Feature highlights

Your SMART Board™ 8070i interactive display features SMART’s proprietary DViT™ (Digital Vision

Touch) technology on an LCD screen which enables you to select, write and erase on the interactive

surface. It enables you to do everything you can do at your computer—open and close applications,

conference with others, create new documents or edit existing ones, visit websites, play and

manipulate video clips and more—just by touching the interactive surface. Two users can also draw

on the interactive surface at the same time, and you can use an array of gestures within applications.

Chapter 1

You can also write over any application in digital ink using a pen tray pen or your finger, and then save

these notes for future reference and distribution.

Commercial-grade, touch-enabled display

The 8070i is a 70" commercial-grade high-definition display powered by SMART’s proprietary DViT

(Digital Vision Touch) technology, delivering a superior touch experience and bright, crisp 1080p

images that make it easy to present and work with complex data.

Elegant, sophisticated design

The professional design and crisp, eye-catching visuals of the 8070i make it perfect for any high-end

workspace.

Software

To use all the features of your interactive display described in this guide, go to

smarttech.com/downloads and ensure that you have the lastest version of SMART software and

SMART Product Drivers installed on your computer.

Dual sketch capabilities

Two people can each pick up a pen and draw on the interactive surface at the same time, providing a

higher degree of interactivity.

SMART Ink™

The SMART Ink™ feature smoothes out the appearance of the digital ink, which improves the

legibility of your handwriting as you write over applications, websites and videos. The ink becomes an

object that you can move and manipulate.

Touch and gestures

You can perform mouse functions with your finger, and write and erase digital ink with a pen tray pen

or the eraser. The object awareness feature enables you to pick up a pen, and then write, select or

erase without replacing the pen.

Durable surface

The 8070i features a hardened glass display.
