Introduction
The Infra-Red Mini-Controller lets your remotely control lights and appliances
from the control of your armchair. Place it near you home entertainment
system or by your bedside as you like. With your Infrared Universal Remote
Control (X10 compatible), or by pressing the buttons on your Mini-Controller,
you can turn off your appliances or lights around your home without getting
out of your easy chair. You can turn off your child's radio, TV or night light
from your bedroom. You can turn your lights on with the push of a button on
your remote control if you hear a suspicious noise at night. With your Infra-
Red Mini-Controller, you can control virtually all electrical appliances in your
home.
Features
• Lets you remotely control up to 8 X10 Modules (16 with the remote
control) from anywhere in your home. You plug lamps and appliances
into the "Lamp" or "Appliance Modules".
• Receives commands from your Remote Control.
• Sends signals to Modules over your electrical wiring. (No additional
wiring required)
• Turns off everything in the system with one button.
The Mini-Controller
Installation of your Mini-Controller is easy, simply follow these steps:
1. Using a small screwdriver, choose one of the 16 letters on the Mini-
Controller Housecode Dial. Select the same housecode as you set for
the Modules and the remote (Pronto remote).
2. Plug the power cord into any functioning 230 Vac- 50Hz outlet.
Note: For PRONTO remote control: If the IR7243 is set to house code
P, then all commands coming from a Pronto remote control will be converted
to powerline using the house code you set in the house code screen of a
Pronto remote. When you press a front panel key of the IR7243, the
housecode P will be transmitted.

Setting up your X10 Infrared Remote Control:
To control X10 device you need to enter the Home Automation code in your
X-10 remote. You can find this code in the Code Book of your remote control.
To enter the code, please refer to the user guide of your remote control
(same procedure as the setting of a VCR or SAT ... code). Note that you
need to dedicate one mode key of your remote control to this home
automation code.
For a non X10 remote control, please refer to its user guide and code list.
To Turn On / Off a Light or Appliance:
1. Aim the remote at the front plate of the Mini-Controller.
2. Press the mode key dedicated to Home Automation on your remote control.
3. Press the Module's Unit Code (1-9) on the numeric keypad of your remote
control.
4. Press Channel up/ down to turn it on/off on your remote control.
To Dim / Bright a Light:
1. Aim the remote at the front plate of the Mini-Controller.
2. Press the mode key dedicated to Home Automation on your remote control.
3. Press the Module's Unit Code (1-9).
4. Press Volume UP/DOWN to bright/dim.
Note: To control modules with unit codes higher than 9, on most X10 remote
control, you can use the following keys :
- "10", press the 0 key and then on (Chan+), off (Chan-), bright (Vol+) or dim (Vol-)
- "11",press the A.B key and then on (Chan+), off (Chan-), bright (Vol+) or dim (Vol-)
- "12", press the (or the record) key and then on (Chan+), off (Chan-), Bright
(Vol+) or Dim (Vol-)
- "13", press the key and then on (Chan+),off (Chan-), bright (Vol+) or dim (Vol-)
- "14", press the key and then on (Chan+),off (Chan-), bright (Vol+) or dim (Vol-)
- "15", press the key and then on (Chan+),off (Chan-),bright (Vol+) or dim (Vol-)
- "16", press the --/- key and then on (Chan+),off (Chan-), bright (Vol+) or dim (Vol-)

To Turn All Lights On:
1. Aim the remote at the front plate of the Mini-Controller.
2. Press the mode key dedicated to Home Automation on your remote control.
3. Press the Power key of your remote control.
To Turn All Lights and Appliances Off:
1.Aim the remote at the front plate of the Mini-Controller.
2.Press the mode key dedicated to Home Automation on your remote control.
3.Press the Mute key of your remote control.
To use the Mini Controller's Command Center's control panel:
1. Press and release the on or off side of one of the four number keys
corresponding to the Unit Code set on the Module(s) to be controlled.
2. To change the light intensity : press on DIM/BRIGTH button (note : this
feature works if your selected lamp is plugged into a "lamp" module)
3. To switch on all the lights : press "ALL LIGHTS ON" button
4. To switch off all the lights and appliances : press "ALL UNITS OFF"
The Selector Switch determines which group of four Unit Codes will be
affected (1-4 or 5-8).
Safety warning:
Keep in mind that your Infra-Red Mini-Controller will always turn lamps
and appliances on or off when you use your Remote Control or press the
Mini-Controller buttons. That's obvious - but there can be some
unexpected consequences if not used with care. For example, an empty
coffee pot can be remotely turned on. If that should happen, your coffee
pot may be damaged from overheating. If an electric heater is turned on
by remote control while clothing is draped over it, a fire could result. Do
not use the system for the control of high power heating appliances such
as portable heaters.

