ELECTRONIC CODE LOCK – UR4020
Important information:
•Before the lock is used, read through the manual carefully.
•When you enter the code, cover the keypad so no unauthorized person can see the code.
•Every code must be kept safe. Try to use different numbers throughout the keypad and
avoid using personal information like birthdays etc.
•Remember your code – it is not possible to reset the lock if the code were to disappear!
•When programming code; keep the cabinet door open and the handle in locked position.
•After programming code; try the new code multiple times before you close the door.
•When closing cabinet, always make sure the cabinet is locked.
•The lock is powered by a 9-volt battery, only use alkaline high-quality batteries.
•If the lock does not open after correctly dialled code, the battery is probably too weak.
(See power supply/battery change below).
•We recommend to always have a spare battery accessible.
Features of the lock:
•This lock has up to two users, so called master code and user code. Both the master- and user code is
always 6 numbers. When the cabinet is delivered, only the master code is activated.
•Both the master- and user code can open the cabinet.
•The master code “decides” everything and can add/delete the user code without knowing the code. The
user code can only change its own code.
•The lock can be programmed with time delay (1-99 min) and opening period (1-19 min). If activation of
this function is desired, contact us.
•The lock has a tamper lock, which means that if four incorrect codes are entered, the lock is
locked/blocked for 5 minutes. During the blocking time, the diode on the keypad flashes every
10 second and each press causes a long signal regardless of which key is pressed. After the blocking
time, if you enter two incorrect codes a new blocking time will start.
•When the battery level is low, the lock warns by repeated short beeps after opening. It can also be
shown by the handle not being able to be lowered at the time of opening, despite the correctly
entered code.
•Then change the battery.
To open the lock/cabinet:
1. Check that the handle is in its normal position i.e., turned as high as possible.
2. Enter the current code (the factory code is 1-2-3-4-5-6). The lock confirms with a double signal.
3. Turn the handle down to the open position.
To close the lock/cabinet:
1. Check that the handle is in the open position and close the door.
2. Raise the handle to the locked position.
3. Check that the cabinet is locked by trying to lower the handle to the open position.

To change code (master- and user code when user code is activated)
1. Open the door and turn the handle up, so the handle is in the locked position.
2. Press and hold button 0 until the lock confirms with a double signal.
(The diode begins to shine with a solid light.)
3. Press the old/current code. (The lock confirms with a double signal.)
4. Enter the new 6-digit code. (The lock confirms with a double signal.)
5. Enter the new 6-digit code again.
(The lock confirms with a double signal and the diode will turn off.)
If an error occurs, a long signal is heard instead of a double signal between various steps. After the long signal,
the diode will turn off and the old code will remain current.
If the diode has time to turn off at any step above, it has taken too long. The old code then remains current.
To activate the other code (user code)
1. Open the door and turn the handle up, so the handle is in the locked position.
2. Press and hold button 1 until the lock confirms with a double signal.
(The diode begins to shine with a solid light.)
3. 3. Enter the current master code. (The lock confirms with a double signal.)
4. Press in the 6-digit user code. (The lock confirms with a double signal.)
5. Enter the 6-digit user code again.
(The lock confirms with a double signal and the diode will turn off.)
If an error occurs, a long signal is heard instead of a double signal between various steps. The diode will turn off
after the long signal and the activation failed.
If the diode has time to turn off at any step above, it has taken too long. Even then the activation has failed.
Once the user code is activated, it is changed according to the instructions above.
To remove the second code (user code):
1. Open the door and turn the handle up, so the handle is in the locked position.
2. Press and hold button 3 until the lock confirms with a double signal.
(The diode begins to shine with a solid light.)
3. Enter the current master code.
(The lock confirms with a double signal and the diode will turn off.)
If an error occurs, a long signal is heard instead of a double signal between various steps. After the long signal,
the diode will turn off and the removal failed.
Power Supply/Battery Replacement:
•The battery is in a slot under the keypad.
•In case of low battery voltage, the lock indicates with repeated short beeps after opening the cabinet.
If you don't change the battery despite the warnings, it will eventually be too weak to be able to open
the lock.
•When the battery is too low, it may be possible to enter the code on the keypad
(ie, all sounds as usual), but the battery cannot open the lock despite the correctly
entered code and the handle then remains in the locked position.
•Use only high-quality alkaline batteries. (Duracell, Varta, Energizer, etc.)
