1. Introduction

These instructions should be retained for future reference.

The siren is an accessory for SafeHome Wireless Alarm System W300S or W500S V2.

The siren is mounted inside or outside under an overhang on the building in a highly vis-

ible position, providing a permanent visual deterrent to intruders.

It’s alarm duration is adjustable. The user may choose the alarm to sound from 1 to 10

minutes when it triggered.

2. Installation

Check the house code panel in your SafeHome Alarm System and the remaining sensors

/ switches are set to. See Section 4 for setting the system’s house code.

Be sure the siren is mounted within within range of the SafeHome Alarm Smart Panel

(Please test before proceeding with installation). The siren is mounted as follows:

• With a screwdriver remove the screw at the bottom of the siren.

• Separate the front and back.

• Install new batteries - noting their polarity.

(battery type: 4 x Alkaline Type D, LR20 (not included).

There may alternatively be connected to a 9V, 300mA power supply. (Not included).

• Set the house security code same as the Smart Panel by moving the “house security

code programming” switches (refer to section 4 House Security Code Settings sec-

tion”)

• Set the time for how long the siren will sound and ash.

You can choose between 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes (contact 1M, 3M, 5M or 10M).

(At least choose 1 option)

• Turn the power swich to ON - all blue lights will ON indicating the tamper protection

is disabled.

• Press the learn button to enrol the alarm to SafeHome Security System.

• Completing the remote’s enrollment by pressing button on the remote of Safe-

Home Security System. The bell box beeps and ashes once enrollment succes-

seded.

• Press the learn button to complete the enrollment.

• The siren is now ready to mount on the wall.

• Connect multiple remote controls if desired.

Mounting on the wall

The siren is equipped with two tamper protections.

1. The spring on the back to stop any of that siren unnoticed can be removed from the

wall. If the spring is released, triggered the siren.

2. Screw at the bottom. This prevents the batteries can be removed. Loosen the screw

triggered the siren.

Before mounting it is important to disable the tamper protection to avoid the bell box

sounding an alarm.

It is turned off when all the blue LED light on the siren lights.

If not, disable the siren using the alarm system remote control.

Pressing buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds.

The siren is now off for 1 hour.

• Ensure that the tamper lock is fully depressed when the siren tted

- if there is unevenness in the wall so it is not pressed all the

way in, there must be a suitable material between the wall

and protection, so the protection spring is pressed down.

• Use the covers supplied screws and plugs

to mount the backplate.

• Set the siren onto the backplate.

• Attach the front panel with the screw at the bottom.

Activate the siren

• Press the button for 2 seconds to deactivate the siren “battery change” mode.

The blue light will turn off and the red LED light will ash every 10 second.

Now siren activated.

• The siren will now begin to howl within 3 seconds after it receives an alarm signal

from the house alarm panel.

The system can be tested by pressing the remote control “Panic” button. Be prepared to

turn off the alarm quickly.

If the siren not begins to sound, it must be checked that:

• house code is the same for the siren and the rest of the alarm system.

• The siren no longer in “battery change” mode.

• The siren is at a distance from the alarm system panel where it can receive the

signal.

If the siren is removed from the wall without being turned off, it will immediately begin to

sound.

When the batteries are running low, the LED indicator will ash every second.

3. Replacing the batteries

Always use alkaline batteries as replacements because any other battery can cause prob-

lems. Typical life of batteries is two years.

Ensure the correct steps are taken when changing batteries:

• Switch off the tamper protection by pressing

buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds.

The siren is now off for 1 hour.

• Remove the siren box cover and switch off the siren power.

• Remove the used batteries and replace them with 4 x fresh alkaline ‘D’ cells.

• Switch on the siren power and check that the siren beeps and ashes.

• Fix the siren cover with the securing screw.

• Press the button at the same time for 2 seconds to exit change battery

mode and to activate the siren (All blue light will OFF and the Red light will start

blinking slowly). Your siren is now activated.

