Decorative ﬁreplace Bergen

Read the user manual carefully to make sure that the product is assembled, used and

maintained correctly, as described in the instructions in this user manual. Keep the user

manual for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use.

• Use of an earth fault breaker is recommended.

• The ﬁreplace may give o an odour when it is used for the ﬁrst time.

This is normal and the odour disappears after the ﬁrst use.

• After unpacking, make sure that no plastic parts were left behind.

• Do not use the ﬁreplace before the safety legs (included) are assembled

to the ﬁreplace.

• Risk for electric shock. Do not disassemble the ﬁreplace. There are no

parts on the ﬁreplace that the user can repair him-/herself.

• Take the high temperature into account. Power cords, curtains, furniture

and other easily ﬂammable materials must be kept at least 1 m away

from the front and sides of the ﬁreplace.

• Do not touch the hot parts of the ﬁreplace and use the handles when

moving the ﬁreplace. Do not touch the glass panel when the ﬁre is lit.

• Always pull the plug out of the electrical outlet when you clean the

ﬁreplace, before you move it or when it is not in use.

• Be especially attentive when there are children near the ﬁreplace.

• Do not use the ﬁreplace if the electric cord, plug or ﬁreplace is damaged.

Send the ﬁreplace to an authorised service workshop for repair.

• Do not use the ﬁreplace outdoors.

• The ﬁreplace may not be used in a bathroom, laundry room or other

damp environments. Position the ﬁreplace so that it cannot fall over

into a bathtub or other water reservoir.

• Do not route the electric cord under rugs. Do not place any heavy objects

on the electric cord. Position the electric cord in such a way that no

one can trip over it.

• Turn o the ﬁreplace before you unplug the electric cord.

• The ﬁreplace may only be connected to an earthed electrical outlet.

• The light that is visible below the ﬁre and on the sides comes from the

ventilation openings. Never block these openings or insert objects in them.

There is a risk for electric shock, ﬁre or that the ﬁreplace is damaged.

• Do not place the ﬁreplace on soft and unstable surfaces or in locations

where the ventilation openings can be blocked.

• Sparks from inside the ﬁreplace. Therefore do not place the ﬁreplace

near easily ﬂammable materials, such as petrol or paint.

• Use the ﬁreplace as described in the user’s manual. Improper use can

cause electric shock, ﬁre or personal injury.

• Do not use an extension cord. The extension cord can become over-

heated and ﬁre, electric shock or personal injury can occur.

• Store the ﬁreplace in a dry and secure location where it cannot be

damaged.

• The three-dimensional ﬂames are created using a motor, which has

low noise emissions resulting from its rotation. The noise level varies

depending on the amount of furniture in the room.

• Do not connect the ﬁreplace to an electrical outlet with a remote control

or dimmer function.

• Do not connect any other devices to the electrical outlet where the

ﬁreplace is connected.

• Please don’t move the ﬁreplace when it is in use.

• The ﬁreplace is not intended for use by people (including children) with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who have limited

experience and knowledge unless they are supervised or instructed on

how to use the ﬁreplace by a person who is responsible for their safety.

• Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the ﬁreplace.

lead to serious personal injury or property damage.

INTRODUCTION

• Before using your new heater, please carefully read through the following

instructions. Keep this booklet in a safe place for future reference.

• After removing the packaging, make sure that the appliance is in good condition.

• Do not allow children to play with the packaging materials, as there is risk of

suocation.

BEFORE USE – LEG ASSEMBLY

Warning: Do not use this heater unless the legs are securely attached.

ASSEMBLY

1. Before assembling the legs, place the heater upside down on a stable, scratch-free

surface.

2. Hold one leg against the bottom of the heater

so that the holes on the legs ﬁt into the holes on

the heater.

3. Attach the leg to the heater using the screw

provided.

