Working Environment
1. The machine should be used in environments where conditions are dry with a max humidity level of
90%.
2. Ideal ambient temperature is between -10 degrees to +40 degrees centigrade.
3. Avoid welding in bright sunshine or wet conditions.
4. Do not use the machine in an environment where there is conductive dust or corrosiveness gas in the
atmosphere.
5. Avoid gas welding in an environment of strong airow.
Note: An additional isolator switch is recommended when using this machine Connection
1. Attach the wire onto the wire spool and feed the wire into the wire feed pipe.
Note: The wire roll should turn clockwise to prevent the wire from sliding or unravelling.
2. Adjust the thickness adjustment dial to the correct wire thickness
3. Connect the earth clamp to the negative terminal and attach to a conductive part of your weld surface.
Note: Ensure that power is disconnected before connecting the earth cable (-) to the machine. Ensure
the earth cable is securely connected.
4. Ground the unit by using the ground connecting screw at the back of the machine and connect to a
grounded metal point free from the weld surface.
5. Connect a gas tank with a CO2 decompression ow meter to rear of the machine via a gas pipe.
6. Plug in and switch on the unit, the screen will display the set current (amps).
7. Adjust welding Voltage using dial (4).
8. Set the wire speed using dial (5) as appropriate to welding requirements.
9. Press the trigger on the torch gun to feed out the wire to the tip.
10. Start your weld. Try to maintain a relatively constant tip-to-work distance and try to avoid touching
the gun tip on the weld surface.

Health and Safety
Warning - Risk of injury. Pay
special attention
Caution - Be aware of potential risks /
hazards
Arc radiation can be harmful to your eyes and can burn your skin.
If you fail to fully understand this manual you should contact the suppliers or another
professional for assistance
• Safety cut out - the welding machine has a safety circuit to protect against excess power, current or
heat. This circuit will cause the welding machine to cut out automatically if activated. The fans will
continue to cool the unit.
• Machine air ow - the internal fan requires a free ow of air. Ensure the intake is not blocked or
covered.
• Do not overload - overloaded input current will impair the performance and may seriously damage the
machine.
• Grounding - the welding machine must be grounded by means of the grounding connector at the rear
of the machine, tted to ground as per the required standard.
• Cleaning - before cleaning, the power must be turned off and disconnected from the mains. All
cleaning should be carried out by a qualied professional.
Electric shock - may lead to death.
• It is dangerous to touch the electrical components.
• Wear welding gloves, ear, eye, face protection and clothing / ensure others nearby are protected.
• Use suitable protective equipment or curtain to protect any on-lookers and warn al onlookers about
the possible risk to their eyes.
• Make sure you are well insulated from the ground.
• Gas may be harmful to your health, do not inhale the gas, use an extractor.
• Welding sparks may cause re, make sure the welding area is re safe.
Remove dust using low pressure compressed air to avoid damage to fragile
components inside the machine.

Troubleshooting
Fittings, welding materials and environmental factors may affect the quality of your welding. This guide
will help you to ensure your setup is just right to achieve the perfect weld.
Oxidisation occurring during weld
• Check that your Argon cylinder is open and pressurised to a minimum of 0.5Mpa.
• Check that the ow meter is open and it has enough ow. You can select the ow according to
the welding current. Insufcient ow may cause oxidisation, a minimum of 5 litres per minute is
recommended.
• Check the torch to ensure that it’s not blocked.
• Check that the gas supply is fully air tight.
Hard to strike / maintain an arc
• Ensure you are using a high quality tungsten electrode.
• Grind the end of the tungsten electrode to a taper. If the tungsten electrode is not ground, it will be
difcult to strike arc or the arc may be unstable.
There is no power to the unit / no response from the unit
• Ensure that the electric cable is in good condition and connected correctly. Faulty cables must not be
used, they should be replaced by a qualied professional.
The HF arc-striking sound can be heard but there is no welding output
• Check the torch and ground cables to ensure that they are connected correctly and they are not
damaged. Faulty cables must not be used, they should be replaced by a qualied professional.
• Check that the grounding cable is making good contact with the welding object.
• Check the end of the tungsten electrode to see if it needs to be ground down to a taper. Electrodes that
have become contaminated need to be ground down.
Unit producing untidy welds
• Ensure the feed speed is not too fast and that the protruding wire is not too long.
• Ensure that the amp output is not too high.