4. Setting the system house code

You can change the house security code on each sensor, smart panel and other modules

of your security system to avoid interference with other systems.

In most cases you will NOT need to change the factory settings of the house security

code. If the Smart Panel and sensors activate intermittently or do not work at all, you

may be able to solve the problem by changing the house security codes on all system

modules.

There are 4 jumpers/dip-switches on each device. Remove the battery compartment

cover, then pull out the Jumper to change the house security code setting and make sure

the jumpers on the Smart Panel, sensors and remotes match exactly.

5. Lost of Remote

IIn case you lost the Key Fob Remote of the Smart Panel, follow below step to delete the

remote from the bell box.

WARNING!

The siren is very loud, be prepared! Wear protective ear plugs and take care.

• You are not able to disable the tamper protection without the Remote that you lost.

• You can only open the cover of bell box during the siren.

• Press & hold the LEARN button for 5 seconds to reset the bell box. All blue lights will

ON indicating the tamper protection is disabled. Your bell box is now reset.

• Follow the instructions on the new remote to connect it to the alarm system.

• Repeat Section 2, to re-connect the siren to the alarm system and the new controller.

6. Maintenance

The product may be cleaned with a soft damp cloth and then wiped dry. Do not use abra-

sive, solvent based or aerosol cleaners as this may damage and/or discolour the product.

Do not allow water to enter or attempt to clean inside the unit.

7. Alarm System Limitations

Even the most advanced alarm systems cannot guarantee 100% protection against bur-

glary or environmental problems. All alarm systems are subject to possible compromise

or failure-to-warn for a variety of reasons.

Please note that you may encounter problems with your system if:

• The alarm is not located within earshot or sensors are located outside of the control

panel wireless range.

• The sensors are not located as indicated in the instructions.

• The sensors is of power or is disconnected.

8. Warning

The siren makes a very loud sound. It is recommended to use ear protection when work-

ing with it.

1. Introduktion

Disse instruktioner bør gemmes til senere brug.

Sirenen er tilbehør til SafeHome Trådløst Alarm system W300S eller W500S V2.

Sirenen monteres inden- eller udenfor under et udhæng på bygningen på et synligt sted,

og fungerer derved permanent præventivt.

Når alarmen udløses, vil sirenen lyde og lyset blinke i den forudindstillede periode.

2. Installering

Tjek hvilken huskode panelet i dit SafeHome Alarm system og de resterende sensorer/

kontakter er indstillet til. Se afsnit 4 for indstilling af systemets huskode.

Vær sikker på at sirenen monteres inden for trådløs rækkevidde til panelet, så det trådløse

signal rækker mellem enhederne. Sirenen monteres således:

• Med en stjerneskruetrækker fjernes skruen i bunden af sirenen.

• Adskil for og bagside.

• Isæt nye batterier – vær opmærksom på at batterierne vendes korrekt.

(Batteritype: 4 x Alkaline Type D, LR20 (medfølger ikke).

Der kan alternativt tilkobles en 9V, 300 mA strømforsyning. (medfølger ikke).

• Indstil sirenens huskode til det samme som SafeHome Alarm Panelet (se afsnittet:

Huskoden ændres således)

• Sæt tiden for, hvor lang tid sirenen skal lyde og blinke.

Der kan vælges mellem 1, 3, 5 eller 10 minutter (kontakt 1M, 3M, 5M eller 10M).

Der skal vælges en af tiderne.

• Tænd på tænd/sluk knappen - alle blå lys vil lyse, for at indikere, at hærværksalar-

men er slået fra.

• Tryk på “Learn” knappen, for at tilslutte sirenen husets alarmsystem.

• Tryk på knappen på alarmsystemets fjernkontrol. Sirenen kommer med et beep

for at indikere, at tilslutningen husets alarmsystem er lykkedes.

• Tryk på “Learn” knappen for af afslutte programmeringen.

• Sirenen er nu klar til at montere på væggen.

• Der kan tilsluttes ere fjernkontroller hvis ønsket.
