Up
• Move up in a list
• Move the cursor left when entering text
• Increase numbers
• Move between letters and numbers in text
• On the Home screen: open the status menu
• Long Press jumps to the start of text or to the top of menus

• On the Home screen: opens the Messages menu
• When a number or contact is selected: sends a message to that number or contact
• Long press on the Home screen: creates a new message
• Sends a template-based message to someone calling you

Send
• Starts a call

• Reveals symbols list when entering text

• Press and hold in a call: puts the phone on mute
• Long press in message composer: selects emoticons
Hash • Changes input mode when entering text: switches between predictive, multi‑tap modes and numbers

Switching on Press and hold the Power button on the top of the phone.
Unlocking the keypad
The MP02 keypad is automatically locked after 30 secs by default (when it is locked, the screen will go
black). To unlock: short-press the Power button and then press the Punkt key.
To change the auto-lock setting:
• Press the Punkt key to access the main menu.
• Scroll down and select Settings.
• In Settings, select Preferences then Auto-lock and choose the preferred option.
Battery & signal levels
There are no permanent battery or signal indicators on the Home screen of the MP02. However, when
battery charge drops below 20% left a warning is shown. Similarly, if the signal is low this is indicated.
You can check battery and signal levels at any time by pressing the Up arrow key and accessing the
Status menu.
Setting a passcode
From the Home screen press the Punkt key to access the main menu.
• Select Settings and press the Punkt key.
• Select Security and press the Punkt key.
• Select Passcode and press the Punkt key.
Finding the WAP password for tethering
From the Home screen press the Punkt key to access the main menu.
• Select Settings and press the Punkt key.
• Select Tethering and press Punkt key.
• Select Password and press the Punkt key.
Importing contacts Contacts are imported in the vCard format (*.vcf)

The Importing from an Android or iOS device via Bluetooth
• Activate Bluetooth on the source device.
• Activate Bluetooth on the MP02:
• From the Home screen press the Up arrow key to access the Status menu.
o Scroll down to Bluetooth is Off.
o Press the Punkt key to turn Bluetooth On.
o Press the Back key to return to the Home screen.
• On the Android/iOS device:
o From the source device’s contacts application, select the contact (or all
contacts) to be shared from the source device’s contacts program.
o Select Share.
o Select send files via Bluetooth.
o Select MP02 from the list of devices shown.
• An ‘Incoming File <filename.vcf>’ notification will appear on the MP02:
o Select Accept.
o Press the Contacts key.
o Select Manage Contacts and press the Punkt key.
o Select Restore Contacts and press the Punkt key to view <filename.vcf>.
o Press the Punkt key and select Yes on Restore Contacts.
o Press the Punkt key to confirm.
• Your contacts are now imported to the MP02 Contacts.
• If desired, switch offBluetooth on both devices to save power.

Importing from a Mac or Windows PC via USB
If importing from a Mac, ensure that a Mac-to-Android file transfer application is
installed.
(e.g. https://www.android.com/filetransfer/).
• Connect the MP02 to the PC using the USB‑C cable provided.
• From the MP02’s Home screen press the Up arrow key to access the Status
menu.
• Under USB Connection, press the Punkt key to change from Charge only to
Sync mode.
Mac
• Open the appropriate program (Contacts, Outlook, Gmail, etc.) and select and
exportthecontact (or all contacts) invCardformat.
• Give the file a name (<filename.vcf>) and save it on the Desktop.
• Launch the Mac file transfer application (if it has not started automatically).
• Locate the Contacts folder. If the Contacts folder isn’t listed then create a new
folder at the root and name it Contacts: Android File Transfer: File > New Folder,
then type the name 'Contacts'.
• Copy the vCard file from the Mac to the MP02 Contacts folder.
• On the MP02:
o Go to Contacts > Manage Contacts > Restore Contacts <filename.vcf>.
o Select the vCard file <filename.vcf> that has just been transferred.
o Press the Punkt key to confirm. Your contacts will then be imported.
• Disconnect the MP02.

Windows
• Open the appropriate application (Outlook, Gmail, etc.) and select and
exportthecontact (or all contacts) invCardformat.
• Give the file a name <filename.vcf> and save it on the Windows Desktop.
• Locate the MP02’s storage area (PC\MP02\Internal shared storage\Contacts) and
open the Contacts folder
• Copy the vCard file from Windows Desktop to the MP02 Contacts folder.
• On the MP02:
o Go to Contacts > Manage Contacts > Restore Contacts<filename.vcf>.
o Select the vCard file <filename.vcf> that you have just transferred.
o Press the Punkt key to confirm. Your contacts will then be imported.
Updating the MP02’s firmware
It is not necessary to insert a SIM card to follow this procedure.
• Ensure the MP02 has sufficient charge (at least 50%).
• Unlock the phone.
• Press the Punkt key to access the main menu.
• Scroll to Settings and press the Punkt key again.
• Select and press Connectivity.
• Scroll down to and select Wi-Fi.
• Connect to an available network.
• Press the End key to return to the home page.
• Press the Punkt key.
• Scroll down to and select Settings.
• Scroll down to and select About.
• Scroll down to and select Firmware.
• Scroll to and select Check for update.
• The new software will be installed and the MP02 will be rebooted.
