SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install
the product.
1. Make sure that all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, the National
Electrical Code and ANSI/NFPA 70-199. Hire a qualied electrician or consult a do-it-yourself
wiring handbook if you are unfamiliar with installing electrical wiring.
2. WARNING: Risk of re -- most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wire rated for 60°F.
Consult a qualied electrician before installation.
3. TURN OFF ELECTRICITY at main fuse box (or circuit breaker box) before beginning installation
by switching circuit breaker off or removing fuse.
4. DO NOT connect this xture to an electrical system that does not provide a means for equipment
grounding. Never use a xture in a two-wire system that is not grounded.
5. WARNING: Installing a xture into an electrical system not having a proper grounding means
could allow all metal parts of the xture to carry electrical current if any of the xtures wires, wire
connections or splices become broken, cut, or loose. Anyone coming in contact with the xture is
subject to electrical shock, which could cause serious injury or death.
6. If you are not sure your lighting system has a grounding means, DO NOT attempt to install this
xture. Contact a qualied licensed electrician for information with regards to proper grounding
methods as required by the local electrical code in your area.
7. DO NOT connect the bare or green insulation xture ground wire to the black (HOT) current
carrying or white neutral house wire.
8. WARNING: Wire connectors will not support the weight of a xture. Suspending a xture by
the house wires and wire connectors will result in the xture falling, with the possibility of person
injury and the danger of electrical shock or re.
9. All xtures must be mounted to an outlet box that is supported by the building structure. DO
NOT attempt to support the xture by ceiling board alone. Ceiling board alone does not have the
strength to support the weight of the xture. The xture may fall and cause personal injury.
10. BE CAREFUL not to damage or cut the wire insulation (covering) during xture installation. DO
NOT permit wires to contact any surface having a sharp edge. To do so may damage or cut the
wire insulation which could cause serious injury or death from electrical shock.
11. DO NOT use lamps (bulbs) having a wattage greater than the maximum value stated on the
xture. The use of a higher wattage lamp(s) than specied will increase temperatures and cause
risk of re.
12. If a dimmer control switch is used with this xture, obtain professional advice to determine the
correct type and electrical rating required.

PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package
contents list and hardware contents above. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to
assembly the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts.
Estimated Assembly Time: 20 minutes
Tools required for Assembly (not included): Electrical Tape, Phillips Screwdriver, Pliers, Safety
Glasses, Step Ladder and Wire Strippers
Helpful tools (not included): AC Tester Light, Tape Measure, Wiring Handbook, and Wire Cutters
1. Turn off circuit breakers and wall switch to the xture
supply line leads.
2. Remove old xture. Disconnect wiring.
DANGER: Failure to disconnect power supply prior
to installation may result in serious injury or death.

Assembly Instructions
1. Tighten mounting screws (CC) two full turns into holes in
mounting strip (BB) from the side of the preassembled
green ground screw.
2. Attach mounting strip (BB) to outlet box (not included)
using two outlet box screws (DD).
Helping Hint:
If necessary, attach copper ground wire to grounded
outlet box.
3. Strip 5/8 in. of insulation from wire ends. Twist
stripped ends together with pliers (not included), black
to black (power) and white to white (neutral). Snip
ends. Thread copper wire and ground wire to green
ground screw on mounting strip (BB).

4. Attach wire nuts (AA). Tape wire nuts (AA) and wires
together. Carefully tuck wires into outlet box. 4

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (per xture)
5. Place ceiling plate (A) over outlet box. Position heads of
the mounting screws (CC) to protrude through the large
ends of key holes on the ceiling plate (A). Twist ceiling
plate (A) until heads of mounting screws (CC) slide into
narrow end of key holes. Tighten mounting screws (CC)
to secure ceiling plate (A) rmly to the ceiling.
6. Thread nipple (EE) into coupling (B), then use the
preassembled hex nut on nipple to tighten connection
using pliers.
Note: You may need to adjust the length of the the
threaded nipple (EE) to assure there is enough thread
exposed from center hole of the glass to install the cap
(HH).

8. Attach glass shade (D) to ceiling plate (A). Secure with
glass grommet (FF), hex nut (GG), cap (HH), and nial
(II), in that order.
7. Install 60-watt or less medium-base bulbs (not
included) into socket (C).

TROUBLESHOOTING
Troubleshooting
It is recommended the xtures be wiped down weekly using a soft, dry, or damp cloth.
DO NOT use any abrasives such as car wax, polishes, glass cleaners or chemicals, as this will
scratch/remove/damage the protective coating, allowing moisture and pollutants to come in contact
with the nish, which will result in discoloration and pitting.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE CARE INSTRUCTIONS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY OF
THE FIXTURE.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
Bulb won’t light.
1. Bulb is burnt out.
2. Power is off.

WARRANTY
The manufacturer warrants all of its lighting xtures against defects in materials and workmanship
for one (1) year from date of purchase. If within this period the product is found to be defective in
material of workmanship the product must be returned, with a copy of the bill of sale as proof of
purchase in the original carton to the place of purchase. The manufacturer will, at its option, repair,
replace , or refund the purchase price to the customer. All cost of installation and removal of the
xture is the responsibility of the customer. This warranty does not cover xtures becoming defective
due to misuse, accidental damage, improper handling and/ or installation and specically excluded
liability for direct, incidental or consequential damages. As some states do not allow exclusions of
limitations on an implied warranty, the above exclusion and limitation may not apply. This warranty
gives you specic rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