Einleitung
Der Infrarot Mini-Controller erlaubt Ihnen die Kontrolle Ihrer Lampen und
Geraete vom Sessel aus. Sie koennen ihn neben Ihrer Hifi Anlage oder neben
Ihrem Bett , ganz wie Sie wollen, anbringen. Mit Ihrer X10 kompatiblen
Universal Fernbedienung oder mittels Knopfdruck an Ihrem Minicontroller
koennen Sie Geraete oder Licht an und ausschalten ohne aufzustehen.
Schalten Sie den Radio der Kindern oder das Licht im Kinderzimmer von
Ihrem Schlafzimmer aus aus. Wenn Sie nachts etwas verdaechtiges hoeren
koennen Sie das Licht mit einem Knopfdruck einschalten. Mit Ihrem Infrarot
Mini-Controller koennen Sie alles elektrische in Ihrem Haus kontrollieren.
Eigenschaften
• erlaubt die Kontrolle von bis zu 8 X10 Modulen (16 mittels Fernbedienung)
ueberall in Ihrem Haus. Schliessen Sie Lampen bzw. Geraete an den dafuer
vorgesehenen Modulen an
• empfaengt die Kommandos Ihrer Fernbedienung
• sendet Signale zu den Modulen ueber das Stromnetz (keine Verkabelung
noetig)
• schaltet mittels Knopfdruck alles im System aus
Der Mini Controller
Die Installation Ihres Mini-Controller ist einfach. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Waehlen Sie mit Hilfe eines Schraubenziehers einen der 16 Bereiche des
Mini Controller Hauscodes. Waehlen Sie den gleichen Hauscodes den
Sie auf den Modulen und der Fernbedienung eingestellt haben.
2. Schliessen Sie das Stromkabel an einer 230 Vac-50 Hz Steckdose an
Vorbereitung Ihrer X10 Infrarrot Fernbedienung:
Fuer Pronto Fernbedienung : Wenn der IR7243 auf den Haus Code P
eingestellt ist, dann werden alle Befehle der Fernbedienung in ein "Powerline"
Signal umgewandelt, dass dem Signal der Fernbedienung entspricht. When

Um ein X10 Modul zu kontrollieren, muessen Sie den Home Automation Code
in Ihre X10 Fernbedienung eingeben. Sie finden diesen im Code Buch Ihrer
Fernbedienung. (Gleicher Ablauf wie bei der Einstellung eines VCR oder
SAT ..Codes). Hinweis: Sie muessen einen Mode Knopf festlegen um diesen
Home Automation Code zu kontrollieren.
Fuer eine nicht X10 Fernbedienung schlagen Sie bitte im entsprechenden
Handbuch nach.
Ein Geraet oder Licht Ein/Aus Schalten:
1. Richten Sie die Fernbedienung auf den Mini-Controller.
2. Druecken Sie den ausgewaehlten Mode Knopf fuer Homeautomation auf
Ihrer Fernbedienung.
3. Druecken Sie den entsprechenden Unit Knopf des Moduls (1-9) auf Ihrer
Fernbedienung.
4. Druecken Sie Channel up/ down um es ein/aus zuschalten
Dimmen der Lichter:
1. Richten Sie die Fernbedienung auf den Mini-Controller.
2. Druecken Sie den ausgewaehlten Mode Knopf fuer Homeautomation auf
Ihrer Fernnbedienung.
3. Druecken Sie den entsprechenden Unit Knopf des Moduls (1-9) auf Ihrer
Fernbedienung.
4. Druecken Sie zum Dimmen Volume UP/DOWN .
Hinweis: um ein/aus zu schalten bzw zum dimmen eines Moduls mit Unit Code:
- "10", druecken Sie " 0" und dann fuer "ein" (Chan+), "aus" (Chan-), "heller" (Vol+)
"dunkel" (Vol-)
- "11", druecken Sie den A.B Knopf und dann "ein" (Chan+), "aus" (Chan-), "heller"
(Vol+), "dunkel" (Vol-)
- "12",druecken Sie den (oder REC) und dann "ein" (Chan+), "aus" (Chan-),"heller"
(Vol+), "dunkel" (Vol-)
- "13", druecken Sie den und dann "ein" (Chan+), "aus" (Chan-), "heller" (Vol+),
"dunkel" (Vol-)
- "14", druecken Sie den Knopf , dann "ein" (Chan+), "aus" (Chan-), "hell" (Vol+)
"dunkel" (Vol-)
- "15", druecken Sie den Knopf, dann "ein" (Chan+), "aus" (Chan-), "hell" (Vol+)
"dunkel" (Vol-)

