Sie den Saft.

Es ist dazu nicht nötig,das Gerät auseinanderzunehmen.

Wenn derTresterbehälter voll ist:

1Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und warten Sie,bis das Raspelsieb zum

Stillstand gekommen ist.

2Leeren Sie denTresterbehälter.

3Setzen Sie denTresterbehälter wieder ein,und fahren Sie mit dem

Entsaften fort.

Reinigung

◗Schalten Sie das Gerät aus,ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den

Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

◗Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine Scheuermittel und keine

Lösungsmittel wie Benzin,Aceton oderAlkohol.

1Nehmen Sie alle Geräteteile von der Motoreinheit ab.

2Reinigen Sie alleTeile,die mit Obst/Gemüse bzw.Saft in Berührung

gekommen sind,in heißemWasser,dem Sie etwas Spülmittel

zugefügt haben,und spülen Sie sie anschließend mit frischem,

heißemWasser ab.

DieTeile sind für den Geschirrspüler nicht geeignet.

C3Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Raspelsiebs die mitgelieferte

weiche Bürste.

4Reinigen Sie das Motorgehäuse mit einem feuchtenTuch.

Sie können bei Bedarf ein wenig Spülmittel auf dasTuch auftragen.

Tauchen Sie das Motorgehäuse niemals inWasser.Spülen Sie es auch

nicht unter fließendemWasser ab.