4. Repeat the above steps to attach the other legs.

OPERATION

1. Keep the unit on a ﬂat, stable surface away from obstacles. For safety reasons, keep

all objects at least 150 cm from the front, and 50 cm from the sides and rear of the

appliance.

2. Connect the appliance to a power socket of the same rating as speciﬁed on the unit’s

rating label (or see technical speciﬁcations).

3. Set the main power switch to the on (I) position.

4. Press the power button to turn on the unit. The ﬂame-simulation lighting turns on

at maximum brightness. The display screen shows the default temperature of 25°C.

The display screen ﬂashes. Press the UP or DOWN button to adjust the temperature.

The adjustable temperature range is 15-36°C. Press the UP or DOWN button once to

increase or reduce the temperature by 1°C. When the room temperature is higher

than the default temperature of 36°C, the heating functions cannot come on. When

the room temperature is lower than the default temperature of 36°C, the heating

functions can come on.

5. Press the dimmer button repeatedly to reduce the brightness and ﬂame-simulation.

There are ﬁve dimmer button settings.

6. Press the heat button to turn on the heating function. There are two heat settings:

• Press once for high heat (1800W). The high heating indicator lights up.

• Press again for low heat (900W). The low heating indicator lights up.

Press the heat button a third time to turn o the heating function.

7. Press the Timer button. The timer appears on the display screen. Press UP or DOWN

to adjust the time you need the heater to turn on. After 5 seconds the timer stops

ﬂashing and the timer will auto lock. When you hold the UP or DOWN button, the time

will continuously increase or reduce. Hold the UP or DOWN button until the screen

shows “0:0H” to cancel the timer. The timer range is 0-12 h.

8. Press the power button to switch the unit to standby.

9. Set the main power switch to the o (O) position.

NOTES

1. Within a given temperature range 15-36°C, when the room temperature is higher

than 36°C, the unit will stop heating. Once the temperature drops below 36°C, it will

resume heating.

2. If the temperature inductor is damaged, the unit will stop heating. The screen dis-

plays “E2” 5 times and beeps 3 times.

3. After setting the temperature, press the POWER button. The unit turns o. Press the

POWER button again. The unit will show the previously set temperature.

4. When the unit is turned on, if there is no operation within 12 seconds, the screen and

indicators will switch o. Press any button on the control panel or remote control and

the screen will return to the room temperature.

CHILD LOCK FUNCTION

1. Hold the UP and DOWN buttons for 2.5 seconds. This locks all the operations to pre-

vent children accidentally operating the unit. The screen will show “L” after ﬂashing 5

times and will then return to the room temperature.

2. Hold the UP and DOWN buttons for 2.5 seconds to unlock all the operations.

REMOTE CONTROL

• The remote control uses 1 x CR2025 button cell battery (included). Please remove the

plastic tab before ﬁrst use. Please see the following section on opening the battery

compartment to replace the battery.

• The remote control buttons have the same functions as that of the control panel.

Note: The remote control must be used within 8 metres of the unit and be pointed at the

front centre of the unit.

SAFETY FEATURES

OVERHEAT PROTECTION

The heater has a built-in safety device that will switch the heater o in case of accidental

overheating. If this happens:

• Set the main power switch to the o (O) position. Unplug the heater and wait 5-10

minutes for the unit to cool down.

• After the unit has cooled, plug it in and operate as normal.

Note: Make sure that the safety gaps are maintained around the unit.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Caution: Press the power button to switch the unit to standby and set the main power

switch to the o (O) position to turn o the unit completely. Now unplug and allow the

heater to cool down completely before doing any cleaning or maintenance.

• Clean the air vents regularly with a vacuum cleaner (with regular use at least twice a

year).

• Do not use abrasive products or solvents to clean the appliance.

• For cleaning, use a soft, moist rag and mild detergent (only on the exterior of the unit).

Do not use an abrasive cloth or devices which could aect the appearance of the appli-

ance. Do not let water enter any openings.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

If you do not plan to use the heater for extended periods of time, it is recommended that

it is cleaned and stored (preferably in its original packaging) in a cool, dry place.

