Thismanualisanintegralpartof pneumaticscissorsFP503 andmust becarefully

readbeforeusingitsinceitgivesimportantindicationswith regardstoitssafe

installation,useandmaintenance.Keepitwith care.

BeforeusingpneumaticscissorsFP503,readcarefullythefollowinggeneral

safetyrules.

•PACKAGING.

Aftertakingoffthepackagingmakesurethatthemachineisintact.Incaseof

doubtdonotusethemandcontactanauthorizedservicecentre.Donotleave

piecesofpackaging(plasticbags,foampolystyrene,boxes,etc.)withinthe

reachof childrenordisabledpersonssincetheyarepotentialsourcesofdanger.

•AVOIDDANGEROUSENVIRONMENTS.

•KEEPCHILDRENAWAY.

Unauthorizedpersons,inparticularchildren,must bekeptawayfromtheworking

area.

Alwaysusegoggles,protectivemetalmesh glovesapprovedbyRasor®during

useandmaintenanceoperations(accordingtoUNIEN388:2004standard).

•SPAREPARTS.

Duringmaintenanceandreplacementoperations useonlyoriginalspareparts.

Blademaintenancemust beonlyperformedbyRasor®technicians.

•INSTALLATION.

Anyinstallationthatisnot inconformitywiththesespecifications couldjeopardize

Thepneumaticscissorsaredeliveredinacarryingcase,insidewhichtherearevariousoptions.

Thecodeoftheorderedproductanditsserialnumberareindicatedoutsidethepackage(see

picture1).Thefollowingaccessories arecontainedinabaginsidethepackage(seepicture2):

1) Hexagonalblade(6sides);

2) Greasetube;

3) Hexagonalwrenchforgrindingwheelnuttightening;

4) Driftforbladedisassembly.

5) Lubricatingoil (15 ml);

6) Rubberhose.

3.PLATE DATA

Themanufacturer'sidentificationand2006/42/ECSTANDARDconformityplate(see picture

below) islocatedonthefrontpartof thepneumaticscissors.

The platemustnotbe removedatall,evenifthe machine isresold.Alwaysreferto

theserialnumber(writtenontheplateitself)whencontactingthemanufacturer.

Severalsafetywarningsareprintedonacardwhich isappliedto thescissors;suchwarnings

must bestrictlyfollowedbyeveryonedealingwith themachine. Thecompanyisnottobe

heldresponsiblefordamagetoproperty oraccidentstopeoplewhich might occur

iftheabove-mentionedwarnings arenotobserved. Insuch acase, theoperatoris

theonlypersonresponsible.

4. PRODUCTDESCRIPTION

ThismanualdescribespneumaticscissorsmodelFP503, whichareusedinorderto quickly

cutfabricsin thetextileindustryandothermaterials.Theyareextremelyversatile,lightand

preciseinthecuttingoperation.Thanksto theuseof anewfoot,thecuttingprocedureis

veryquick andeffective,evenwhenthebendingradius isparticularlynarrow.Onespecial

featureof pneumaticscissorsFP503 istheirabilityto sharpenthebladeineachmoment

withoutdisassemblingitbymeans of agrindingwheelmountedonthescissorshead.After

carryingoutthisoperation,itispossibleto startcuttingagain.Thepneumaticscissorsare

providedwithathreadedconnectionformanyairpipeline.Theturbine,perfectlybalanced,

withahighnumberof revolutions andtotallyfree of maintenance,reducesthevibrations and

thenoiseto theminimum.

Thepneumaticscissorscanbeusedalsooutdoorandto cutdamporwetmaterialsand

thereforeparticularlyrecommendedintannery,dyeworks,etc.ThepneumaticscissorsFP503

areextremelylight(theyweightonly790g) andhandyandallowcarryingoutquick and

precisecuts.Theuseof compressedairassourceof energyallowsworkingcontinuously

withoutproblemsof heatingormotoroverload.Themechanicalparts aremadeupof steel

andhighresistantbronzeandrequirealubricationaftermanyworkinghours.

Themaximum acousticpressurelevelemittedbypneumaticscissorsFP503 isabout60 dB

(A).Noisetests havebeen carriedoutincompliancewithStandardUNIENISO11202:2010.

Thedevicenoiselevels,measuredatdifferentdistances(withoutanysoundwavefiltering

system),varyin theextentof fewdb (A).Thenoiselevelhasbeen detectedwith thesilencer

suppliedwith thefixtureassembledon theexhaust.Thesilencermust neverberemoved.

NOTE

It isadvisableforpneumaticscissorsFP503 ownersto verifythecompliancewiththestandard

concerningsafetyof workers:Italianlegislativedecree 81/08. Theuseof earprotectingdevices

iscompulsory.

