Installation
requirements
It is essential
that
this applianceis
installed
correctly.Installation
shouldcomply
with electric
outlet

Before
Using/Connectingto Power
Supply:
Removeall
packaging
and any
protective
plastic
coating.
Onlyuse
urn on a
flat level
surfacethat
is
adequate
to
support
the weight
when full of water,and
keep
it
away
from the
edgeof
counters
to avoid
accident.
Do
not
place
the appliance
neara
hot gas
or electric
burner or near
any hot surfaces.
Close
supervision
is
necessary
when
any appliance
is
usedby or
near
children,

water urn outdoors.
If the supply cord is damaged,
it must be replaced
by
the manufacturer,
service agent or similar qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.

warm when

If the water urn breakdowns
or has been
damaged
in
any
manner,
return it to the nearest
authorized
service
facility for examination
and
repair.

Use:
Fill,
heat,and
discardthe
water twice
before
generaluse.
- Under
filling
may
cause
the thermal
cut-outto
operate
[and
may
shorten
the
elementlife).
HOW TO USE
1. Removeall
packaging
before
use.
2. Place
the drip tray on the base
underneath
the tap,
asshown in picture.
3. Twist lid anti clockwise.
Openthe lid and fill the urn
with the desired
amount of water.
Do not fill above
the MAX
capacity
mark.
4. Always put water in the urn before
switching on.
5. Plugthe
urn to the
main
socket.
6. Switch
ONthe
urn. The
red indicator
light
will
illuminate when water is heating.
After the water
has
boiled the urn will automatically
switch to keep
warm, and
the
green
indicator
light will illuminate
showing
that the
urn is
preservingheat.
7. Turn the temperature
control to the desired
setting.
This urn is not intended to continuously
boil water
dueto the hazards
of steamand
water escaping
from
under
the
lid.
B. Usethe
water faucet
to dispense
water. Openthe
tap
by pulling the tap lever to the horizontal position;
close
the tap by returning the lever to the vertical
position.
9. When about
three cupsof
water are
remainingin the
urn, turn the appliance off and unplug it from the
electric
outlet.

make
sure there is at leastminimal water in
the
urn to preventboil-dry.

BOIt-DRY
PROTECTION
To
prevent
accident
from boil-dry,the appliance
is
protected
with a
thermal limiter. If water in the tank
is
boiled dry,the limiter activatesand
the applianceturns
itself
off,although
the lamp will remain
on. If
the thermal
limiter is
activated,there
is
a manualreset
button
located
in the middle of the basebottom.Turn off unit. Letto cool.
Pressbutton to reset.
THERMAL
CUT-OUT
Theheating
elementis fitted
with a thermal cut-out,
which
protects
the urn from damagewhen continuousmisuse
of
the
urn is allowed
[boil
dry, switched
on
without water,
or
the appliance
exteriorhas
beenaccessiblewith water)
the
thermal cut-outwill stopthe appliance
from working.
Donot confuse
thermal cut-out
with boil-dry
protection.
Thermal
cut-outin the applianceis
a disposable
part.
Once
thermal cut-outis
triggered,the appliance
will be
impaired
and cannot
be usedagain.Therefore
the
appliance
shouldbe taken
to an authorizedagent
to
replace
the thermal
cut-out.A singlefusewill be replaced.
In rare instances,if
the heatingelementis
damaged,the
unit
must
bereplaced.
CLEANINGAND MAINTENANCE
ALWAYS TURN
OFFTHE POWER
SUPPLY,REMOVETHE PLUG
AND ALLOW
THE URNTO
COOL
BEFORE
CLEANING.

CLEANING
THE URN
- Always rinse the urn immediately after each
use'
- Pour a small amount of hot water into the tank.
Brush
sides
and
rinse
with hot water until clean.
- Cleaninterior with a soft brush.
Remove
any scale
or sediment
from the element
and
rinse thoroughly
with clean
water.
- Always remember to empty and rinse the urn with
hot water before
using
again.
- Removethe
cover
and
clean.
- Cleanthe exterior with water and detergent.
Do not
use harsh abrasive cleaners to avoid scratches'
Doing
sowill damage
the surface
finish.
- Usea soft
cloth
to wipe the urn body dry.
Descaling:
In hard water areas,
scalewill form on the element and
interior. This will adversely affect the operation of the
urn if allowed
to accumulate.
Descale
on a
regularbasis,
using a suitable descaler
recommended
for stainless
steel kettles. Follow the instructions provided with the
descaling
product.
