GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Please read these instructions carefully and
retain them for reference.
• Use this appliance solely in accordance with
these instructions.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning
how to use the appliance by someone responsible
for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
• Have any repairs that are necessary, carried
out solely by a qualified electrician. Never try to
repair the appliance by yourself.
• Thisapplianceisintendedtobeusedinhousehold
and similar applications such as:
• staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments
• farm houses
• by clients in hotels, motels and other residential
type environments
• bed and breakfast type environments

• Before use please verify that the main voltage is
the same as indicated on the rating plate of the
appliance.
• Make sure that you always use an earthed wall
socket to connect the appliance.
• Always remove the plug from the main socket
before moving the appliance and when the
appliance is not in use.
• Remove the plug from the wall socket by pulling
the plug, not the power cord.
• Check the appliance’s power cord regularly to
make sure it is not damaged. Do not use the
appliance if the power cord is damaged. Have
the damaged power cord replaced by a qualified
person or service company.
• Certain parts of the appliance may get hot. Do not
touch these parts to prevent burning yourself.
• Make sure that the appliance, the power cord or
the plug do not make contact with any other hot
services, such as a hot hob or naked flame.
• Make sure that the appliance, the power cord and
plug do not make contact with water.
• Never use the appliance outdoors.
• Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.
• Always remove the plug from the wall socket
after use, and before cleaning the appliance.

• Never allow the power cord to hang over the edge
of the draining board, worktop or table.
• Make sure that your hands are dry before touching
the appliance, power cord or plug.
• Never use the appliance in a humid room. The
base and exterior of the machine must not
become wet.
• Never immerse the appliance, the plug or the
power cord in water or other liquid.
• Do not pick up the appliance if it falls into water.
Remove the plug from the wall socket immediately
and do not use the appliance any more.
• Never allow the power cord to hang over the edge
of the draining board, worktop or table.
• Use solely the base supplied with the jug kettle.
Never use the base for other purposes.
• Remove the jug from the base, and fill with water.
The water level must be between the MAX. and
MIN. marks! If the kettle is overfilled, boiling
water may be ejected, which might arise a hazard
to the user.
• Do not switch on the appliance before you have
filled it with water. Fill the jug only with cold
water.
• The jug’s lid must remain securely closed whilst
the appliance is in use.

• Never open the lid when the water is still boiling.
• Use the appliance only to boil or heat water.
Never use it for other liquids!
• Fill the jug kettle with at least 0,5 litres of water.
• After use, let the appliance to reach the room
temperature before storage.
• This appliance cannot be used through an
external timer or by a remote control.
SERVICE & REPAIR
1. For service or repair under warranty, please contact the authorized service com-
pany that is mentioned on the guarantee card that accompanies the product.
2. Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug. If the supply cord is
damaged, return the appliance to a SINGER service center for examination repair
or adjustment. Do not attempt to dismantle any part of the appliance. This should
only be done at an authorized SINGER service centre.
3. The partial or total non-respect of the safety instructions in the present instruction
manual will automatically release Singer of any type of responsibility in case of
malfunction of the machine or injuries to persons or animals.
4. In case of manipulation, repairing or any modification of the machine made by
unqualified persons or in case of improper use, the guarantee will be automatically
cancelled.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Please read these operating instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place. Be-
fore using for the first time, boil fresh water at least twice in the appliance to remove
any manufacturing residues. Use only water without any additives or ingredients.

USE
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Open the kettle by pressing the unlocking button on the handle. Then fill in some
water. The water level can be read off using the water level indicator on the kettle.
Please do not overfill the kettle.
3. Close the lid by releasing the unlocking button on the handle.
4. Place the kettle flush on the base
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
1. Switch the kettle on by using the On switch at the bottom of the handle. The indica-
tor light turns on.
2. The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled. Now disconnect
the kettle from the mains power supply. Always hold the lid closed when pouring the
water out. Beware of scalding!
CLEANING
• Always pull out the plug from the socket before cleaning!
• The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp
cloth without any additives.