PneumaticscissorsFP503 havebeendesigned,manufacturedandassembledto cutfabricsor

technicalmaterials,withtheexceptionof metal,plasticorwood,bymeans of rotarycircular,

decagonalorhexagonalblades.

Thisequipmentmust not work:

-in areas proneto explosions;

-in presenceof finedustorcorrosivegases;

-to cutplastic,metalandwoodenmaterials.

Itisforbiddentousepneumatic scissorsFP503 for purposesdifferentfromthe

above-mentionedones.

We recommendfollowingtheindications belowinorderto alwaysworkinsafetyconditions.

·All theoperations must becarriedoutcomplyingstrictlywiththesafetyrulesof the

countrywherethemachineisto beinstalled.

·It is STRICTLY FORBIDDENto smokeduringtheinstallation oradjustmentoperations of

thepneumaticscissors.

·TheCustomerundertakesto complywithandmakehisstaff observeall therulesand

regulations inforceconcerningsafety,preventionof accidents andhealthinthework

place.Therefore,theCustomerassumestheresponsibilityto strictlyfollowall therules

andregulations inforce,aswell asthespecialprovisions inforceinsportandpublic

installations theCustomerdeclaresto knowafterreceivingall therelevantnecessary

information.

·Thepneumatic scissorswork evenwithout their safetyprotectivedevice.This

protectivedevicemustNEVERbe removed.

·Alwayscheck theresistanceof thematerialto becutandthekindof bladewhichisbeing

used.

·TheCustomershall equiphis own personnelwith all theindividualsafetyprotections for

theexecutionof theworks,aswell aswiththeoneswhichmightbeprescribedbythe

Manufacturerdueto specificdangerconditions of theplantorof thearea wherethe

personnelmust work.

·Onlyoneoperatormust usethepneumaticscissorsalwaysstandingbehindtheguide

handle.Donot makeanyadjustmentwhilethebladeisworking.

·Alwayspayattentionto thepositionof theairpipeto preventitfrombeingcutor

damagedbytheblade.

·It isallowedto assemblepneumaticscissorsFP503 onmachinesO.E.M.oncondition

thattheiroriginalstructureis not modified.Otherwise,theinterventionmust becertified

byRasor®.

·Thepneumaticscissors FP503 areequippedwithdoublesafetypush button withalever

andaratchetonthehandle:theratchetprevents thestartpush buttonfrombeing

enabledaccidentally,theleveroperatesthescissors.Neverremovetheratchet.

9. RESIDUALRISKS

10. USE

Eventhoughthepneumaticscissorsaresafe,operatorsmust payattentionto preservetheir

andotherpeople’ssafety.

LThecuttingbladecanworkevenwhentheprotectivedeviceisdisassembled.

Tousethepneumaticscissorsmanually,proceedasfollows:

1) Laythematerialto becuton thetable;

2) Connecttheairhoseto thequick connection“A”(not supplied) (see picture3);

3) Setthepressuregauge(option)to 6bar;

4) Putthematerialonthecuttingfoot(see picture4);

5) Push thestartingleveraftermovingthesafetydevice(see picture5);

6) Push thepneumaticscissorsinthedesireddirection,beingcarefulto keepthematerial

infrontof themasstretchedaspossibleandpreventingitfromcurlinginthefrontpart

of thescissors.

NOTE

Thethruston thepneumaticscissors must beas uniform as possible.Tocarryoutlinearcuts

withprecision(andtofollowpredeterminedpaths),wealsorecommendusingthearrow

point(see point“B” inpicture6).

11.AIRPRESSUREGAUGE(OPTION)

Thepneumaticscissorsmust benecessarilyfedwith

lubricatedairwithapressureof 4-6bar.

Rasor®offers,as option,areduction unitfilterwith a

pressuregaugealreadycalibratedwiththequantity

ofoil to bedelivered.

Theunitshowninpicture7ismadeupof:

1-pressurereducer;

2-valveto drain thecondensate;

3-drip-feedoilerunit;

4-oil tank;

5-pressuregauge;

6-condensatetank;

7-pipefittingtoconnectthequickconnectionto

thenetwork;

8-pipefittingto connectthequick connectionto thescissors.

Fortheuseandmaintenancereadtheinstructionsheetsuppliedwith thefilter.

12. BLADESHARPENING

Aftermanyhoursof acontinuativeuseof thepneumatic

scissorsoriftheyarenot ableto cutanymore,itisnecessary

to sharptheblade.

Tocarryoutthisoperation,startthebladeandpress emery

grindingwheel“2”onthesameone(bypressingsharpening

button “1”as shown inpicture8)for3-4seconds.Repeat

thisoperation2-3times.

Ifthesharpeningprocess shouldbeineffective,check the

wearof theemerygrindingwheel“3”(see picture9).If

wheel“3”istoo wornordirty,replaceitbyremovingthe

bladebymeans of thepropertool.
