Do not operate the equipment before studying the instruction manual and these safety
instructions.Makesure thatProfotoSafetyInstructionsisalwaysaccompaniedthe equipment!
Profoto products are intended for indoor conditions use. Do not place or use the equipment
whereit canbeexposed tomoisture,extremeelectromagneticfields,orin areaswith flammable
gases or dust! Do not expose the equipment to dripping or splashing. Do not expose the
equipmenttohastytemperaturechangesinhumidconditionsas thiscouldleadtocondensation
water in the unit. Equipment must only be serviced, modified or repaired by authorized and
competent service personnel.
Note about RF!
This equipment makes use ofthe radio spectrum and emits radio frequencyenergy.Make sure
the device is operated according to local regulations. The frequency spectrum this device is
using is shared with other users. Interference cannot be ruled out. Due to varying regulations
and limits on radio transmissions Profoto C1 Plus has a power output setting. Some countries
does not allow use of the full power mode, please refer to your country specific section in the
user guide to see the maximum allowed power setting allowed by national regulations. Please
notethatreducingthepoweroutputwillaffecttherangeofthe device.Regulations changefrom
time to time,so please make sure you are using the latest firmware and instructions to ensure
compliance with rules and regulations.These can be downloaded free from profoto.com.

ProfotoC1Plusisastudiolightforsmartphoneandothercameras.
Togetherwiththe ProfotoCamera,itenablesyoutocreateamazing
images anytime,anywhere.To get started, download the Profoto
Camerawhereyouusuallyfindapps,andsign uptoMyProfotoand
register your product. Then you are ready to get creative, shape
light and tell amazing stories through your images.

HowtooperateProfotoC1Plus
1. To turn on your Profoto C1 Plus,press and hold the capture
button [3] until the status indicator [2] lights up.
2. To connect Profoto C1 Plus to the Profoto Camera,do the
following:
a. Start the Profoto Camera onyour smartphone.
b. Switch on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
c. In the Profoto Camera,find and connect toyour Profoto
C1 Plus via Bluetooth.The Bluetooth name includes the
last fourdigits of the serial number(S/N),which is printed
on the Profoto C1 Plus.
3. To create images withyour smartphone using the Profoto
Camera:
a. Press the Capture button [3] fora perfectly exposed
subject popping from the background.
b. Use the Power buttons to fine-tune the light and
shadows [4].
c. Follow the guidance in the Profoto Camera foradditional
features.
d. To turn on/off the continuous light,press the continuous
light button [1].

4. To create images with a digital camera equipped with a
ProfotoAirRemote:
a. Turn on yourAir Remote to Auto/TTL.
b. Use the Profoto Camera to select the same channel on
the Profoto C1 Plus as on theAir remote.
c. Start creating images.
d. Foradditional features,followthe instructions in the
Profoto Camera’s Remote control.To gainfull benefits
fromyour products,also make sure to check the user
guideforyourAirRemote.
5. To turn offyourProfoto C1 Plus,press and hold the Capture
button [3].1
6. To charge the battery, connect a charger to the USB-C port
[5].2
7. To update the Profoto C1 Plus firmware,follow the
instructions in the Profoto Camera.Make sure to connect a
chargerto the Profoto C1 Plus USB-C port during update.
1 Profoto C1 Plus automatically switches of after 30 minutes of inactivity
if not connected to Profoto Camera.
2 Profoto C1 Plus can not be used while charging.