Alle Lichter an:
1. Richten Sie die Fernbedienung auf den Mini-Controller.
2. Druecken Sie den ausgewaehlten Mode Knopf fuer Homeautomation auf
Ihrer Fernbedienung..
3. Druecken Sie den Power Knopf auf Ihrer Fernbedienung
Alle Lichter/Geraete aus:
1. Richten Sie die Fernbedienung auf den Mini-Controller.
2. Druecken Sie den ausgewaehlten Mode Knopf fuer Homeautomation auf
Ihrer Fernbedienung.
3.Druecken Sie den Mute Knopf auf Ihrer Fernbedienung
Benutzung des Kontroll Panels des Mini Controller's :
1. Druecken Sie einen der vier Nummern Knoepfe der dem Unit Code
des zu kontrollierenden Moduls entspricht.
2. Ein/Ausschalten des gewaehlten Moduls: druecken Sie den ON/OFF
Knopf.
3. Dimmen: druecken Sie den DIM/BRIGTH Knopf (Hinweis :funktioniert
nur wenn die ausgewaehlte Lampe an einem Lampenmodul
angeschlossen ist)
4. Alle Lichter an: druecken Sie den "ALL LIGHTS ON" Knopf
5. Alle Lichter aus:druecken Sie den "ALL UNITS OFF" Knopf
Der Wahl Schalter entscheidet welche Gruppe der vier Unit Codes (1-4
oder 5-8 ) angesteuert wird.
Sicherheitshinweis :
Bitte beachten Sie, dass Ihr Infrarot Mini Controller immer Geraete oder Lichter
schaltet sobald Sie Ihre Fernbedienung oder Mini Controller benutzen. Wenn Sie
nicht vorsichtig sind kann das schlimme Folgen haben, falls Sie nicht vorsichtig
sind. Zum Beispiel kann eine leere Kaffeemaschine eingeschaltet werden und
durch Ueberhitzung beschaedigt werden. Wenn eine Elektroheizung eingeschaltet
wird , solange dort z.B. Kleidung haengt kann es zu einem Brand kommen .
Benutzen Sie das System deshalb nicht um grosse Stromabnehmer , wie z.b.
tragbare Heizungen, zu kontrollieren.

Introduction
Installation
Le Mini-Contrôleur Infra-Rouge vous permet de contrôler à distance vos
luminaires et autres appareils électriques depuis votre fauteuil. Installez-
le à proximité de vos équipements audio-vidéo ou dans votre chambre,
en fonction de vos besoins. Avec votre Télécommande Universelle
Infrarouge (compatible X10), ou en appuyant directement sur le clavier
de votre Mini-Contrôleur, vous pouvez éteindre votre TV ou vos lumiaires
sans avoir à quitter le comfort de votre siège. Vous pouvez éteindre la
radio de votre enfant, la TV et même les lampes extérieures depuis votre
chambre à coucher. En cas de bruit suspect pendant la nuit, vous pouvez
allumer n'importe quelle lumière par un simple clic de télécommande.
Avec votre Mini-Contrôleur Infra-Rouge, vous pouvez commander à
distance tous les appareils électriques de votre maison.
Principales caractéristiques
• Permet de contrôler jusqu'à 8 Modules X10 (16 avec une
Télécommande Universelle), à distance, de n'importe quel endroit de
votre maison. Il suffit de brancher chaque lampe à un module "lampe"
et chaque appareil à un module "appareil" de X10 .
• Reçoit les commandes infrarouges de votre télécommande
• Transmet des signaux aux modules à travers le réseau électrique de
votre maison (Pas de câblage supplémentaire)
Du Mini-Contrôleur
L'installation de votre Mini-Contrôleur Infra-Rouge est simple. Suivez la
procédure suivante:
1. Grâce à un petit tournevis, sélectionnez une des 16 lettres sur le
sélecteur du code maison, situé en haut à droite du Mini-Contrôleur.
Choisissez le même Code Maison que pour les Modules "Appareil"ou
"Lampe" ainsi que pour la télécommande.
2. Branchez-le dans une prise 230 Volts - 50 Hz.

