Preparations for shooting
1Attaching the strap
• Pass the end of the
strap through the
camera’s strap mount.
• Pass it through the
strap’s buckle as show in
the illustration.
• Pull the strap to take
up and slack.
• Lastly, pull the strap
firmly and make sure the
strap will not loosen
form the buckle.
• Slide the battery/card
compartment cover lock and
open the cover.
• Being careful about the battery
orientation, Insert the battery.
• Insert all the way until you
hear a locking sound and then
check that it is locked by lever.
When removing the battery, push the lever
toward the arrow and pull out the battery.
• Slide the battery/card
compartment cover lock and
open the cover.
• Slide the card in until it is
locked into place with the
notched corner facing in the
correct direction illustrated .
• Closing the battery/card
compartment cover.
Be sure the battery/card compartment
cover is closed before using the camera.

4Charging the battery
• Open the camera USB-C
terminals door.
• Connect the camera to the AC
Adaptor using the USB-C cable.
• The camera charge lamp lights
red while charging is in progress
and turns off when charging is
complete.
• Remove the rear lens cap and
the camera cap by turning them
as show by arrows.
• Align the lens attachment mark
(red) on the camera with the
alignment mark (red) on the
lens, then insert the lens into
the camera’s body.
• Rotate the lens clockwise
until you hear it click (direction
indicated by arrow.

• Flip out the screen.
(Maximum 180°)
• Rotate the screen up, down, or
over 180° to face the subject.

7Turning on the power
• Rotate the ON/OFF to the ON position.
To turm the camera off, return the switch to the OFF position.
• Select the desired language and
press [Next].
• Date and time information is recorded on the card together with the images. The file name is
also included with the date and time information. Be sure to set the correct date and time before
using the camera.
• Set the date and time and press [Done]
to save the setting and exit .

set by pressing the le
corner [exposure mode]
button of the touch screen.

desired exposure mode.

Manual Exposure
Program Auto Allows you to shoot with the exposure adjusted automatically (both
the shutter speed and the aperture value).
Allows you to adjust the aperture and shoot when you want to blur the
background, etc.
Allows you to shoot fast-moving subjects etc., by manually adjusting
the shutter speed.
Allows you to shoot still images with the desired exposure by adjusting
the exposure (both the shutter speed and the aperture value).
Allows you to shoot movie with the exposure adjusted automatically.
Allows you to adjust the aperture and shoot when you shooting
moive.
Allows you to shoot moive fast-moving subjects etc., by manually
adjusting the shutter speed.
Allows you to shoot still movie with the desired exposure by adjusting
the exposure.

Focus point
shooting
3Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. When the image is in focus,
a beep sounds and the indicator lights up.
4Press the shutter button all the way (fully) and The camera will release the
shutter and take a picture.
