TheSemmcoEEBDisaself-containedshortduration

oxygen(O2) breathing apparatus that provides a supply

offreshoxygensothatthewearercanbreathefreelyin

acontaminatedoroxygendecientenvironment,ensuring

aquickandsafeescape.

TheSemmcoEEBDisavailableintwodifferentversions:

•15minutedurationforMilitary,Maritime&Offshore

•20minutedurationforIndustrial

Eachversioniscontainedinanorange,rigidcase,

that is discarded once the Semmco EEBD is in use.

HowtheSemmcoEEBDworks

TheSemmcoEEBDusesKO2(potassiumsuperoxide)to

provideoxygentotheuser.AstheEEBDispulledfromits

carrycase,achloratecandleprovidesoxygenfortheuser’s

rstbreath.Astheuserexhalesintothebag,moisturefrom

theirexhaledbreathactivatestheKO2thatthen‘scrubs’the

CO2andliberatesoxygen.Oxygencontinuestobegenerated

while the EEBD is being used and depending on the version

deployed,willlastfor15or20minutes.

•Thevisualindicatorisblueandnotpink

Iftheseconditionsarenotmettheunitmustn’tbeused

TheDeviceincorporatesauniquealarmsystemsothatthe

wearerknowstheexactremainingdurationofthedeviceto

enable them to complete a safe escape.
