"RFID Safe"
!!ATTENTION: Please read these operating instructions carefully before using the electronic lock or
set a new number combination. We accept no liability for any malfunction due to faulty changeover,
use of force or improper handling nor for property damage or pecuniary loss, which may occur ,for
example, due to the improper closing of the safe.
Your Safe Modell "RFID Safe" can be opened with a master code, a guest code, an RFID-
enabled card or with one of the two emergency opening keys provided.
Each key when pressed is acknowledged with an acoustic signal.
An incorrect entry can be corrected by pressing the "CLEAR" key.
If it is desired that the code entered (master or guest code) not to be displayed on the screen
when entered, press the "0" key followed by the "LOCK" key before entering the code. On the
screen it will be displayed the „ “ symbol instead of the number that is pressed.
It is not recommended to use non-alkaline batteries.
The safe comes with the master code 8-8-8-8-8-8, and for security reasons we recommend that you
change the factory master code to a personal master code immediately.
1. GETTING STARTED:
a. Remove the cover of the emergency opening lock situated on the right side of the fitting by
sliding it to the right.
b. Insert one of the two supplied emergency opening keys into the lock.
c. Turn the key to the left.
d. Open the door.
e. Turn the key back to its original position and remove it.
f. Remove the safety screw from the battery compartment cover from the inside of the door.
g. Remove the cover from the battery compartment.
h. Insert four 1.5 volt AA alkaline batteries (pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting
the batteries).
i. The display shows "SECUrE" followed by "-GOOd-" –now the safe is ready to be used.
j. Close the battery compartment.
k. Carry on the first opening using the factory master code (see section 8 "Opening with master
code").
2. ERROR ENTRY
If you enter the wrong code or attempt to open the safe with a RFID-enabled card that does not have
access to your safe, a five-time acoustic signal will sound and the message "ERROR" will appear on
the display.
3. BLOCKING PERIOD AFTER AN ERROR
If an incorrect code has been entered four times or you attempted to open the safe with an
unauthorized RFID card, there will be a blocking period for 15 minutes ,during which no entry is
possible. If a key access code is entered during the blocking period, the message "HOLdI5" appears
on the display and the remaining blocking time is counted down until it expires. This blocking period
can be canceled by briefly removing the batteries.
4. BATTERY CHANGE (If the display becomes faint or unreadable, or if opening is no longer
possible, you should immediately replace the batteries).
a. If necessary, open the safe using the emergency opening key (see section 11 - Opening with
the emergency key).
b. Remove the safety screw from the battery compartment cover from the inside of the door.
c. Remove the cover from the battery compartment.
d. Remove the old batteries.
e. Insert new batteries (alkaline) - pay attention to the correct polarity.
f. Close the battery compartment.
ATTENTION after a battery change, the stored codes (master code, guest code) and the RFID- cards
remain saved.
5. CHANGING THE MASTER CODE (The master code you have set will be saved when the battery
is changed)
a. With the door open and unlocked, press the "CLEAR" key twice.
b. The display will show "PRGO".
c. Enter the current master code (at delivery it is 8-8-8-8-8-8).
d. The display shows "NEU".
e. Enter the desired master code (6 digits).
f. The display will show "AGAIN".
g. Repeat the desired master code (6 digits).
h. If "dONE" appears on the display, the master code is successfully changed.
ATTENTION If the "ERROR" message appears on the display during the opening, re-start the
process from point 5.a.
6. OPENING WITH THE MASTER CODE
a. Enter the current master code (at delivery 8-8-8-8-8-8).
b. During the opening process the "OPEN" message appears on the display.
c. After opening, the "OPENEd" message appears on the display.
ATTENTION If the "ERROR" message appears on the display during the opening, start the opening
process using the master code you have previously set (see point 6.a).
7. CLOSING THE SAFE USING THE GUEST CODE
a. Close the door and enter the desired guest code (three to six digits).
b. The entered code is shown on the display.
c. Confirm the entry by pressing the "LOCK" key.
d. The safe is automatically locked and the display shows "CLOSE".
e. After closing correctly, the display shows "CLOSEd" and the code that you selected is
displayed on the screen.
f. If the safe is not correctly closed the message"ERROR2" appears on the display.
g. Make sure that the door is completely closed and start again the closing process as described
at point 7.a.
8. OPENING THE SAFE USING THE GUEST CODE
a. With the door closed or the bolt mechanism extended, enter the guest code that you
previously set (three, four, five or six digits).
b. During the opening process the "OPEN" message appears on the display.
c. After opening, "OPENEd" appears on the display.
ATTENTION If the "ERROR" message appears on the display during the opening , start the opening
process using the master code you have previously set (see point 8.a.)
9. CLOSING THE SAFE USING THE RFID ENABLED CARD
a. Close the door and hold an RFID enabled card on the RFID symbol situated on the right of
the keyboard.
b. The safe is automatically locked and the display shows "CLOSE".
c. After closing correctly, the display shows "CLOSEd".
d. If a correct closing is not possible, the message "ERROR2" appears on the display.
e. Make sure that the door is completely closed and start again the closing process following the
instructions from the point 9.a.
10. OPENING THE SAFE USING THE RFID ENABLED CARD
a. With the door closed or the bolt mechanism extended, hold an RFID enabled card into the
fitting between the keypad and the emergency opening lock cover that you locked with.
b. During the opening process "OPEN" appears on the display.
c. After the safe has been opened, "OPENEd" appears on the display.
d. ATTENTION If the "ERROR" message appears on the display during the opening , start the
opening process described at point 10.a using the RFID enabled-card.
11. OPENING WITH THE EMERGENCY OPENING KEY
a. Remove the cover of the emergency opening lock situated on the right side of the fitting by
sliding it to the right.
b. Insert one of the two supplied emergency opening keys into the lock.
c. Turn the key to the left.
d. If the battery voltage is sufficient, "OPENEd" is displayed and the safe is open.
e. To remove the key you have to turn the key back to the starting position –the safe is closed
again.