DECALCIFICATION
• The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the hardness of the water
and on how often the appliance is used.
• If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be decalcified.
1. Remove the plug from the wall socket, and allow the appliance to cool down.
2. The jug kettle is fitted with a descaling filter. This filter must be removed for clean-
ing.
3. Fill the jug with a vinegar solution to the MAX level, and bring to the boil.
4. Leave the jug filled with the vinegar solution to stand for a couple of hours.
5. Empty the jug, fill with clean water to the MAX level, and bring to the boil. Empty
the jug. Repeat this process twice.
NOTE: Never use ammonia or other products to descale the appliance. These can
be injurious to your health. Use solely a vinegar solution, or special descaling agents
available from retailers.
Disposal of old Electrical & Electronic Equipment (Applicable in the European Union and other Eu-
ropean countries with separate collection systems).
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product shall not be treated
as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this productis disposed of cor-
rectly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human
health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. The
recycling of materials will help to conserve natural resources. For more detailed information
about recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your household waste
disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.

• Ελέγξτε αν ητάση που αναφέρεται στη βάση

πριν τη συνδέσετε.
• Βεβαιωθείτε ότι χρησιμοποιείτε πάντοτε μια γει-
ωμένη πρίζα για να συνδέσετε τη συσκευή.
• Πάντα να βγάζετε το φις από την πρίζα πριν με-
τακινήσετε τη συσκευή και όταν ησυσκευή δεν
είναι σε χρήση.
• Βγάλτε το φις από την πρίζα τραβώντας το βύ-
σμα και όχι το καλώδιο τροφοδοσίας.
• Το καλώδιο ρεύματος πρέπει να ελέγχεται τα-
κτικά για σημάδια φθοράς. Μην λειτουργείτε τη
συσκευή με φθαρμένο καλώδιο ήφις. Εάν το
καλώδιο ρεύματος έχει φθαρεί, επιστρέψτε τη
συσκευή στο κοντινότερο Εξουσιοδοτημένο κα-
τάστημα SINGER SERVICE για έλεγχο και επι-
σκευή.
• Ορισμένα μέρη της συσκευής μπορεί να έχουν
πολύ υψηλή θερμοκρασία. Μην αγγίζετε αυτά τα
μέρη διότι υπάρχει κίνδυνος εγκαύματος.
• Βεβαιωθείτε ότι ησυσκευή, το καλώδιο ρεύμα-
τος και το φις δεν έρχονται σε επαφή με πηγές
θερμότητας όπως καυτή εστία ήγυμνή φλόγα.
• Βεβαιωθείτε ότι ησυσκευή, το καλώδιο ρεύμα-
τος και το φις δεν έρχονται σε επαφή με νερό.

• Μην χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευή σε εξωτερικούς
χώρους.
• Τοποθετήστε τη συσκευή πάνω σε μία επίπεδη
και σταθερή επιφάνεια.
• Αποσυνδέστε τη συσκευή από το ρεύμα μετά τη
χρήση και πριν τον καθαρισμό της.
• Ποτέ μην αφήνετε το καλώδιο ρεύματος να κρέ-
μεται από την άκρη του πάγκου ήτραπεζιού.
• Βεβαιωθείτε ότι τα χέρια σας είναι στεγνά πριν
ακουμπήσετε τη συσκευή, το καλώδιο ήτο φις.
• Μην χρησιμοποιείτε ποτέ της συσκευή σε χώρο
που υπάρχει υγρασία. Ηβάση και το σώμα της
συσκευής δεν πρέπει να βραχούν.
• Ποτέ μην βυθίζετε τη συσκευή, το φις ήτο κα-
λώδιο ρεύματος μέσα σε νερό ήσε οποιοδήποτε
άλλο υγρό.
• Μην σηκώσετε τη συσκευή αν πέσει σε νερό.
Βγάλτε το φις από την πρίζα αμέσως και μην
χρησιμοποιήσετε τη συσκευή ξανά.
• Ποτέ μην χρησιμοποιήσετε το βραστήρα με κά-
ποια άλλη βάση εκτός από τη δική του. Ποτέ μην
χρησιμοποιείται τη βάση για κάποια άλλη χρήση.
• Αφαιρέστε την κανάτα από τη βάση και γεμίστε
με νερό. Το επίπεδο του νερού πρέπει να είναι
μεταξύ της ένδειξης MAX και MIN! Εάν γεμίσετε
την κανάτα πάνω από την ένδειξη MAX το βρα-
