Before attempting to operate this power tool the
following basi safety pre autions should always be
taken to redu e the risk of fire, ele tri sho k and
personal injury. It is important to read the instru tion
manual to understand the appli ation, limitations and
potential hazards asso iated with this tool.
CERTIFICATE OF GUARANTEE
This produ t is guaranteed for a period of 2 Years, with
effe t from the date of pur hase and applies only to the
original pur haser. This guarantee only applies to
defe ts arising from, defe tive materials and or faulty
workmanship that be ome evident during the
guarantee period only and does not in lude onsumable
items. The manufa turer will repair or repla e the
produ t at their dis retion subje t to the following. That
the produ t has been used in a ordan e with the
guide lines as detailed in the produ t manual and that it
has not been
subje ted to misuse, abuse or used for a purpose for
whi h it was not intended. That it has not been taken
apart or tampered with in any way whatsoever or has
been servi ed by unauthorised persons or has been
used for hire purposes. Transit damage is ex luded from
this guarantee, for su h damage the transport ompany
is responsible. Claims made under this guarantee must
be made in the first instan e, dire tly to the retailer
within the guarantee period. Only under ex eptional
ir umstan es should the produ t be returned to the
manufa turer. In these ase it shall be the onsumer’s
responsibility to return the produ t at their ost
ensuring that the produ t is adequately pa ked to
prevent transit damage and must be a ompanied with
a brief des ription of the fault and a opy of the re eipt
or other proof of pur hase. The manufa turer shall not
be liable for any spe ial, exemplary, dire t, indire t,
in idental, or onsequential loss or damage under this
guarantee. This guarantee is in addition to and does not
affe t any rights, whi h the onsumer may have by
virtue of the Sale of Goods A t 1973 as amended 1975
and 1999.
STATUTORY RIGHTS
This guarantee is in addition to and in no way affe ts
your statutory rights.
PRODUCT DISPOSAL
When this produ t rea hes the end of it’s life or is
disposed of for any other reason, it must not be
disposed of in household waste. In order to preserve
natural resour es, and to minimise adverse
environmental impa t, please re y le or dispose of this
produ t in an environmentally friendly way. It should be
taken to your lo al waste re y ling entre or other
authorised olle tion and disposal fa ility.
If in doubt onsult your lo al waste authority for
information regarding available re y ling and / or
disposal options.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the instru tions with due are. Familiarize yourself
with the settings and proper operation of the ma hine.
Never allow hildren or other persons who are not
familiar with the operating instru tions to use the
ma hine.
Never use in the dire t vi inity of persons - espe ially
hildren - or animals.
Warning! Maintain a safety distan e of 15m. If
approa hed, swit h off the applian e immediately.
Always keep in mind that the ma hine operator or user
is responsible for a idents involving other persons
and/or their property.
Always wear sturdy, non-slip footwear and long
trousers when operating the ma hine. Never operate
the ma hine barefoot or in sandals.
Che k the grounds on whi h the ma hine will be used
and remove all obje ts that ould be aught up and
violently flung out.
Warning! Petrol is highly flammable!
Only store petrol in ontainers designed to hold
petroleum-based liquids.
Only refuel out in the open and do not smoke during the
refueling pro ess.
Always refuel before starting the engine. Do not open
fuel tank ap and do not refuel when the engine is
running or when the brush utter is hot.
If petrol has overflowed, do not under any
ir umstan es attempt to start the engine. Instead,
remove the ma hine from the affe ted area. Avoid
starting the engine until the petrol fumes have
ompletely evaporated.
For safety reasons, the petrol tank and other tank
losures must be repla ed if they are damaged.
Repla e defe tive exhausts.
Before using the petrol brush utter, visually inspe t it
to ensure that the mounting bolts and the entire utting
apparatus are in good working order (i.e. not worn out
or damaged).
To prevent any imbalan e, repla e worn out blades or
damaged mounting bolts as a set only (if appli able).
HANDLING
Wear lose fitting, tough work lothing that will provide
prote tion, su h as long sla ks or trousers, prote tive
footware, heavy duty work gloves, hard hat, a safety
fa e shield, or safety glasses for eye prote tion and a
good grade of ear defenders or other sound barriers for
hearing prote tion.