Warning: Please do not attempt to open or repair the heater yourself. Doing so could void

the warranty and cause damage or personal injury.

RIGHT OF COMPLAINT

By law the product must be returned to the place of purchase along with the original

receipt in the event of a complaint. The user is liable for any damage to the product that

is caused by not using the product for its intended purpose or by not following this user

manual correctly. The right of complaint will not apply in these instances.

INFORMATION ABOUT HAZARDOUS WASTE

Used products should be handled separately from

household waste. They should be taken for recycling in

accordance with local rules for waste management.

SÄKERHETSFÖRESKRIFTER

• Brasan kan lukta lite när den sätts på första gången. Det är helt normalt

och lukten försvinner efter första användning.

• Kontrollera efter uppackningen att inga plastdelar har lämnats kvar.

• Använd inte brasan innan stativbenen (medföljer) är monterade på brasan.

• Risk för elstöt. Montera inte isär brasan. Det ﬁnns inga delar i brasan

som användaren kan reparera själv.

• Tänk på den höga temperaturen. Elkabel, gardiner, möbler och andra

lättantändliga material måste placeras minst 1m från brasans fram-

sida och sidor.

• Rör inte vid brasans heta delar. Använd handtagen när du ﬂyttar brasan.

Rör inte vid glasrutan när brasan är påslagen.

• Dra alltid ut stickproppen ur eluttaget innan du rengör brasan, innan

du ﬂyttar den eller när den inte används.

• Var särskilt uppmärksam när det ﬁnns barn i brasans närhet.

• Använd inte brasan om elkabeln, stickproppen eller brasan är skadad.

Lämna brasan till en auktoriserad serviceverkstad för reparation.

• Använd inte brasan utomhus.

• Brasan får inte användas i badrum, tvättstuga eller andra fuktiga miljöer.

Placera brasan så att den inte kan ramla omkull i ett badkar eller annan

vattenbehållare.

• Lägg inte elkabeln under mattan. Ställ inga föremål på elkabeln. Placera

elkabeln på en plats där ingen kan snubbla på den.

• Stäng av brasan innan du drar ut stickproppen ur eluttaget.

• Brasan måste anslutas till ett jordat eluttag.

• Ljuset som syns på brasans undersida och på sidor kommer från venti-

lationsöppningarna. Blockera aldrig dessa öppningar eller stoppa inga

föremål i dem. Det ﬁnns risk för elstöt, brand eller att brasan skadas.

• Ställ inte brasan på mjuka och ostadiga underlag eller på platser där

ventilationsöppningarna kan bli blockerade.

• Det bildas gnistor inne i brasan. Placera därför inte brasan i närheten

av lättantändliga ämnen, t.ex. bensin eller målarfärg.

• Använd brasan enligt beskrivning i bruksanvisningen. Felaktig använd-

ning kan orsaka elstöt, brand eller personskada.

• Använd inte förlängningskabel. Förlängningskabeln kan bli överhettad

och brand kan uppstå.

• Förvara brasan på en torr och säker plats där den inte kan skadas.

• De tredimensionella lågorna i brasan skapas med hjälp av en motor

som avger ett visst ljud när den roterar. Ljudstyrkan varierar beroende

på hur mycket möbler som ﬁnns i rummet.

• Anslut inte brasan till eluttag med fjärrstyrning eller med dimmerfunktion.

• Anslut inga apparater till samma eluttag som brasan är ansluten till.

• Flytta aldrig dekorationsbrasan under användning.

• Brasan är inte avsedd att användas av personer (inklusive barn) med

nedsatt fysisk, sensorisk eller mental förmåga eller bristfällig erfarenhet

och kunskap, såvida de inte övervakas eller får instruktioner angående

hur brasan ska användas av en person som ansvarar för deras säkerhet.

• Barn måste övervakas för att säkerställa att de inte leker med brasan.