Contrôle avec votre télécommande infra-rouge
Pour une télécommande Pronto : Si le code maison du IR7243 est "P",
alors tous les ordres provenant d'une Pronto seront transmis au courant
porteur, par l'envoi du code "maison" programmé dans l'écran "réglage code
maison" de la Pronto, même différent de "P". Si en revanche, vous utilisez le
clavier du IR7243, c'est le code maison "P" qui sera transmis.
Programmation de la Télécommande Infra-Rouge X10
Pour contrôler les appareils X10 à partir de votre télécommande, vous devez
préalablement enregistrer le code Domotique dans votre télécommande X10.
Vous pouvez trouver ce code dans la liste de codes fournie avec votre
télécommande. Pour saisir le code, veuillez-vous réferrer au guide utilisateur
de votre télécommande (même procédure que pour programmer un code
VCR, SAT...). Notez que vous devrez dédier une touche mode de votre
télécommande à cette fonction Domotique.
Pour une télécommande autre que X10, reportez-vous à sa liste de codes
pour trouver le code X10 et à son guide utilisateur pour la méthode de
programmation.
Pour allumer / éteindre une lumière ou un appareil

. Dirigez la télécommande vers la face avant du Mini-Contrôleur.
2. Sélectionnez le mode Domotique sur votre Télécommande.
3. Pressez le Code Unité du Module (1-9) que vous désirez contrôler au
moyen du clavier numérique de votre télécommande.
4. Appuyez sur les touches Channel UP/DOWN de la télécommande pour
Allumer/Eteindre.
Pour réduire / augmenter l'intensité lumineuse
1. Dirigez la télécommande vers la face avant du Mini-Contrôleur.
2. Sélectionnez le mode Domotique sur votre Télécommande.
3. Sélectionnez le Code Unité du Module (1-9).
4. Appuyez sur les touches Volume UP/DOWN de la télécommande pour
augmenter / baisser l'intensité lumineuse.

N.B : Avec la plupart des télécommandes, pour allumer/éteindre ou faire varier
l'intensité d'un module dont le code unité est supérieur à 9:
- "10", pressez la touche "0" puis la touche "Chan+" pour allumer, "Chan-" pour
éteindre, "Vol+" pour augmenter l'intensité ou "Vol-" pour la diminuer
- "11", pressez la touche "A.B" puis la touche "Chan+" pour allumer, "Chan-" pour
éteindre, "Vol+" pour augmenter l'intensité ou "Vol-" pour la diminuer
- "12", pressez la touche " " ( ou "record") puis la touche "Chan+" pour allumer,

Pour allumer toutes les lumières
1. Dirigez la télécommande vers la face avant du Mini-Contrôleur.
2. Sélectionnez le mode Domotique sur votre Télécommande.
3. Appuyez sur la touche Power de votre télécommande
Pour éteindre tous les appareils et lumières
1. Dirigez la télécommande vers la face avant du Mini-Contrôleur.
2. Sélectionnez le mode Domotique sur votre télécommande.
3. Appuyez sur la touche Mute de la télécommande.
Contrôle à partir du clavier du Mini-Contrôleur
1. Appuyez sur une des 4 touches numériques correspondant au Code
Unité du Module que vous souhaitez contrôler.
2. Pour allumer / éteindre le module concerné : appuyez sur la touche
ON/OFF
