Instruction
The contact-free voltage detector has been developed for voltage detecng on (insulated)
cables and conductors.
The voltage detectors do not re-quire maintenance. Power is sup-plied by two micro baer-
ies AAA, 1.5 Volt IEC LR 03 (included).
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth with household cleaner and wipe the surface by applying light pressure.
Do not use the tester ll it is completely dry.

WARNING
This instrucon manual contains both informaon and warnings that are necessary for the
safe opera-on and maintenance of the instrument. It is recommended that you read the
manual carefully and ensure that its contents are fully understood. Failure to understand
these instrucons and to comply with the warnings and instrucons contained herein can
result in serious injury or damage.
• The unit is indicated by a short illuminaon of the red LED in the p of the detector and
a short beep.
• The working frequency of the red LED and the buzzer are the same, and it is decided by
the electric eld which detected from detector. The higher electric eld is sensed, the
higher frequency indicates (1~10Hz).
• Contact-free voltage detecon 100 VAC~1000 VAC.
• Contact-free detecon of AC voltage on (insulated) cables and conductors.
• Locang line interrupons in (insulated) cables and conduct-ors. Phase tester of sockets.
• Phase determinaon of (3 phase) AC lines, mul core cable and wall sockets.
Features
Safety Measures
The instrument has le our factory in a safe and perfect condion. To maintain this con-
dion, the user must pay aenon to the safety references contained in this in-strucon
manual.
WARNING
Only touch the instrument handle for any voltage detecon. Do not touch the p of the
instrument while tesng.
WARNING
The instrument may only be used within operang ranges as specied in the technical data
secon.

4
WARNING
The instrument can only be used in properly grounded electrical installaons.
WARNING
Before use, check the instrument for damages. Do not use the tester if damages are detect-
ed.
WARNING
The detector must only be used under condions and for the pur-poses for which it has
been de-signed. Parcular aenon should be paid to the safety instrucons. The technical
specicaons relang to environ-mental condions and the use of the detector in dry
surroundings.
WARNING
The voltage detector is appropriate for AC voltages between 100 V and 1000 V. A perfect in-
strument funcon is only ensured within a temperature range of 0~+50C° ,<80% humidity.
WARNING
The signal during the voltage de-tecon does not provide any indi-caon of the type and
level of volt-age present. In case of doubt, measure the voltage by using a 2-pole test
instrument with display indicaon such as Voltest-B.
When tesng mains connected cables for interrupons the user must ensure that both
lines are connected once to phase (L). (turn shockproof plugs by 180°)

Components
DANGER
In order to avoid the danger of electrical shock, it is important that proper safety measures
are re-spected when working with volt-ages exceeding 100 VDC or 50 VAC.
These voltages represent interna-onally the limits of max. hazard-ous voltage.

Baery replacement
Unscrew the baery cover Remove discharged baeries and insert new by respecng the
correct polarity. Close the baery cover carefully.
WARNING
If the instrument is likely to remain unused for a long period it is advised to remove the
baeries. Please think of our environment when geng rid of used baeries. They should
be disposed in a place suitable for hazardous waste.
