ENGLISH
The Twilight DNV is the latest in digital NV technologies in its class. It can be used for observation in nighttime under
minimum illuminance level. The built-in IR Illuminator signicantly improves device’s eciency; to acquire greater
performance you can x an accessory high power IR ashlight to the Twilight DNV using the two 1/4” sockets. The
device has a video output which allows image transmission to a monitor/TV set and recording with an external
recording device. The Twilight DNV operates on two AA batteries for around six hours. Ergonomic, compact and
handy, the Twilight DNV Digital Night Vision is a perfect unit for a large variety of uses:

BATTERY INSTALLATION:
Slide and open the battery compartment cover (1).
Insert two AA batteries (or rechargeable batteries) into the battery container. Please observe polarity shown
on the inner side of the battery compartment cover. In order to ensure long-lasting performance it is
recommended that you use Alkaline batteries.
Slide back and close the cover (1).
Attention! Please do not use batteries of dierent types or batteries with various charge level.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
• Remove the lens cap from the objective lens (2).
• Activate the device by turning the wheel (3) clockwise until you hear a click - a stable green indicator will light
up. If the battery is low the color of the indicator will turn red.
• Locate an object within 20 to 30 meters.
• Rotate the eyepiece (4) until you clearly see the frame of the display and a ne black grid on it. Adjust
brightness of the screen by turning the adjustment wheel (3).
• To turn on the IR Illuminator (5) move the switch to the IR position (6).
• Rotate the objective lens (2) until you see a sharp image of the object.
• When changing the viewing distance, try to see a sharp and high-quality image by rotating the objective lens
(2) and the brightness adjustment wheel (3). Do not rotate the eyepiece (4) - the device has already been
individually adjusted.
• Plug the output video cable into the device’s video-output jack (7) to transmit the observed image to an
external LCD monitor. When the Twilight DNV is coupled with video equipment, the observed image can be
recorded.

CARE AND STORAGE:
• Do not subject the digital NV device to shock or impact. Do not drop.
• Turn o the device when not in use and when carrying the unit.
• The device can be used in daylight as well as nighttime conditions.
• After using the device in cold temperatures, please, wait up to 2-3 hours before using the device in the warm
temperatures. This helps prevent condensation on the lenses
• Do not leave the device in direct sunlight or rain.
• Water, sand, dust, and salt can damage the device.
• Do not connect stray devices (headphones, for example) to the «Video» port. This may disable your device.
• When focusing on the display (you can see the ne black net) 7 light or dark spots on the whole eld of view in the
image plane are acceptable.
• Design of the unit does not provide for adjustment of the IR-Illuminator..
CLEANING
• Do not scratch the external lens surfaces or touch them with your ngers.
• Clean the device’s lenses with optic/camera lens tissue or a clean cloth moistened with alcohol. You may use your
breath to mist the surface of the glass prior to wiping. Clean the device’s surfaces with alcohol if necessary and dry
thoroughly.
• The device’s plastic surfaces do not require special treatment. If necessary, clean the unit’s surfaces with a clean, soft
cloth and a petroleum-based jelly and dry thoroughly.
Important Note
Do not pour alcohol directly on the lenses. Do not clean lenses and unit surfaces with any paper, such as newspaper,
notebook paper, etc.: this can damage the coating.

STORAGE:
Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for longer than two months.
Always store the Twilight DNV in its case.
Always store the Twilight DNV in a dry, well-ventilated area away from heating/air conditioning vents and other heat-
ing devices.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
Listed below is possible problems that you may encounter with your equipment. If the problem is not listed or the
corrective actions listed do not x the issue please notify the manufacturer.
•The Monocular fails to activate.... Check for defective, missing, or improperly installed batteries and replace or install
if necessary.
• Poor Image.... Check the objective lens and eyepiece, making sure they are focused according to the Instructions
listed in the section: OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. Check for fog on the lens.
• There are several light or black dots (pixels) on the display of the device.... Presence of dots is caused by matrix
production technology and is not a defect.
